@medz I bought them last time and you are exactly right. It doesn’t make sense, they ride up worse than longer briefs I have. I still wear them, they’re good for the price here, but this claim is BS.
@mehcuda67 Why is this such a common thing lately? All three guys in my house hate the no-fly style so it’s weird to me that it’s such a popular choice.
@SnDMommy
Not sure about your guys in particular but my boxers tend to rise just above my belt line. This means if I’m at a urinal, I have to unzip and unbutton my pants to “whip it out” while holding my pants up with my unused hand. In the house it’s not a big deal, but when out and about I’ll take a fly every single day of the week.
@SnDMommy@theonlybuster Same here. I got fooled once with some Puma boxer briefs I got a great deal on from a warehouse club. Hardly a deal since I donated all of them after realizing the error of my ways. (Probably should have returned them, but I felt some apprehension over saying, “Yes, I’d like to return these because I – apparently – don’t know how to read.”) Never again, unless I’m in 100% sweatpants mode in a memory-care facility one day and then I imagine others will be making those decisions for me anyway…
This here female ain’t gonna compliment anybody on these, especially you, Meh. No matter what Underwear Expert said or how much they purportedly cost per pair. Per pair, indeed.
I got these the last time they were listed as a 15-pack. This deal is actually a little cheaper-per-undie.
I really like them. They’re clearly much more thoughtfully designed than my Hanes, CK or Puma. The patterns and solid colors have certain interesting effects like fading and shimmer that gives a premium look. They are also very comfortable.
@bmajazz This deal is ~10% more expensive per pair, no? I thought it was $60 for 15 in August or $4/pair and this deal is $40 for 9 or $4.44(444444)/pair.
@psantora Yes, you’re right! It was late, I was tired, and clearly I didn’t have my superman undies on (or calculator nearby). That said, it’s still a good price imho.
@katfude said “On the pro side, it does make your junk look huge.”
Well if that’s the case this guy here has a whole lot more to be self conscious and insecure about than his belly! Jus sayen! Lol
Got these last time. Quality, but there’s reasons they’re on Meh. No opening to whip the lil gent out for a quick potty. Gotta pull the band down to tinkle.
They still ride up on you even though they’re shorter. I have to pick these out more often than other undies. The waistband likes to flop over a lot if you got any kinda gut.
On the pro side, it does make your junk look huge. The designs are cool and the fabric is comfy.
@katfude ineloquent
So eloquently put! Especially for a guy! And super especially for a guy who hangs out in the meh forums!
(Said by me in the most ineloquent way!)
Lol
I got these the last time they were up. Soft, comfortable, feel like a bit of quality, and I like the style. Some are a little longer than others.
In for some more
@caffeineguy I have never hand washed or air dried them.
I do wash them on cold though. I wash all my clothes on cold unless I have a specific reason not to.
They (and my other brands of bamboo undies) go in the regular wash, and regular drier. Never had them shrink or seen any I’ll effect. They do run small though so need sizing up.
Al of my undies (briefs) have a fly, but I have never used it- is there something wrong with me? It just seems way more complicated than necessary, and a pull-down is so easy.
BTW, I have 28 pairs of Land’s End briefs, pretty expensive (about 2X the cost of these), but most have lasted 10+ years, are still in great shape and comfortable as hell. Unfortunately, LE clothing has taken a nose-dive in quality, so I’ll likely be buried in one of the current pairs…
no fly was also what got my SO to say a hard no; he’s in the market for new stuff but apparently not these. It prompted the following conversation. Someone else said they’re ineloquent, and so am I:
“Honey, they’re ripped and you’ve had them for 15 years now. we were in the apartment. You deserve nice things including the cloth covering your ass.”
“I want two 6-packs of plaid boxers like always.”
“I haven’t been with you for more than one round of boxers. I joined the home right after you replaced the boxers.”
“Two identical packs from Walmart. MAYBEE Target.”
Target it is, because it’s closer the Walmart parking lot is too small, relies on a lot o no-light 4-ways with left turns.
@dave If you cop these, size way up. Mine are tight as hell and I might need to toss them in the trash. I’m usually comfortable in a Medium but these fit like a Small. My poor twig and berries can barely breath in them.
These comments are highly edifying (not sarcasm!). Last time these boxers were here, I bought them in size small for my 17-year-old. They were a hit. Then my 20-year-old tried on a pair and said they were comfy but too small for him. So this time I’ll buy them in medium for him… but I guess first I’ll have to ask whether the lack of fly is an issue. Parenting sure takes you in some weird directions sometimes.
From prior-existence-mode experience, I will state that whether a fly has utility in a given brief design is entirely user-determined. And for some, the answer becomes “no” often enough that adaptive procedures render its presence irrelevant.
YMMV. Do what works for you, and let the next person do what works for them.
@macromeh The number of people out there eager to scream “NO! You’re doing it WRONG!” about any given thing is always nonzero. I say they need better meds.

