April 20 -- Galactic Goat away, substitute goating commences
9Sooo… how did 4/20 become weed day? Quickly reading up on the topic, it seems it was code when I was itsy bitsy for the time of the day when teenagers met to get high.
So Happy 4/20… do you think the laws have kept up with the changes in the legality of marijuana use? I was reading our h/r policies the other day, and if you drive a company vehicle, you can be randomly drug tested. Failure is grounds for dismissal.
However, if marijuana use were legal, how could it be grounds for dismissal? We have medical marijuana use legal in CT. What if a truck driver needs it for medicinal reasons? I totally get the importance of not driving under the influence, but how does legalization impact that?
We all know I am a lightweight when it comes to any recreational substance, so perhaps I just don’t understand. I think it is worth a discussion… so have at it.

Snopes debunks the ‘Code 420’ myth, and provides some background. http://www.snopes.com/language/stories/420.asp

Hey, man. You’re looking pretty cool today. Bring anything?
Here, have some of this stuff.
Your question, it’s heavy, man. Lemme put another record on.
Hey, you wanna try some of this other shit? It will get us to the answers. Or to beyond the answers.
Yeah, lets start this.
@f00l Please send back the real F001…
@mikibell
The real @f00l is kinda wasted right now …
@mikibell It may be legal under your state law, but it’s still illegal under federal law. This creates a bit of a problem. Of course, I know nothing about any of this. Nothing.
Now I have to go and mow my
grassyard.@Barney me neither… that is why I asked… seems to be concerning, not that I do anything with grass… mow or smoke!
@mikibell You are very lucky when it comes to the mowing part.
@Barney minions!

Inspired by this: https://meh.com/forum/topics/going-for-the-win-in-silicon-valley, let’s play Two Truths and a Lie on things from the article.
It was called “the iPhone of Juicers”.
At least one investor said they would’ve never met with Juicero if they knew the juice bags could be squeezed by hand.
Juicero debuted at $700, and soon had a price cut to $400.
Cannonball C’mon
Galactic Goat, reporting from a tree limb on top of a hill about 1/2 mile from the house (no, really! the only signal back to civilization).
Here’s this on that: Galactic Goat does not condone the recreational use of the mary jane cigarettes, because, as @Barney mentions, it’s not legal. And the Goat is a law abiding goat.
Now if it WAS legal, the Goat would have no problem at all with it’s use, recreational or otherwise.
As far as @mikibell’s ponderance:
Galactic Goat suggests alcohol use is legal, but driving under it’s influence remains illegal. Or just as a heavy equipment operator wouldn’t be permitted to operate his crane under the influence of Percocet prescribed to provide relief for a back problem.
PS: Love the smokin’ goat img!
PSS: Starting to rain now, so I’d better climb down outta this tree before I slip and fall and break my goatee!
PSSS: I’m so grateful for all the kind thoughts and messages and prayers. Thank you all so much! I wish I could reply to each one right now.
Legal and compliant with company policies aren’t necessarily the same thing. Alcohol is legal, but if you test positive for it at work you can be dismissed. Granted, it passes through your system faster.
