@Thumperchick, 2525 always makes me think of Cleopatra 2525, the Wikipedia synopsis of which starts like this, “When complications arise during her breast augmentation surgery, 20th-century exotic dancer Cleo (Jennifer Sky) is put into suspended animation. Waking 525 years in the future, Cleo joins two women in their fight against the Baileys, armed flying machines who now control Earth’s surface.”
It isn’t the worst SciFi show I’ve seen, but it certainly isn’t something that I’d going out of my way to ever watch again (except possibly with the sound off).
I was looking at those Maui speaker lights on Morningsave this afternoon. I’m still not going to buy them, but thanks for keeping track of my browsing history, you creepers.
Meeehhhhh dang it, I’m in. These will probably work just fine in my florida room and allow me to hear the TV when I’m grilling and watching through the windows.
Leave it to Meh to find yet another combo of bluetooth speaker(s) and LED light(s)… If there was an additional knife attachment somewhere, it would be even more of a meh-racle.
@dam091 He has trouble getting going too- I think the little dude needs some Ensure or Viagra or something. That’s probably why he ended up on Morningsave.
@skemmehs please fix start of your write-up: “The lights come either with their own built-in speakers (“Twilight”) or without (“Island”), …” Otherwise, fun as always.
@unksol In his/her defense, not everybody wants to/has time to read through an entire thread, when nice people can simply answer a question, if they know the answer.
Got a set w/ the three speakers last month from Morning Save & haven’t been too impressed. The two satellite speaker/candles constantly cut in & out from the base unit. Just got a new house & really wanted these to work out on our patio…
These have been on morningsave for a very long time. How many of these did meh but to not be able to sell them by now? Maybe these would sell better in a bull pack like the cheapie sunglasses?
@jeffreyarhodes The more expensive one (Island?) has three speakers that are also led candles. The less expensive one (Twilight?) has one speaker that is also a candle and two extra candles.
Okay, played with them. Impressions: Will do fine for my ranch style house throwing a party and having music in 3 different rooms. However, when the satellite speakers are close to the big speaker, the sound is annoyingly out of sync. A split second delay between the center speaker and the satellite speakers. I’ve had them going for about an hour, and it’s fine when you have them separated… you can’t hear the difference. Range is OK but not great. But they will indeed do for the purpose I got them. Just don’t expect anything spectacular for the price you paid.
I think mine are defective… Main speaker doesn’t connect after a few seconds…Maui speakers work but cut out between them, thinking it is the battery life
The Maui (small speakers) are NOT water resistant without taking them apart and putting some silicone in to seal them up.
My advice: seal around the rubber candle “flame” with silicone, and DON’T EVER plug/block the drain hole on the bottom.
The tube that runs through the unit is made of several sections that just kind of fit together. With nothing sealed together and the bottom hole plugged, water will go through the seams in the drain tube and get all the internal circuitry wet.
Let’s hope I caught this in time and was able to disassemble the thing early enough to dry it out without any damage.
I don’t know if mine are defective (twilight), but the satelite candles will regularly turn on/off independently if I come back after a few hours…thinking there’s some other device using 5.8 ghz making them Do that?

@norman8 2525
@Thumperchick When I did listen to music, that was one of my favorite songs.

Bem Ohana . . .
Me: No wanna’
I wish they taught such clean and classic model numbering in model numbering school.
@KDemo They do. Most people choose the Handsome Boy Modeling School instead.
@yakkoTDI

Would have bought this if it was the Obama system.
@somf69 THANKS OHANA
@somf69 Dont blame Meh, blame Ohana.
@Thumperchick ohana means family
@somf69 LOL! If it were the “Obama system” it would be a lot more expensive…and also broken and busted.
@alphaspark Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. We need to buy them all! Leave no speaker behind.
Meh is super manipulative, I guess. But it worked. I bought one.
I was looking at those Maui speaker lights on Morningsave this afternoon. I’m still not going to buy them, but thanks for keeping track of my browsing history, you creepers.
Didn’t realize Benihana made speakers!!
Looks like they might be good for hot tub tunes. The plastic though, looks at bit too…plasticky.
Alright, close to biting because I have an unnatural bluetooth speaker fetish.
Do the satellite speakers mean that this does stereo or “stereo” (the same thing through all speakers).
If they do stereo and not “stereo” then I’m in.
@revloki These play the same thing through all speakers, so unfortunately “stereo”
@troy That’s disappointing, considering Bem is real proud of their sh** and the original MSRP on these things is 180 bucks.
Meeehhhhh dang it, I’m in. These will probably work just fine in my florida room and allow me to hear the TV when I’m grilling and watching through the windows.
shocking-offensive-pesto
@revloki
The use of the word stereo shall not be used anywhere in the context of these speakers
@dickie541 These are more hydroponic than stereophonic.
They will help you grow (as a person.)

