@mike808 I was about to say the exact same thing. One of my local Mexican eateries serves up cucumber margaritas with Tajin on the rim instead of salt. It’s killer. If you’re ever in Los Angeles, look up the restaurant “Loteria Grill.”
@PhysAssist Let’s just say it started with a bunch of guys at a bar in downtown St. Louis, before heading out to a bachelor party. The house band would shame well-deserving (or not) patrons into consuming shots of a foul liquor purported to be tequila for the entertainment of everyone else. The stuff was called Guatemala Bob’s, and tasted like diesel fuel.
@nolrak@shahnm Wow. I have never been owned before that bad in a meh.com comments section. And by TWO people who made the same joke. And I am sure that both of those people knew what I meant in my original comment. It does feel nice that the comment section lived up to the website’s name.
@daveinwarsh@nolrak@shahnm I was just having a little fun. I know people like making snarky comments on here. And you are right. This is a fine thread.
my favorite is from a chain restaurant around here called margaritas, it’s a prickly pear margarita with habanero simple syrup. on the rocks with salt.
that said, a classic margarita is good too. but never a blended margarita for me. and if it’s made with cheap shit like cuervo gold or something i’ll pass entirely.
i’ve made margaritas from scratch at home and they’re delicious but i’d rather leave the work to somebody else. palomas with grapefruit jarritos are quite good too

@lakertaylor13 @nolrak @shahnm I am also shocked… SHOCKED that anyone would leave a snarky comment in this fine thread!

Can’t be a coincidence this is being sold on the upcoming weekend.
Never tried a margarita. I don’t drink much or very often.
You can also serve it “up” in a stemmed glass (martini, coupe, champagne flute what the heck) with no ice
