@lkblaser@matapat, still the stats say, ‘Best By January 2021’ & the kicker is,…the latest delivery date is 12•21•2020, so you have about 10 fn days before they are, ‘Not Exactly Best After January 2021’! Here’s hoping you got’um on time sos you won’t be fukn eatin stale stroops next year!! Of course, you could just make sure you aren’t LOL {Low On Liquor}!!
@ponagathos, yeah, you can buy the ‘Heat & Eat’ [different kinds, e.g. Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal/Raisins, Snickerdoodles, etc] which are about $3 each, so $24÷3=8, and there are approximately 12 in a pkg, so12×8=96. WOW, Who Fukn Knew!! 96 {assorted cookies for $24!! How about that, AND They Are Fresh!!
@decoratedwarvet I usually make them from scratch this time of year. $24 of ingredients will make hundreds of cookies.
I do get the heat and eat ones sometimes too. I have a discount grocery near me that often has packs for a dollar or two that are close to their expiration date.
Either way, I usually keep some in the freezer and pop a couple in the toaster oven whenever we want some fresh cookies.
@ponagathos, Please, don’t gets me wrong, I do like those tasty Stroopwafels, but you can’t knock making countless cookies from scratch, and they’re much better than imminently expiring stroops!! Plus, ya don’t gotta hope ya don’t get uncontrollable diarrhea! LOL!! BTW, I still have 60 fn wafles left from da last expired batch!
Are these bigger in diameter, thicker, or both? Most of my household’s mugs were too big to support the tiny stroopwafels… wondering if these are better.
@dave Most of my family’s mugs have 8-8.5 cm i.d., with a range of 6-9. The jumbo stroopwafels may be big enough. This may call for a box & whiskers plot and a decision matrix.
[If I ever bought tiny cups to go along with the cool KitchenAid Nespresso I received in an IRK, the issue would be moot, too. Unless I can score bigger cabinets, that’s unlikely to happen.]
You’re doing this all wrong meh, you should have started selling the January expiration HUGE ones earlier, then sold the normal ones with February expiration later. You probably could have even maintained similar prices while giving folks less cookie for the buck as time went on!
…And then, once you got everyone hooked on these things, dropped the poopwafels as an April fools joke
@caffeineguy Yeah, meh, sat on these ones on purpose so they could take up space in their warehouse so they could screw you over by selling the later expiring ones first.
Bought the regular sized ones last time. Are they supposed to be somewhat chewy, not crisp by any means? We all thought they were stale, but if that is the way they are supposed to be, then meh.
@deadramones never mind, found the answer: “Yes, you can freeze Stroopwafels. The shelf life of our Stroopwafels is max. 9 months. With storing them in the freezer you can extend their shelf life for a few months. Pop them in the microwave for a minute before enjoying them.” Stroop Wafels FAQ
I’m still eating the last batch. But if you have a Swiss army to feed (presumably with really cool pocket knives and an emotional commitment to neutrality in all conflicts), then this is the deal for you. For me…meh.
Just had one with breakfast this morning. As much as I like these, my use tapered off as time went on.
At 120 calories, eating one regular one a day would cause you to gain roughly 12 lbs in a year.
At 170 calories, eating one jumbo one a day would cause you to gain roughly 17 lbs in a year.
Those are round figures.
I was lucky enough to get an IRK, and they spoiled me by shipping them the next day the last two times. I wonder if the newest IRKs haven’t shipped waiting to see the results of this sale.
NOT WORTH THE PRICE IF THEY EXPIRE JAN 2021. YOU GUYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES FOR PEDDLING FOOD THAT IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE. OFFER A CONSIDERABLE DISCOUNT THAN THE CURRENT UNATTRACTIVE PRICE TO INCENTIVIZE PURCHASING THIS TASTY TREAT!
The date may say next month, but these don’t go bad. At least not within two years. I eat these on long training runs and discover really old ones in a pocket or bag from time time. If anything, they get better.
/giphy candlelit-blissful-gratitude
@Knotquiteawake same here, a box of 24 arrived, and I got a nice little email from meh that my order has been delivered…uh…only a quarter of my order has been delivered, so at this rate it ends up being over $1/stroop. Haven’t contacted support yet though, wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue.
@Stormchaser@prospertex01@Raptor_007 Support emailed me back and they are sending a replacement order… so I guess i’ll end up with 120 stroopwafles that expire Jan 5th? lol. Going to be gifting a LOT of wafles this year. Or… they’re going to send another 24 pack again and i’ll have to repeat this process two more times to get them all.
@Cassie23@prospertex01@Raptor_007@Stormchaser I got a shipping notification earlier this afternoon… then two more shipping notifications as well.
So i took a look at my orders and I’ve now got my initial order which now says 1 pack of 24.
Then another order that says 1 pack of 24.
And another order that says 1 pack of 72.
And ANOTHER order that says 1 pack of 72.
If these are not a mistake then i’m on track to now get 192 stroopwafles?
@Cassie23@Knotquiteawake@prospertex01@Raptor_007 yeah now I got an email saying my order has been placed for a 72 pack for 0 dollars, even though support said they were giving me a refund?? Idk what’s going on now…
@Knotquiteawake… : Same here; mine’s coming in 2 orders-- 1 of 24 and 1 of 72. My sympathies to Meh-- ouch! that had to hurt; 2 shipments to fill the original order of 96. I really appreciate Meh figuring it out and fixing it quickly.
@Knotquiteawake I got two shipping notices. When I rechecked I realized the first one was for a 24 pack, the second for a 72 pack under a different order ID and $0 price. Confused? You won’t be after you watch this episode of SOAP!