Speaker for the light
@AttyVette
“You light up my speaker.”
Any idea how long the battery lasts for the speaker version? And why not the light-only version, while we’re at it
Meh selling LEDs and Bluetooth and speakers all in the same product. Balance has been restored to the universe.
@mehcuda67
/youtube question of balance
How do you turn the lights off three times in a row?
![I assume the middle is light on ][1]

I’m a hard core Meh user and I also own this Bem speaker:
It’s crap. OK my other Bem speakers are pretty nice.
@sammydog01 looks like he ran out of energy on that second verse
@dam091 He has trouble getting going too- I think the little dude needs some Ensure or Viagra or something. That’s probably why he ended up on Morningsave.
They’re selling these at Sharper Image for $249.99!!!
@ELJAY https://www.sharperimage.com/si/view/product/Kona+Bluetooth+Speaker+with+2+Maui+Speaker+Lights/205038
also, another product review there
@ELJAY Hey, don’t forget to click for your Mystery Savings!
Why do I want 3 mono speakers?
Are there left, right, center designations?
@mike808
When the balance of the universe is restored, you will find your true center.
@skemmehs please fix start of your write-up: “The lights come either with their own built-in speakers (“Twilight”) or without (“Island”), …” Otherwise, fun as always.
Also, @skemmehs, it is altar (place to chop parts off or stab bodies) and not alter (change).
The actual question, are they stereo or just triple mono?
@Hypnos answered 6 hours ago if you bothered to read the thread. Mono
@unksol In his/her defense, not everybody wants to/has time to read through an entire thread, when nice people can simply answer a question, if they know the answer.
Can I use this to dock my apple? If so, which one do you get?
what they should have done is make a 3.1 set-up…L,R, bass…or switch to just one center for those cheapskates with the center only set-up…
Looks like it was $70 on groupon, and didn’t get great reviews: https://www.groupon.com/latest-deals/gg-ohana-island-wireless-bluetooth-light-and-audio-system-3-piece
Don’t need any more speakers.
I’ve been pretending I can hear my phone from the shower while it’s setting on the toilet for too long.

I would feel demoralized knowing that the satellite speakers are connected over wifi but I can only connect over Bluetooth.
Got a set w/ the three speakers last month from Morning Save & haven’t been too impressed. The two satellite speaker/candles constantly cut in & out from the base unit. Just got a new house & really wanted these to work out on our patio…
99 speakers, 99 phones, each my friends would need 11 phones each. Mind blown!!
Or, if I got 2 more friends, what are the odds, 9 phones each. See, I told you, mind blown!!
These have been on morningsave for a very long time. How many of these did meh but to not be able to sell them by now? Maybe these would sell better in a bull pack like the cheapie sunglasses?
@donrull 99 for $1000?
@sammydog01 They would probably sell out at 99 for $10.
When they are connected to the base is it stereo sound, or is each speaker playing the same mono audio signal?
@Hoeck Same signal says @troy.
@Hoeck Answered many hours ago.
@donrull
/giphy be nice
Speakers without any real sound quality reviews. Not even some minimal, lying sound specs. And yet 600 sold half way thru the day. Yep, meh.
I still not sure what the difference between the two, internet searching has not helped.
@jeffreyarhodes The more expensive one (Island?) has three speakers that are also led candles. The less expensive one (Twilight?) has one speaker that is also a candle and two extra candles.
If anyone wants to sell their Bem Ohana Maui speakers, please message me. Thanks!

@to0w1r3d face the Ohana logo on the small speakers towards the base unit. The antenna is right behind the last A.
