I'd like to say I'm all about the rechargeables, but I'm not. I tried some. They were awful. Never held the charge. Not that the current camera I have helps any. It eats batteries. It takes like 2 pictures, ok, maybe 3, with the green ones. I ordered some of these, even though I have a large battery stash from a deal on ebay. What the heck. I'll share. And take a few pictures.
A few years ago I owned a wireless logitech keyboard/ mouse combo. It consumed aa batteries at an amazing rate so I purchased a bunch of rechargables. They got the job done but their stamina was no where near that of alkaline. I have since scrapped that rig for a Microsoft set that is much more frugal with power. So I no longer have the need for rechargables and have not purchased them in a while. Wondering if their performance has improved?
I once bought a rechargeable battery set and my boyfriend thought the batteries were garbage so he threw out all but one, so I had a charging dock and a single AAA battery. We are no longer dating each other.
If I had a charger that accommodated 96 batteries and maintained them safely with a trickle charge, I might go back to rechargeables. However, whenever I purge a set of toys from the house, it's such an exhausting experience that I can't be bothered to check if they have rechargeable batteries in them.
If you have kids that cling to toys they've long grown out of and stopped playing with, you'll know why that's so exhausting.
rechargeable is great if you know when you'll need batteries... but who the hell knows that? so the hell with them, and the hell with the environment while we're at it
Drawing a line in the sand right now.
I USE SOME OF BOTH AND YOU'RE EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US!
Or... both!

I answered "rechargeable" in the poll, and then promptly ordered vast amounts of these batteries. Go figure.
Maybe you can use these to somehow recharge the rechargeable ones..

Take a look at the Panasonic Eneloop line. I have a MS wireless keyboard/mouse combo that has been running with those for about 15 months.

Who thinks batteries are garbage? You made the right call.

Seems like they're putting batteries in ALL baby toys these days. We just sold a bunch to a 2nd hand store and had to verify they all worked

I typically do not use rechargeable batteries unless it's an official battery pack made specifically for the component/device.
