Does Meh have a real actual literal button or Chrome extension or something? I don’t see one on the home page or in the FAQ. Maybe I’m dumb at pattern recognition, reading comprehension or something. DAMIFINO. Dev(s)? Anyone?
@shawn That’s a cool hack: an actual physical hack instead of a virtual one. But I believe Amazon stopped the whole Dash button selling thing recently. You can’t get them anymore. They moved on to Echo/Alexa. Maybe I can find one on eBay at a reasonable cost. If not, it’s not worth it, especially with all the effort on top of it. People at Meh should just make a Chrome/other browsers extension button.
@Artista@shawn So let me get this straight–you want a browser extension so you click the meh button instead of clicking the meh button on the front page?
@Artista@shawn Alexa skill probably wouldn’t work for clicking the button, as it would require your username and plain text (or poorly encrypted) password to be stored in a database. Well, it would work, but it would be a bad idea.
Ok, folks, I see it, clicked it and… a little icon of the item comes up. It does absolutely nothing else. Anyone care to explain? Discuss amongst yourselves. I’m done, don’t care.
@Artista Are you sure it did nothing? How did clicking it make you feel? Satisfaction? Delight? Nothingness? Regret? The secret to the meh button is how it clicks inside you.
@Artista it doesn’t do exactly absolutely nothing else. It puts a bean in a box for mediocrebot to count and say how many people clicked meh. And it makes a mark on a secret calendar which will reveal itself if you get seven of these marks in a row.
But yeah, other than that, you pretty much got the full experience.
I do like your idea of a meh button chrome extension. Just so you could meh things everywhere out on the intertubes. If only all the pages got a little box for their beans and counted them out on their site.
If you have one of those Staples “That was easy” buttons, you can 3D print your own meh insert.

I hacked one together years ago https://meh.com/forum/topics/i-hacked-the-amazon-dash-button-to-click-meh-at-meh-com-instead-of-ordering-tide

@shawn …or an Alexa skill

@shawn …IFTTT
@shawn @therealjrn Where is the button? I don’t see it. Maybe my ad blocker is the cause. I’ll turn it off and see if that does the trick
@Artista There is a third-party meh Alexa skill already.
Something tells me your not big on research…
@Artista @shawn And turn down your radio.
@therealjrn With over 25k skills
(last I checked) who the heck has the time! And why oh why isn’t in the FAQ?
@Artista It’s a third party skill not endorsed or sanctioned by the Mediocre Corporation. Have you turned down your radio yet?
@Artista @therealjrn
Click this on the front page:
@Artista @Thumperchick HOLY HECK!!! WHEN DID THEY PUT THAT THERE!!!

@Artista pre-made applet, or made your own?
@Artista @shawn How much are they going for? I have a drawer full. AM I RICH?

@Artista In other words, the button did its job.
@Artista it doesn’t do exactly absolutely nothing else. It puts a bean in a box for mediocrebot to count and say how many people clicked meh. And it makes a mark on a secret calendar which will reveal itself if you get seven of these marks in a row.
