Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.
“A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.” it’s one of those first moments of things starting to fall in place for his plan and he takes it calmly and in stride, having played everyone already and just plugging away. Plus it’s easy to slip into conversation with most people missing it.
'I stole Steve’s shield, remember? I also took the wings for your ass, so that you could save his ass from his ass. Unlike you I didn’t have the Avengers to back me up, so I’m off the grid in Madripoor."

@medz
@JT954 just watched - you beat me to it!
Who gives a rats arse?
@Evansdoor a great moment, but I think it wasn’t canon
I liked it when he said “Luke, I, am your father”
@squishybrain except that’s not Palpatine. Lol
@zinimusprime
@jerk_nugget the internet has no tone. My miss should be excused before tribune.
@squishybrain A good one, for sure. But his best of all was:
“I’ve done far worse than kill you. I’ve hurt you. And I wish to go on… hurting you.”
@zinimusprime oh certainly. also, i could be wrong too! meh tends to err on the cheeky/sarcastic side but it takes all kinds, as they say
Every line that ends with the word “complete”
Oh, you said “best” line… sorry
Ahhhhhhhhhhh!
@Rueki oh well. can’t get the gif to post from my phone.

The lines from the emperor were only great because the delivery made them that way. Epic.
@tweezak I agree. His delivery and tone is perfect for the role.
'I stole Steve’s shield, remember? I also took the wings for your ass, so that you could save his ass from his ass. Unlike you I didn’t have the Avengers to back me up, so I’m off the grid in Madripoor."
What? Wrong Power Broker?
“Go For Papa Palpatine”
“What the Hell is an Aluminum Falcon?”
@earlyre Yep. Robot Chicken wins.
“Anakin, always keep your lightsaber and a toothbrush close at hand. The weapon instills respect, but people trust a Jedi with good teeth.”
“I thought ruling the galaxy would be more fun than this.”
“The lightning bolts from the fingers are impressive, but it’s really the maniacal cackle that catches them off guard.”
“I became a Sith because of my parents. They could have named me Bill, or Joe, or George, but no - they had to name me after their pet shaak, Sheev!”