I thought Meh was testing the speed of their 3rd Party shippers! FedEx and Pitney Bowers will both be handing-off an order to USPS for final Delivery. Yes folks, all around the country Meh has pitted them neck-to-neck against each other! Listen 24/7 on SirusXM as The Shipping Pro’s race results are reported Live-Time by retired sportscasters… Geeze I sure guessed way off base!
I’d have to say I’m more upset about the 1/5/21 expiration date than the missing waffles. This order was mostly for one person who loves stroop waffles. He would make himself sick consuming the 72 waffles that I planned to gift him in 11 days! 🧇 🧇 🧇 🧇 🧇 🧇 🧇
It’s not like these things turn to poison on January 6th, people. Best-by dates and sell-by dates are there to make sure you receive a product at the height of its quality. You guys probably all pour out gallons of milk at 11:59 the night before the sell-by date. Jeez. You will have time to eat these. They are just running out of time to sell them.
@djslack Thanks for the link to more info! On my phone, first login, I was confused. Found it all quicker than I thought moments after I posted.
And thank you for the welcome, @chienfou
The tracking for the second part of the order (meant to fix the issues with the first part of the order, which contained only a fourth of the total amount of product) seems buggy. I’m told by Meh that the product has reached New Jersey three days ago, but no further information. Meanwhile, when I check the tracking number at USPS, it says that it left Texas FIVE days ago, and they have no idea where it is after that point in time. Is there any way to get more accurate info as to what is going on with this waffling situation?
With the exception of infant formula, the laws that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) administers do not preclude the sale of food that is past the expiration date indicated on the label. FDA does not require food firms to place “expired by”, “use by” or “best before” dates on food products. This information is entirely at the discretion of the manufacturer.
On Dec 12th, there is a scan indicating that my package was being transferred to PITNEY BOWES. There was one more scan after that (also on Dec 12th) saying “Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item”, but nothing after that. I’m starting to wonder if maybe the label was generated for USPS, but there is no package to transfer?
@bruhaha Still no updates on mine. Sure, there is a new tracking entry, but it’s bogus. It still says “USPS Awaiting Item”. MEH, is there really a package?
@bruhaha@sm85 There likely is one, but PB can’t be trusted to get it to you on time or at all. Here’s the taking on my lost IRK. Note how PB says they gave USPS the same package twice.
The folks at the PB facility in Bloomington are likely having a great holiday party enjoying the 72-pack of Stroopwafels they’ve been sitting on for the past week!
Did anybody else see that Trader Joe’s has been carrying Stroopwafels jar mix for cookie bars? I’m pretty sure it was a holiday thing but I just saw it at mine a couple weeks ago. I bought some for my secret Santa and for myself. I’ll have to make it soon and post a photo of it.
Here we are a month later, and still waiting on the 72-pack partial order to arrive. USPS says they don’t have it yet, Pitney Bowes says it left their facility on December 24. I know Meh has no control over this, but WTF?

