Our Pinot Noir Rosé exhibits fresh aromas of strawberry, cherry, and light notes of rose petal. Crisp flavors of red apple and raspberry are accompanied by a refreshing yet lingering finish, with hints of fresh herbs.
The California Coast is known for its long growing season, a result of the chilled marine air from the Pacific Ocean. This maritime influence has a cooling effect, which allows the grapes to ripen more slowly and evenly. Extra hang time leads to complex wines that exhibit heightened aromatics, intense fruit flavors, and full varietal expression.
Vineyards
Pebble Lane wines come from sustainably grown vineyards that are meticulously farmed throughout the year. Our Pinot Noir Rosé is grown in northern California, where foggy mornings lasting until midday are followed by brisk afternoon winds and temperate nights. This cool climate creates ideal conditions for developing intensity and complexity in the wines while preserving crucial acidity.
Winemaking
Upon arrival to the winery, the grapes are whole-cluster pressed and fermented cold in stainless steel tanks. Minimal intervention and careful handling in the cellar ensure that Pebble Lane wines are fruit-driven and true to both variety and terroir.
Pair with crab cakes or fresh lobster.

Windswept coastlines and sunny valleys meet to form the perfect setting for our estate vineyards. From this meeting of land and sea, the wines of Pebble Lane are crafted to pair beautifully with premium steak and seafood cuisine.
The wines of Pebble Lane are created from grapes grown on our very own estate vineyards. In this unique setting, maritime fog from the Pacific Ocean sweeps through the valley nightly, cooling the vines and lengthening hang time. This extended growing season allows flavors to concentrate within the grapes, resulting in exceptional wines with layered complexity.
Our sustainable practices are as much a part of our wine as our grapes. To share our tradition of winemaking and our vineyards with the next generation and to pave the way for future innovation is at the very heart of what it means to be sustainable. Our vineyards and winery are certified sustainable by a number of third-party organizations including GLOBAL G.A.P., the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, and BRC.
@Kyeh@phendrick Pink is desaturated red, possibly with some small amount of blue. Ergo, pink roses are also red, just not exclusively so. I like to think of them as “red with some inclusive diversity”. And many roses reflect strongly in the vicinity of 630-660nm, which is very red indeed. Besides, the original composer of the verse was clearly speaking of that kind of rose, not the pink ones. Yes, they could have been a little more specific, but as otherwise already noted, poetic license. PHLBTBTBT.
(I have searched in vain for the agency which issues poetic licenses, can anyone point me at a relevant authority?)
@drlawyer
Yes, exactly. That’s why I posted my question above. Last time my order actually went through and then they canceled it an hour later. I was super bummed!
@chienfou@drlawyer Someday we will live in a more perfect nation where everyone has an equal opportunity to acquire and consume the potables of their choice without fear of automatic transmission fluid enforcers descending upon them in terrible judgement. (Unless they’re pilots. The FAA doesn’t allow them to consume alcohol.)(I wonder, is there an analog of alcohol for AIs?)
Might as well do this here as well.

As for the writeup, I will say that mastering step number five makes step number three a lot more successful. And if you need step number four to achieve five, you really haven’t achieved number five yet.
I like to take wines like this and carbonate them as I am fond of spritzy wines.
Champagne is usually a chardonnay, or a pinot noir base or mixture of the two, after all. So if you have a SodaStream, chill a bottle, pour it into a SS carbonation bottle and fizz it.
Cheap champagne, though at 13%ABV it would be a tad higher in ABV than most champagnes. Champagnes in general run around 11%ABV.
@Jackinga If you also like mimosas, you have a double-win. Personally, I find that the choice of a really good OJ is more important than the potable employed, but YMMV.
@phendrick Well sure, you’d be welcome, except that we don’t have parties anymore and haven’t had for years. OTH, I can carbonate wines a lot faster than you or anyone can drink them.
Right now, I am finishing off the last bottle of a case of excellent Pedroncelli Libatia, the Wine Witch (a Meh offering back in September 2023(, along with a few remaining bottles of a case of Vidigal Vinho Verde Portuguese Rosé (almost as good; from Casemates), and just starting on a case of Grandeur Petit Sirah Rose (Casemates). All of these wines, I purchased with the expressed idea of carbonation.
I will generally chill a few bottles at a time, then after a day of being chilled, pour them into a SodaStream carbonation bottle, give them a heavy shot of CO2, wait about 10 minutes and then cap them and put them in a small bar refrigerator for later consumption. If a partial bottle goes a bit flat, it takes just a few moments to bring the carbonation back with the SodaStream unit which I have connected to a 5-lb CO2 tank.

@yakkoTDI Fruity Pebbles?
(I’m pretty sure it would be better than that.)
No $20 casemates
There is another Rosé over here today as well

This household does not drink wine, or so my wife tells me.
This is good. Bought it last time it was on Casemates.

Rosés are red
Curaçao is blue
Meh has some > $5 / bottle
Alcohol for you.
@phendrick Rosés are PINK
@Kyeh Poetic license
@phendrick
That’s not poetry, it’s doggerel.
And “red” isn’t necessary to rhyme with anything anyway.
@Kyeh But it (mostly) rhymes, so here we consider it poetry!
Besides, my dog also has a license.(But seldom gets to drive.)

@phendrick
Rosés are pink
Malbecs are red
Don’t drink too much
Or you’ll have a sore head
@phendrick @werehatrack
We’re talking about rosés here.
@Kyeh @phendrick only because the bottles are not big enough for the light to be able to be changed to red going through enough of it.
@phendrick @werehatrack
I disagree. Look at the wine on offer today. It’s really pale.
@Kyeh @phendrick
Rosés are pink,
violets are violet,
that’s why they’re not
called blues, I think
I’ll choose which lines rhyme!
@phendrick @warpedrotors
Roses can be yellow
Violets can be pink
None of us are poets
And all our verses stink!
Who’s that passed out in the Lane?
Look! lying among the Pebbles
That’s not Jill nor Jane
Rather it’s just Rosé, yet again!
Where’s the available to ship list?
Won’t ship to NJ
@drlawyer Love spending an hour (ok 4 minutes, but still…) on research only to find it unavailable…

@drlawyer @werehatrack
Lots of pilots drink. They just can’t do it within a prescribed time before they fly as a crewmember.
Might as well do this here as well.

got this last time it was on casemates. excellent wine to sip outside on a warm summer day. nice and dry and the 13% alcohol didn’t hurt either.
previous offering with lab rat notes:

@carl669 “We definitely liked this rosé – it would be a great late summer patio sipper, paired with a cheese board.”
/showme Shakespear with a wheel of cheese, so a Cheese Bard
On his way to the Cheese Roll?

And it comes with a 90 day warranty? Challenge accepted!
Edit: Scratch that – no shippy to RI either.
No sipping, I mean shipping to VA?!?

how does a warranty on wine work
@visioneer_one Unopened bottles won’t get asplodey or salad-dressingy within the first 90 days.
@visioneer_one @werehatrack it’s the refurbished ones you have to watch out for.
Ok, I bit show me gloating temperate faucet
