@PooltoyWolf And it doesn’t help that the banner says “WOMAN” — as if it’s women that contain sodium phosphate.
But if we’re not cannibals, that shouldn’t matter, right?
@chienfou I doubt that 80% of the RDA is going to cause immediate harm; the question here pertains to how much sodium phosphate constitutes a potentially immediate-harm or frequent-dose-accumulation-harm risk. The fact that we can now measure the level of dissolved metals in drinking water down to parts per billion does not make those levels significant or hazardous, and stating “[X] is present and can cause harm” without quantification of the real risk is a null statement.
i feel like life in general increases the risk of those things anyway
I’m a bit confused.

@PooltoyWolf
In yesterday’s ramen noodles.
In lots of other processed foods as well, from what I saw online.
@Kyeh Thanks for the context!
@PooltoyWolf It IS mysterious if you’re only just seeing it now!
@xobzoo I feel like there’s other successful methods to eat that not involving cannibalism. But I’ll leave you to your own research.
Please to be providing clarification of what constitutes “excess” and how close this product comes to that level.
Even distilled water has an LD50 rating.
@werehatrack
I think single serving items that contain over 80% of the RDA of sodium can safely be called ‘excessive’…
