@mike808 Back a bunch of years ago I worked at a local pizza joint & every Friday like clockwork, we had a customer who ordered a shrimp & sauerkraut pizza. It was almost tough to make! It smelled so bad…not sure how anyone would want to eat it. But they kept ordering it, so they must’ve liked it.
@LJeAYsy4LoqxEC Your mention of Pineapple, pepperoni & jalapeño triggered a thought:
You could give things a Southern twist by substituting (fried) bologna for the pepperoni, and have a “PB&J” (Pineapple, Bologna & Jalapeño) pizza
(Not something I’d necessarily try, mind you. I’m not big on processed cold cuts, and I’ve never eaten SPAM, and I can’t recall ever eating any other meat that came out of a can…)
In Japan they still have Shakey’s pizza. When I was there about 10 years ago, my aunt ordered a pizza for us and I was amused at some of the toppings. One that they had that’s not on this menu was potato salad!
A must
Well said, IRK. And as for pineapple pizza, nom nom nom.
Before you say “Not in a million years”…
I present the Hawaiian Banana Herring Royale.
@mike808
Okay, that one - not in a million years.
@mike808 What, no heads on the Herring?
They’re the best part…

Irk, you’re awesome.
Yes to pineapple pizza (we get it with sausage, in addition to the classic, ham). And, alas, people are a problem, variously.
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
It’s not authentic Hawaiian pizza unless it has Spam on it to go with the pineapple.
While Hawaiian pizza is good if I am getting pineapple on a pizza I want to to be a pineapple and jalapeno pizza.
@yakkoTDI Now that sounds interesting.
I’ll have to give it a try…
I treasure the loathing of those who hate Hawaiian pizza. More of the pizza for me!
Pineapple, pepperoni and jalapeno. Delightful.

Mayonnaise corn, anyone?
@Kyeh Looking for something in the way of amusing toppings, at first I misread and thought I saw Pepperoni & Grasshoppers!
@ELJAY Well, right now maybe cicadas?
I don’t know if Japanese cicadas are on the same 17-year cycle…
