@JasonKim I am just going to read that as "no one cares because HDMI is a terrible interface for a monitor but if you INSIST on using it you would buy a $2 HDMI to DVI adapter"
@lowlypeon Why would I buy a brand new monitor then immediately have to purchase an adapter (no matter what the cost) to be able to use it. (plus I've finally gotten used to my mix and match 3 monitor setup)
@2many2no face-palm. its selling point is IPS. you will not get a fake gray-to-gray 2ms on a IPS. And HDMI should NOT be used on monitors. if you really want to though spend 1.99 on an adapter
Got the AOC 23 inch a few months ago refurbished and I've got to say I'm very happy. My only complaint is the stand is kind of wobbly but this stand looks more sturdy. No HDMI cable really shouldnt be a big deal since the only real advantage to HDMI is you also get sound.
HDMI to DVI adapter is about two bucks at eBay or Newegg. So not having HDMI... not really a big deal. The 22 inch size... that's just too small. No sense in "upgrading" my 24" for IPS.
Probably a coincidence, but thanks for seeing my wish list post and relisting a monitor. I needed this for the Kano PC computer she's getting. My daughter will either hate Christmas, or love it.
I clicked meh before I came in to work in a personal capacity. This morning one of my co-workers said he was getting a computer out of mothballs and needed a monitor. This afternoon I was instructed to buy a new (used) computer and a monitor. So after clicking meh, I'm in for two. What a glorious day!
@JerseyFrank I have different models of AOC monitors. On my monitors the image goes to the bezel with a 1080P digital source. If I use the VGA input, I sometimes have to mess with the controls on the monitor to shift the picture so it goes bezel to bezel.

No hdmi...
The lack of HDMI is disappointing. Plus, Glen ruined that IPS logo... Glen!!!
Quit playin games with my heart, meh. Is speaker dock friday a thing or just a way to toy with my emotions.
@studerc
@studerc It is slow seller Friday, so the Meh staff can celebrate the holiday. Note, every Friday counts as a holiday.
Arrrg I know I hit meh yesterday but it didn't take.
And Monnator meh.
@Outofmymind heh. welcome to the club
What is your policy on dead pixels?
@Fej Probably Meh
@Fej Dead pixels guaranteed!
@Fej They're dead, Jim.
It's Friday and no speaker docks. Thank you for doing such a horribly great job on your last day as goat, @thumperchick!
@narfcake I wanted to let you all down in a special way, for my last day!
Close but no banana.. I'm still lookin' for that 32" boob tube for xmas.. Got three of these things already, four is not a charm.
@unkabob Meh too! Needs meh one for meh mehther in law.
@brianmc1975 .. Mehby they'll surprise us as we still have a few more weeks before the fat man drops down meh chimney.
@unkabob Oh meh god!
Why would the lack of hdmi bother anyone?
@lowlypeon Cause you can't plug in gaming consoles and modern laptops?
@JasonKim I am just going to read that as "no one cares because HDMI is a terrible interface for a monitor but if you INSIST on using it you would buy a $2 HDMI to DVI adapter"
@JasonKim ause you can't plug in modern anything? FTFY
@lowlypeon Because people are "silly" and don't know that they can just use an adapter.
@Fen_Star Adapters are meh.
@lowlypeon Why would I buy a brand new monitor then immediately have to purchase an adapter (no matter what the cost) to be able to use it. (plus I've finally gotten used to my mix and match 3 monitor setup)
My laptop doesn't even have DVI and VGA :(
@JasonKim lol even my chromebook has vga
That's the strangest looking speaker dock I've ever seen. I could swear it looks like a monitor.
@heartny nice shot there, dude.
@heartny It's @thumperchick's fault
OK, no matter what you think about the monitor (no HDMI, no 2msec refresh), the write-up is Xcellent!
@2many2no face-palm. its selling point is IPS. you will not get a fake gray-to-gray 2ms on a IPS. And HDMI should NOT be used on monitors. if you really want to though spend 1.99 on an adapter
@unksol I know, but the write-up is still cool. Besides, my 22" monitor hasn't died yet.
Got the AOC 23 inch a few months ago refurbished and I've got to say I'm very happy. My only complaint is the stand is kind of wobbly but this stand looks more sturdy. No HDMI cable really shouldnt be a big deal since the only real advantage to HDMI is you also get sound.
@Thebluepill Many DVIs can transmit sound.
It's Halloween and there aren't any pumpkin spice offerings? You should all be ashamed.
HDMI to DVI adapter is about two bucks at eBay or Newegg. So not having HDMI... not really a big deal. The 22 inch size... that's just too small. No sense in "upgrading" my 24" for IPS.
Curse you @Thumperchick! You robbed everyone of Spooky Dock Friday!
@Thumperchick You cursed yourself? I'm going to blame @studerc for that, just because...
@Cinoclav I deserved that.
Actually Meh, my current monitor is larger, and has a 2 ms refresh rate. I will admit that the color reproduction and viewing angles suck though. =(
I'll buy a new monitor when gsync becomes a real deal, and not a $600 boondoggle.
"No HDMI" jokes are relevant??? Never thought it would happen; I'm scared...
I was really hoping for the IRK mug today, what a tease.. Meh.
How is the light bleed on these refurb panel? Instinct says bad.
I had to double check the calendar.
Size DOES matter.......monitor size matters too!, lol
Probably a coincidence, but thanks for seeing my wish list post and relisting a monitor. I needed this for the Kano PC computer she's getting. My daughter will either hate Christmas, or love it.
@JerseyFrank The girl in that video digs a hole and drops the computer in about half way through...
Those of you complaining about no HDMI... have you never heard of an adapter? They're literally like $2.
@TBoneZeOriginal Um, yeah... they've now heard of them about a bajillion times in this thread.
@Cinoclav And yet, most people commenting still aren't getting the point.
@TBoneZeOriginal. Plus $5 shipping.
@TBoneZeOriginal Its cause adapters are so, MEH!
I bought the 23 inch when it was on sale a short while ago and love it! It makes a great second monitor.
I love how manufacturers use the world "refurbished" when they really mean "returned by customers who didn't like the product for some reason".
"Refurbished" really means "wiped clean and repackaged with silica gel".
@larry That's the best kind of "refurbished"
Good thing it doesn't have HDMI - I don't mind getting shocked myself, but certainly don't want my precious connected tech goodies getting shocked!
I bought one. Then I bought another. Now I'm contemplating buying a third.
Once again I am left wondering whether the 16 million colors this device can display include purple and Georgia red.
@khunjeff I love purple.
@hollboll Barney??
@hallmike Uh.. um. I. Uh. Just wanted to beat @barney to it?
@hollboll I know @Barney, and you, sir, are NOT @Barney.
@khunjeff O.o
Sir? Was there a trip to Sweden involved?
@nadroj I hope not.
I love purple.
The real Barney has spoken!
It's a Halloween miracle.
@SSteve Glorious!
-sigh- In for two...
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
@I love purple.
@jrwofuga YES
@Barney I am I
@i I love purple.
@khunjeff no.
Does the image not extend all the way to the bezel or is it just a source problem?
@JerseyFrank I have different models of AOC monitors. On my monitors the image goes to the bezel with a 1080P digital source. If I use the VGA input, I sometimes have to mess with the controls on the monitor to shift the picture so it goes bezel to bezel.
