The house band would shame well-deserving (or not) patrons into consuming shots of a foul liquor purported to be tequila for the entertainment of everyone else. The stuff was called Guatemala Bob’s, and tasted like diesel fuel.
@mike808 I was about to say the exact same thing. One of my local Mexican eateries serves up cucumber margaritas with Tajin on the rim instead of salt. It’s killer. If you’re ever in Los Angeles, look up the restaurant “Loteria Grill.”

that said, a classic margarita is good too. but never a blended margarita for me. and if it’s made with cheap shit like cuervo gold or something i’ll pass entirely.
i’ve made margaritas from scratch at home and they’re delicious but i’d rather leave the work to somebody else. palomas with grapefruit jarritos are quite good too

We get a bucket of margarita mix from the grocery store. Mix it with Sprite (from the same store). Kids love it. Me too.