“A little shorter than other boxer briefs to prevent riding up”
/giphy that-makes-no-sense

I mean… I guess they can’t ride up if they are already too high up
@medz Shorter equals having to reach farther up your ass crack to pull them back down.
@medz I bought them last time and you are exactly right. It doesn’t make sense, they ride up worse than longer briefs I have. I still wear them, they’re good for the price here, but this claim is BS.
9 days? That’s a whole month’s worth!

@lilpaox huh not what I expected.
@lilpaox but its the GIF we need. Hail to the King, baby!
Shooting these down because
They’re in the no-fly zone.

@mehcuda67 @SnDMommy you think this is where popular stuff is sold?
@airjer Was speaking in general terms, not about Meh
What if I don’t get a per diem, you snake?

Is that a banana in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
@bmajazz @Lynnerizer @medz No, it’s a cucumber wrapped in tin foil… And goes all the way up to eleven!
@bmajazz This deal is ~10% more expensive per pair, no? I thought it was $60 for 15 in August or $4/pair and this deal is $40 for 9 or $4.44(444444)/pair.
Did I get some kind of discount on the 15 pack?
@psantora Yes, you’re right! It was late, I was tired, and clearly I didn’t have my superman undies on (or calculator nearby). That said, it’s still a good price imho.
Will I get the chest muscles and tight butt when I wear these too? If so, in for your entire stock.
@hchavers I don’t want to be self conscious about my belly, though.

At least the homepage is purple. It has that going for it, more-so than the T-shirts.
none for us fattys?
@Yoda_Daenerys It makes me sad.

I’ll makes this brief, the price and those knickers are too damn high!
@Helmet0987 Jimmy? Is that you?

No experience with these but the Comfort Republic briefs on Slickdeals are excellent.
@OnionSoup My wife would probably balk at the hand wash / air dry only for the SD offering
@caffeineguy I have never hand washed or air dried them.

I was about to buy until I read there was no fly.
The fly is very important for urinal use.
@MrNews not just you, I’m confused by all the dudes who are like “unbuttoning my pants is hard!”
no fly was also what got my SO to say a hard no; he’s in the market for new stuff but apparently not these. It prompted the following conversation. Someone else said they’re ineloquent, and so am I:

Everybody now:
There was an old lady who swallowed a fly…
What? Modal fabric is made of pulped Beech trees? I guess I’ll be telling the truth when I say, “hey, check this out. I got wood.”

The model in the photos has the weirdest nipples I have ever seen.
@brennyn I bet you can find weirder nipples if you Google “weird nipple pics”.

@werehatrack “From prior-existence-mode experience…” Hey friend
Sizing chart isn’t accurate. My pants size is well within the XL range but these briefs are too small.
@Octopode Time to have a chat with meh.com/support
These are very nice and I plan to purchase more !
@midwoof Wish we had more – we only have Medium & Small left and I’d definitely purchase more as well if I could!