@Raptor_007 Automatic like for Alexa Bliss.
Holy cow this is still the same best by January 2021 batch? How many of these did y’all buy?
@matapat No, these are JUMBO.
@lkblaser @matapat, still the stats say, ‘Best By January 2021’ & the kicker is,…the latest delivery date is 12•21•2020, so you have about 10 fn days before they are, ‘Not Exactly Best After January 2021’! " lot of people like to place them overtop a cup of coffee before eating them" What about hot tea?
Is it actually possible to eat all of these before January 30 without getting sick?
And the most important question of all:
Are they better than candy corn?
No painful poop wafels?
@bmartinez1384, that’s what happens if you eat’um after the ‘Best By’ date!! Customer Beware!!
These are slightly larger than the usual stroops?? Were these originally intended for business class or something?
Yay! Bigger stroops means I could use a bigger cup without the wafer (or cookie, or whatever) falling in!
OTOH, I still have lots left from previous order(s), so will wait for next time. (Fingers crossed for next time…)
They’re only bigger because the pallets sat in the summer heat for so long, they squished a bit.

STROOP TO THE MAX!
RADICAL!
United Airlines doesn’t have enough passengers to give these away… let’s sell them here.
again.
and then again.
They are delicious at 35,000 feet, though.
I have tried them and they are definitely meh. Plus the expire in a month? No thanks?
It’s cookie baking time. For $24, I can make chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodles and cookie jar cookies that put these waffles to shame.
I’ve bought…
96 in September for $30
96 in October for $24
120 in November for $27 (Sideeal VMP)
So $81 for 312 oz. of caramel goodness ($0.26/oz)
…But none of those were JUMBO. Damn you meh.
While 132oz for $24 is a better deal ($0.18/oz), I don’t think I could get through the last 120 fast enough!
@caffeineguy
/giphy embrace the challenge
Are these bigger in diameter, thicker, or both? Most of my household’s mugs were too big to support the tiny stroopwafels… wondering if these are better.
@earmstrong, yes, these are approximately ,38 oz. Bigger!! I’m too lazy to do the math, so…!!
@earmstrong these are 1cm wider. I think that’s 9cm instead of 8cm but I’m not positive.
@dave The assessment:
It makes a difference!
Also: why the heck do we have 19 general-use mugs, excluding the fancy ones and the ones in seasonal sets??
@earmstrong I love this! Also, I am impressed that you have the cabinet space for 19 mugs. I seem to be maxed out around 10.
Sadly, discussing this inspired a slight purge at home by my wife. The dataset has changed.
@dave @earmstrong, very, very impressive, but I just nuke’um - 17 sec on one side, then 13 sec on the other = 30 ttl sec. Mmmmm, Gooood!!
My wife would kill me if I bought more of these! I still haven’t finished eating the first box I bought and there is another box waiting to be opened!

Bought the regular sized ones last time. Are they supposed to be somewhat chewy, not crisp by any means? We all thought they were stale, but if that is the way they are supposed to be, then meh.
@Jonas4321 yes, kinda soft / gooey is how they are.
@Jonas4321 Correct. As the actual description states, they are a chewy cookie. And delicious.

@ryjak8 Still waiting… 1/5 stars on this job. Does not fill me with confidence about future orders.
@ryjak8 What’s the legality on being given a product you’ve purchased after its expiration date? Anyone know?
@ryjak8 since there is no federal law about expiration dates on food, I’d say it’s perfectly legal.
I would also work with support instead of making veiled threats of legal action over an order of stroopwafels, but that’s just me.
