I actually bought a set of them off of Amazon when I moved back to socal. All three of them together won’t hold my garage door. I’m sorry guys but don’t buy them
Back in my day, one had to become a servant of the secret fire and wielder of flame of anor to keep our doors from closing on their own.
Everyone just uses doorstoppers. They don’t understand how spoiled they are.
These work great on the swinging doors that do not stay open any longer in my 90 year old house. One day I will fix that issue but until then these are the bomb!
@Bloodshedder@tommytoad0 At first I thought “wait, is that a thing?” (dildos, not doorstops, though both have been around for thousands of years…).
And, then, first of all, 'cause, Internet.
I don’t have a 3D printer yet but my friend does. He’s made some cool stuff but not that, as far as I know. I’m not sure I’m comfortable asking him about this topic but if his wife seems to be happy maybe I should?
@Bloodshedder@pmarin@tommytoad0 I think both would benefit in performance by being made of conventional materials. That is, unless you have a silicon 3d printer.
I guess my house has oddball doors and floors; my S.O. bought some elsewhere a while back, and we’ve had poor results anywhere that we tried to use them. (It was always on hard floors.) Your experience may vary.
Honestly came to back to this site after last night when it was like “what?” and then to the usual sidebar forums which are weird and human and probably troubling in many ways. But anyway back here on main page next afternoon this is really a thing? I figured it was going to swap into an IRK or something after a few hours. But yeah, “you GO Doorstop!”

I thought Irk was onto something in yesterday’s email…
I don’t even have 6 doors in my apartment!!
@IndifferentDude Do you have 3? Put one on each side. Or prop open other doors.
@IndifferentDude @mcanavino
I laughed so hard my drink came out my nose!

He went away.
@phendrick too soon.
(No, I don’t mean too young, I mean too recent. )
I use a pair of similar door stops under the back edge of my laptop for a better typing angle. It also retards slippage on shiny tables.

Only three product images. How am I supposed to make a subjective purchasing decision in these conditions?
I 3D-printed a few similar doorstops a couple months ago https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:862826
@Bloodshedder Nice! Mine is too busy printing dildos for my friends though, so I’ll just buy these!

My doors stay open all by themselves!
@tincarfin I have both kinds!
I have several of these door stops (purchased elsewhere some time back) and they work well. Recommended.
