For those you are robots there is a birthday card thread where you can post a birthday card and be entered in @Pavlov 's "enhanced" fuku contest. Those who did not get a fuku might win the prize, those who got the fuku can get just votes and laughs. Meh will get a bunch of cards. Don't post them in the thread I started for us robots to post them in as no one posted there. Use Pavlov's thread.
I wasn't very clear in my initial post, sorry 'bout that. The Fukubukuros, this last time around, had self addressed to Meh, stamped, blank birthday cards in each one. I'm curious about how many get sent back with more than just birthday wishes. As I posted elsewhere, I bet there will be a lot of glitter bombs.
@Teripie Thanks for the glitter bomb suggestion. I was trying to think of something creative to include in the envelope when I send it back. It's not big enough to hold cookies or liquor.
They plan to do something neat with them at a future time... Maybe a video, maybe a forum post... Don't worry, it's definitely not the last we've seen of them!
@JonT I'm about to mail my birthday card to Meh. Enclosed is a smaller envelope with a special gift just for you. Here are hints as to what it might be:
It's a very, very nice little piece of paper. I highly doubt anyone else here in the forum, or even any of the 85,574 Meh customers, have ever, or will ever own. It's something I know you have never owned, or expected to ever own, but I'm confident that you will really cherish it. Good luck guessing!
We've gotten about 10 back so far and will be doing a nice wrap up post - probably next week - once we feel like we've gotten most of them in that are being sent.
@MEHcus I'm waiting until my daughter gets back from horse camp in hopes of having both my kids add something to it. So, mine may or may not get there before then. This is Meh, some (many?) of us may be lazy procrastinators, too.
@MEHcus Yeah give us a little more time. I for one am swamped and had to work most of last weekend so likely won't get it sent until this coming weekend...
@MEHcus I'm still waiting on delivery this Friday (hopefully!) of my fuku so if we could have another week or two to get them back that would be awesome!
@MEHcus wait. You want them back that quickly? I just got mine yesterday. It won't go out for a few days.... You probably won't get it for a week or two...
@sohmageek@codea83@duodec@PurplePawprints the people have spoken, we'll hold off on doing a post for a few weeks. We hadn't really discussed when we'd do one yet, I was just generalizing on behalf of @JonT. Lesson learned.
Was the intention to have them sent back this year? I figured since the Birthday had passed, and they weren't belated birthday cards, they were for next year. I've put it away, with the intention of sending it for your 2nd birthday.
@MrMark It was. But, what you do with it is totally up to you. We'll have another birthday in a year and then another one in two years and then another one in three years and then another one in four years and then another one in five years and then another one in six years and then another one in seven years and then another one in eight years and then another one in nine years and then we'll stop getting older because the internet will go away or something. So you've got some time.
@MEHcus Or more likely - the Post Office (for snail mail) will go away and there will be no way to mail a card. The Post Office will just scan stuff and send electronically. (I'm rather surprised that some who got the cards haven't "sent" them back to you that way already. Not that I want to give anyone ideas ...)
@clonetek too bad they didn't do the postage paid by recipient stamps. You can tape those return envelopes on a brick and the recipient has to pay postage!
Looks like everyone is trying to make a statement with their cards. Lots of surprises appear to be in store. Who's going to make the biggest impression?
ugh, mailed mine this morning (again) and it was in my mailbox this afternoon with no reason why it was returned. >:( lazy mailman. I'll drop it off at the post office in the morning!
@Teripie I don't think we've seen yours yet but we should be getting some more in today. Fear not, we're setting them all aside with who sent them and what not and will get a post up about it when the time is right.
I forgot to put "Teripie" on the outside, but I don't think that will matter. Sorry I'm posting so much about this but the thing I sent @JonT will be the coolest "silly" gift he'll probably ever get. In my opinion, that is.......
Oi! Who put the postage on? I think I have to put another stamp on it as I think this will be too heavy to mail as is... Also I'm putting a label for the address as It looks like Carrellten, Texxas 75888 It'll go in the mail today, but picked up on Monday! :)
@axleman1011 Yeah. I didn't mean to... I meant to put it in the box cause how funny is a sase sent inside something else so the stamp could still be uses again ;) but then it ended up not going in the box. And I have the hardest time figuring out what to put. I think they will like it :)

@Kidsandliz I think we all know all about this. That isn't what this thread was asking about.
@PurplePawprints Well, dammit, I didn't know, and I usually know everything.
I wasn't very clear in my initial post, sorry 'bout that.

Heya Teripie!
On @JonT's periscope last night (which you can still watch a replay of until midnight tonight) he mentioned that none of them had arrived back yet, and then was interrupted by another Mehstaffer in chat who said they had received one so far.
They plan to do something neat with them at a future time... Maybe a video, maybe a forum post... Don't worry, it's definitely not the last we've seen of them!

@Teripie Is it a picture of you playing badminton with a troop of monkeys?
@DaveInSoCal Dammit! How'd you know that? (not)
@Teripie is it one of your nose hairs?
@Teripie
@Teripie @JonT It's something you can buy on EBay for about $25.
@Teripie
Card away!

@MEHcus Wait, you do what the people want? All right people, what do we want?

@MrMark I was thinking the same thing.
Just got mine today!
Mine got returned due to not enough postage. :O
Stuck 2 more stamps on it and mailed it again today. :)
@clonetek too bad they didn't do the postage paid by recipient stamps. You can tape those return envelopes on a brick and the recipient has to pay postage!
@clonetek I weighed mine first with the Escali Pico Digital Scale to be sure it was under 1 oz :)
@sohmageek only if they accept the package.
@JonT Has my card come in yet? I'm a little concerned it'll be overlooked among the potential flood of cards.
@Teripie I don't think we've seen yours yet but we should be getting some more in today. Fear not, we're setting them all aside with who sent them and what not and will get a post up about it when the time is right.
Sent mine back a couple days ago. This is fun. Seligman on a smaller scale.
Just sent mine out this morning. I apologize in advance for my poor penmanship and even poorer analogies I threw in there. Enjoy!
I forgot to put "Teripie" on the outside, but I don't think that will matter. Sorry I'm posting so much about this but the thing I sent @JonT will be the coolest "silly" gift he'll probably ever get. In my opinion, that is.......
Ahhh I completely forgot! I will get something done and mailed this weekend for sure! Please forgive me, Meh!
I'm kind of excited to see what is in all of the cards...
I know I keep forgetting something... :)
The card should be there already, the overflow should get there Friday. I look forward to scathing reprisals.
Oi! Who put the postage on? I think I have to put another stamp on it as I think this will be too heavy to mail as is... Also I'm putting a label for the address as It looks like Carrellten, Texxas 75888 It'll go in the mail today, but picked up on Monday! :)
Edit: Always read the post date before replying kiddos.
@axleman1011 I take it something you changed? :)
@sohmageek yeah i originally posted something about how surprised i was everyone waited this long to send their cards.
@axleman1011 Yeah. I didn't mean to... I meant to put it in the box cause how funny is a sase sent inside something else so the stamp could still be uses again ;) but then it ended up not going in the box. And I have the hardest time figuring out what to put. I think they will like it :)
I mailed mine out about a week and a half ago. It should be there by now.
When's the big birthday card reveal? I'm dyeing to know what @JonT thought of the thing I sent him.
@Teripie Whenever they do it I hope they do it as either a thread or a youtube video. None of this periscope temporary shit.
