A question for all you experienced meh and womeh...
1I was lucky enough to buy one of those Dyson vaccums a few weeks back, but it arrived missing a part. I'm unaware of Meh's policies regarding the recovery of a missing part.
Do I file a missing parts claim? Contact the manufacturer? Cry and take my loss..?
If anyone knows the answer to this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
(I already reached out to Meh's customer support but I understand that they are inundated with requests right now and may not get back to me. So perhaps one of the more experienced mehers might know and could shed some light on the matter?)

I'm sure meh will make it right. But it's the weekend, and Monday is a holiday, and they have been swamped in customer service lately(which I see you already know), but eventually they will get back to you and probably find your missing part lying around the warehouse somewhere.
Edit: Also, after looking at the product page I saw "DC41 Frankenstein Accessories shipped in separate box and may deliver on different date". So if that is the one you have more parts might still be on the way to you.
@metaphore @chellymonkey thanks for the replies. I bought the DC41 animal, so what arrived in the box the first go around should be it (aka no extra attachments on the way). I probably should just hold onto my horses. Amazon and other large companies have spoiled me with their quick shipments and 24/7 customer service :p
Chelleymonkey's suggested idea of reaching out to Dyson and seeing what they can do might be a good direction to go down. Thanks again for the replies :)
I saw in the thread that people were able to get parts replaced that came broken by calling Dyson as well. They say it was relatively painless to get Dyson to help.
Dyson will probably send you the part. Meh will probably send you some type of hand drawn instructions on how to make the part yourself. You choose.
@phatmass Cooler option would be to send a 3D printer to make your own.
@Mavyn I second this
What part is missing? We did not get the full F.Stein model, but the middle one. The animal brush came ~ 1 week later.
@G1 A cap. To be specific, the cap attached to the handle that slides over the wand:(, ).
This is what our handle looks like: (, ).
And in case you were also wondering, this is what 18th century, German-born, British Baroque composer Handel looks like: (, ) [my phone appears to be keen on him as it auto-corrected handle to handel, Every. Single. Damn. Time...]
Albeit small, the cap helps provide extra suction by closing the air loop (and also prevents it from sucking up my pants and shirt while vaccuming).
@imwright I am a classicist in music, literature, architecture, teaching load--most everything except for modern bathrooms. If your phone, too, is a classicist, I might be keen on trading you for it. Perhaps if I can locate the Handel-piece you need, we could make a deal?
@imwright I do not think Handel will make you a handle. But I am sure you will be able to handle it.
Pretty sure these were sold via third party, so meh won't have any parts laying around the warehouse. But, definitely contact Dyson while you're waiting for meh to get back to you.
@jsh139 In the product spec, the first 6-month warranty is by Dyson, so I'm guessing that if it wasn't Dyson themselves, whomever did the refurbishing is authorized to do it on Dyson's behalf and that they'll stand by their work.
