I actually love this thing. It’s a bit longer to brew than the drip filter coffee maker, but I like that the filter is integrated and metal so the only waste are the grounds. If you have a grinder that can do espresso fineness, you’re golden.
The only drawback is you can’t immediately make a second batch, as you should let it cool down between batches.
The finished espresso is not recirculated like a percolator, so you don’t risk burning it. The pressure forces it up through the grounds once and it’s stored in the upper chamber.
As aethermancer said, this is not a percolator as the specs above say. It’s a moka pot, period. It also cannot, as the specs say, make lattes or cappuccinos. You need something else to heat and then steam or aerate the milk.
