I got the orange-ginger on a previous deal and it’s been a part of my daily smoothie for weeks now. I do enjoy it but the orange flavor is a bit strong.
@jayman007 I find the orange flavor a little weak myself. The chocolate is pretty good though. I like thowing in some frozen berries and ice in my nutribullet. Well it is the Ninja brand, probably from Meh or Woot many years ago.
Is anybody going to just up-end an entire container into their oversized blender and make one gigantic smoothie to drink/eat in a single sitting to see if they die?
Avoid. We picked up both flavors the past time. The Choco is inedible for me. The ginger orange is ok, but I don’t look forward to drinking it… It’s more of a guilt thing. I spent money, and now I have to consume.
FWIW, I bought the chocolate last time for my wife, and she’s not a fan. I guess I’ll have to give it a try to see if I like it, otherwise, money down the drain.
I have incorporated a smoothie breakfast in my morning routine for quite some time. I’m busy feeding my pets, walking wolfie girl, cleaning out the litter boxes, taking out the trash, and getting dressed, I don’t have time to make breakfast most mornings. I’ve been using Orgain, but heard really good things about Vega, so time to switch it up! Dang, I was hoping my meh streak would get really long this time.

@Limewater I’ve never had a bad reaction to Bananas, Onions or Garlic… so… we’ll see. Inulin is used for pre-biotic stuff quite frequently, but yeah, I’ll ease into that one.
@Limewater
I have often described my reaction to canola oil as “NASA heavy lift mode”. There are so many restaurant and fast food chains where I just dare not eat…
I bought a 4 pack of the chocolate last time - I have it for breakfast every day. The taste is fairly good. I used to drink those prepackaged Premier Protein shakes, but these are cheaper, vegan, and create a lot less waste. Make sure you drink it quickly so it doesn’t separate.
@PvoorHD I have one nearly every mornin’ too – one scoop, blast of water and chug. The water pressure on my spigot is hard enough to mix it on its own if I swirl the glass while its filling. Very pleasant true-chocolate taste IMO, particularly for all the healthy ingredients its masking
I previously purchased the chocolate version and I’m almost done with my second container. I simply mix a scoop with a pint of water and chug it down in 20 seconds for breakfast while my coffee drips. The taste to me is fine (though I’m obviously not savoring it).
The one time I made it in the blender with frozen raspberries, it was quite tasty, but I’m too lazy to do that often.
Fyi products from this brand failed heavy metal tests conducted by third parties (labdoor is the one I looked at). I don’t think it’s worth the risk for me personally.
@srozak Protein powders pretty much never taste “good.” In the taste department, they’re all just competing to taste less terrible.
I have some of the All-In-One. For plant-based protein powder it’s about as good as I’ve ever had.
If you’re looking for protein powder and don’t mind whey-based protein, in my opinion the best you can do is buy unflavored whey protein isolate, mix it with milk, and add a scoop of chocolate Nesquik powder. That can actually taste pretty good.

Better than many of the other meal-mix-things, but not exactly a gourmet treat.
You cut the blue wi
@werehatrack
!!!
Chocolate, tomato and spinach. In what universe would that be a good combination?
And hemp protein… hmm… a cannabis shake disguised?

@alose @jayman007 If you mix the two flavors does it taste like those chocolate oranges they sell at Christmas?
@alose @Kyeh I only got the orange one. I add it to my fruit smoothy and chocolate would not be a good addition.
What happens when I cut the blue wire!!!

@tinamarie1974
See @werehatrack’s comment above!
@Kyeh @werehatrack well crap! Blaming the goat for my premature death via explosion. @rogerwilco this is clearly your fault!!
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974 @werehatrack

Can I drink this instead of eating food? Asking for a friend.
It’s Vitameatavegamin in a powder.
@hchavers minus the alcohol, so clearly not as fun
I’d buy more if they weren’t expiring so soon.
Henry Cavill was a good Superman undeserved by some spectacularly…meh movies.

Ugh. Is this gonna be literal?
@bjango Yes but the real question is whether it will be like that coming or going.

Dr. Mehreau: What is the law?
Sayer of the Law: Not to spill smoothie, that is the law. Are we not meh?

Them best by date tho…
@frankthehobo I have never had trouble with protein powder past the best by date. I’ve typically used whey, though.
PRICE PER SERVING: Chocolate: $0.45; Orange Ginger: $0.28 - And not soy? I’m in.
@CFL_Kent Careful. The Orange Ginger has inulin as the second ingredient.

@CFL_Kent I’ve never had a bad reaction to Bananas, Onions, or Garlic, either. But a single Fiber One bar and I’m singing Rocket Man.

OH MY… for chocolate…
76 servings … to be consumed in about 30 days to hit the ‘best by’ window. Ya better like this stuff!
NOPE…

This stuff is truly awful
. Just wasted my money because no one will drink it.
