ME TOO! We’ve STILL got to figure out and fix our Sleep Number bed and I’m thinking THIS will be perfect! Also have to fix our 11 month old M1 Neakasa automatic litter box which I’m pretty pissed off about. Is this tape double sided though?
@djslack@Lynnerizer@user06952544 Don’t those have a 1-year warranty? As far as the double-sided thing, you could always cut a piece of thin vinyl or plastic or something & stick it to the outside. Or, just leave the protective backing on – if it’s in a protected area of the bed, it might stay on indefinitely…?
@Lynnerizer the other tape I linked above is not double sided and meant for those types of repairs. It says temporary but a user reports using it long term; I think any tape would be intended to be temporary anyway.
@djslack@ircon96@user06952544
Yes the M1 Neakasa litter box has a one year warranty. They aren’t charging me for the part they say I need but I’m still not happy about it. I read that they knew about this problem before and didn’t disclose it. It’s saying that the pad liner is going to need to be replaced every 4 to 6 months. On ours, it started pulling away from the side and clean kitty litter is falling through down into the waste bin. I’m not going to be able to take it apart and fix it by myself and my guy won’t be able to touch or be near kitty litter after his transplant. That’s the main reason for getting a automatic box in the first place. Their customer service is super nice but we’ll see how they react when I send out my next email wanting some sort of refund or compensation. And, they just let me know yesterday that the part they’re sending me hasn’t even shipped yet because they’re having some sort of problems at the warehouse. It was supposed to be here yesterday!
@djslack and @ircon96
I’ll check out the link for the other tape but that’s a great idea to just cover one side or leave the protective wrapper on it. Thanks!
@djslack Good catch! I was just going back to check the deals one more time & came across the one-sided version that i totally forgot was offered yesterday morning! In my defense, i already have both kinds, so i guess i just wasn’t paying attention.
@Lynnerizer That sucks! With what they charge for that contraption, they should be ashamed of themselves! Sounds like a class-action lawsuit waiting to happen! Too bad you have more to worry about than a small-claims case, or you could at least get some satisfaction & a full refund to be able to put it toward a different functional brand. Hopefully they’ll be decent about it & just give you the full refund, but expecting decency from corporations these days is a fool’s errand, unfortunately. In any case, you know I’ll be sending out some good juju for you both in all your upcoming travails!
@djslack@ircon96@user06952544
Thanks ircon96, I’ll take all the good juju I can get! And yes, I’m anxious to see what they say, and you KNOW I said everything that was on my mind only because I can’t help myself.
I fell asleep before I got the tape so off to see if it’s still available.
@Kyeh sure! Our A/C died and we cannot get a new one until next week and it is 87 degrees today and trending that way for the next week. We bought a window unit for 1 bedroom but it is only a temporary thing so rather than using all the screws, we have it closed in the window and using the alien tape to keep the side panels in place to cover the full window. So far so good.
@Kyeh@Lynnerizer YES to the high humidity!! Not always, but of course now it is. All good…I keep taking the kids for car rides and crank the A/C. And we have a pool for relief, but I don’t trust myself sleeping on a raft overnight, LOL.
@cbilyak@Kyeh@Lynnerizer If you were wondering about @Kyeh, i believe it’s generally very dry there, which sucks for the fire danger. Although, it sounds pretty nice after the heinous heat & humidity we’ve been having up here in New England! Thank sweet baby Jesus the temps are starting to be a little more reasonable, at least.
@cbilyak@ircon96@Lynnerizer Exactly right - my phone says it’s 7% humidity right now, and the temperature’s 97. And everyone is on edge when it gets so hot and dry, especially if there’s wind.
@cbilyak@ircon96@Kyeh
That’s not as bad with low humidity. I never liked the humidity and now that I don’t worry about what my hair looks like I STILL can’t stand it! Lol
@cbilyak@ircon96@Kyeh
True! I don’t think my skin could be any drier than it’s been lately. And I didn’t know until recently that diabetes caused it to be even more dry!
@cbilyak@Kyeh@Lynnerizer 7%?! Ouch! Yeah, the humidity does suck really bad, but as long as there’s AC available, I’d rather just hunker down for summer hibernation, cuz the idea of dealing with wildfires terrifies me. Every time i see the videos of people driving thru walls of fire, it’s horrifying, especially if they’re trying to evacuate with their animals. And then I think of all the livestock in those areas that can’t be evacuated. Here i go, working myself up about it & i haven’t even seen footage like that in months! Lol

Morning Save has both!
You want to fix your waterbed with double-sided tape? What do you want your bed to stick to?
@soxnabox
I thought it was double sided!
Thank you, you just answered my question.
@Lynnerizer @soxnabox See above
for a couple of ideas.
I ordered some of this last time they had it. It was delivered yesterday, had reason to use it today, and I’m very happy with it so far.
@cbilyak can I ask what you did with it?
@Kyeh sure! Our A/C died and we cannot get a new one until next week and it is 87 degrees today and trending that way for the next week. @cbilyak Oh, perfect timing!

(Our forecast for tomorrow is 100 degrees
@cbilyak @Kyeh
I forget, do you have high humidity?
Yuck, that’s too hot!

It’s awful what happens to the wildlife during those fires, so sad!
I also ordered this recently and just received the package… And I forget what I need it for. Hopefully it will remind me soon!
