Anticipated Movies
8I’m sitting here, hardly able to contain myself today as I wait to see Endgame.
I was a comic book kid. Every extra dollar I had went to comic books. The MCU movies hit at the perfect time for me and this journey has been incredible. As such, I think that this has been the most excruciating wait for me for a movie.
Force Awakens was pretty exciting as well, but I think this one takes the cake for me.
It got us wondering.
What’s your most anticipated movie ever? Which movie gave you the hardest time waiting for it to premiere?

I have to wait until Sunday for Endgame.
I think all of the HP films were a pretty big deal for me.
I’m really excited about Detective Pikachu.
:cough: @ChadP Graphic Novels thank you very much!
End game + John wick!!
I’m not really a movie person but it was “A Dog’s Purpose”. It came out at an especially tough time for me 2017 but I. Needed. To. See. It .
Like now. I need to see “A Dog’s Journey”. Just can’t talk about it yet.
I remember being super excited to see Titanic. And enjoying it as much as I’d hoped.
@moonhat I had a job with weekend call when that came out. They paged me on a Saturday to come in just when the ship hit the iceberg. I was not happy.
I have no idea what’s playing or whats coming to the theater other than Endgame right now. I don’t watch reg tv so I don’t see commercials but, having kept up with all the Marvel movies, I do want to see Endgame.
I think 2 movies I can recall having great anticipation and I don’t know which was more as it was different anticipation for each when they came out. Dances With Wolves and The Passion.
I’m sure when I was a kid there were others but I don’t recall getting excited waiting for one. Maybe Jaws. Maybe Help.
End Game. It’s the culmination of 10 years of being invested into a story and characters that I have enjoyed since I was reading comics and even these cards
This end comes at a good time when I’m a little tired of hero movies, but I’ve also got enough in me to get excited one last time and for the end.
I’m glad there is a small break coming.
South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut generated a lot of buzz. I remember the theater had a police officer checking IDs for South Park, but not for another movie that featured a good amount of nudity. The creators expertly predicted the reaction to the movie as the characters in the film had to sneak into an R-rated movie which was later blamed for the children acting-out. What was happening on screen was paralleled by the real-life response to the movie and that irony was not lost on me.
South Park didn’t disappoint. Not only was it raunchy and hilarious, it also hit the nail on the head with quite a few themes. Such as violence is apparently ok for TV, but not potty mouth humor. (censorship) It also illustrates how some people are willing to go to literal war before admitting they’re partially at fault. Great original soundtrack too.
@ThomasF Dude, spoilers!!!
