I hope the next ten years are at least as good as the last four since my retirement. Of course, I will be 90 in ten years, so who knows what the future really holds.
@tinamarie1974@kyeh
Yep, celebrating my next to last birthday in my 6th decade!
Of course I am doing it at work… but it IS my last week before ‘retirement’.
Please don’t make me go through another 10 years like the last 10.
Lost both parents. Lost both of my BFFs to cancer. Lost 6 of my dogs to the Rainbow Bridge, including heartdog Shadow. Got early-retired from my job of 40+ years. There’s much to be grateful for. And much to mourn.
I really hope the next 10 years will be very chill. And less toxic. Go Braves. Go Dawgs.
@llangley so hard losing our fur biddies. A piece of our heart goes with them. I have lost 3 of them in the last handful of years at 17, 17 and almost 20. Fortunately all of them older but still… hard. In the next 10 years I will lose at least 2 more leaving me, if I am lucky (as I lost one at 3.5, one at 11 and one at 13) just 2 who will be 16 then.
I’m already married, so in 10 years I will have gotten married. (oh, I would be lots of fun at parties, if I could stand to hang out in crowds)
“Lived another 10 years” sounds like an easily-correct answer, but I can’t actually guarantee I’ll live another 10 years. But I know I’ll still have gotten married by then. I gotta stay with the most correct answer.
Hemorrhoids
@OnionSoup Do you mean hemehroids? From sitting on all the piles of Meh junk you buy during those 10 years?

@zeeshanyazdani Is that a kid with one leg and half a face?
@Fuzzalini @zeeshanyazdani 2.5 children. Maybe 2.75.
@blaineg @Fuzzalini @zeeshanyazdani five half-children… Yeah that’s about right
@blaineg @pakopako @zeeshanyazdani AI people always have weird limbs, extra fingers (or missing fingers) etc.
Become a grandparent.

Retired and purchased a beach house
Probably have had cataract surgery.
Retired, possibly moved back to Florida.
The last 10 years has been a series of unforeseen life changes. History predicts more of them.
There is a consistency of button clicks, so predicting at least 3652 more.

@llangley I definitely hope you have a much better decade ahead of you!
Died, most likely.
Found a deodorant that truly keeps me from stinking four hours after a shower.
And I hadn’t even broken a sweat!
Finally paid off my school loans (actually will have done it a little earlier than that but not by much). Good by that ball and chain.
I just got laid off from the job I worked the last ten years (WFR), so it ain’t going to be a replay.
Based on how my friends are doing?
Died, most likely.
I’ll have teenagers 🫣
Retired and happy is the plan. Things never go according to plan.
Retired, I hope!
Probably be jailed or executed for being queer in this country

I should be retired now.
That plan went 540°.
