@sammydog01 Agree, though I wouldn’t mind a bit more fruit in those ones, the chocolate is a bit too sweet and thick. I love the cherries but they are far too rich to really snack on. The blueberry are good but sort of gritty?
I only got the dark chocolate btw. I would imagine the milk chocolate are FAR too sweet, since the dark is already borderline too sweet. I don’t think it’s really dark chocolate in anything but color.
@sammydog01@Telanis Love the appricot. Now, the blueberry… I think those are almost good. Definitely gritty. I’m contemplating ordering again, but I don’t want 12 more of those.
These were one of the best things I’ve gotten food wise off here. It’s real fruit, covered in chocolate, what’s not to like? No idea on the probiotic part, and frankly they taste too good for me to care all that much. Just a nice tasty treat is good enough. Using mostly sugar with corn syrup way down on the list is also a huge selling plus.
I got the mix last time, and I still have some left (which appear to have the same expiration as these) so I won’t be buying more yet, but I think the milk chocolate ones were too sweet, whereas the dark chocolate ones are perfect.
Those little bags are 2.5 servings. Funny. Who opens one & eats a few & then, what, closes it somehow? Put’s it away? Stops eating them until the next day?
@Joedetroit That’s just a marketing ploy: For most people, having opened the bag, it would be ONE serving (as you indicated); but then, they’d have to own up to eating 2.5 X the calories of a “single” serving.
These are really filling- it takes me a couple days to finish a bag.
I could finish a bag in one sitting, but I don’t. I grab a couple of pieces after each of several meals until the bag is empty. (Okay, yeah, with the blueberry ones I’m grabbing more than a couple because the bits are small. But you can tell they’re really dried blueberries because of the grittiness people are noticing. That’s the seeds. The “blueberries” in a lot of muffins are fake, which is why they aren’t gritty.)
2.5 oz. That’s one bag. Personally without actually ever sampling these I can’t say for sure BUT I tell you… if these are as good as people are saying… I could down one bag & be doing my very best to keep from opening another. Filling? “hHAAHAHAhahahaha…” says my stomach. It takes my stomach around 45 mins to get around to telling my brain I ate anything. All the while my brain is insisting that I am going to starve to death if I don’t eat more.
@Joedetroit My stomach & brain do that as well. I’ve never understood how some people can be eating and realize they’ve had enough. If I were still eating when my body realized I’d eaten anything, I’d be so far beyond “full” that I’d explode. It took me a while to understand that not everybody has that disconnect between the brain and the stomach. I suppose (as with everything else) that there are more people out there that are like that than we realize, and that it likely even has a name, but you and I have both been noticing this about ourselves not ever knowing there might be more. I wonder what search term might be likely to find out what this syndrome might be called? Empty stomach syndrome? Not-feeling-full-until-much-too-late syndrome? You’re the first person I’ve ever seen mention it.
@Doooood OMG I AM NOT ALONE. Search the internet? I’ve never had any luck with it other than we got Leptin resistance. "Leptin resistance occurs when your brain stops acknowledging the hormone’s signal’. If that’s what I got, I’ve had it all my life. All I can do is get as much exercise as I can while limiting the carbs & uppin the protein & avoiding sugar. Seems to work somewhat for me. My doctor basically just shrugs at me. BTW, stay away from Zyrtec, that crap makes me hungry all the time no matter what, way past the 45 mins. I was waking up in the middle of the night starving.
I had somebody on Reddit tell me about it & wow what a difference when I stopped taking it.
Got them last time and I agree, they are good. I enjoyed the apricot and cherries, not so much the blueberries though, but I’m not a blueberry guy anyway. Might as well get more?
Oh Nooooo - just milk chocolate left? Say, any chance we devoted VMPs will be given a chance to get dark or the mix around 4pm? (Does that ever even really work?) Please, may I have some more, dear Sirs (or Mesdames) – otherwise I might have to go out and scour brick-and-mortar store shelves (ugh) for marked-down V. Day candy - and I can’t even pretend that it’s going to be at least a little “healthy”!
@wickhameh
USPS regs do not permit shipping, sorry. (Dunno about FedEx Ground; they shouldn’t care, given the condition of some of the things they “deliver”.)
These look yummy, BUT… inulin, a so-called pre-biotic. It’s indigestible material that supposedly helps beneficial gut bacteria to grow. “The most common side effects include gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and cramps.” Not a good option for a person with IBD (or IBS). Also, way too high in sugar, even for chocolate.

these make me really gassy. I’m contributing to global warming at a higher rate than cows. …which is ironic since my vmp lapsed and I now have the poop icon
I finally talked myself into trying them (back in February) but they were already sold out of the dark chocolate option, so I’m glad that ¾ of today’s deal is dark chocolate.
Here’s hoping they’re as good as I’ve been led to believe…

Aww, FROOKIT!! I wanted an IRK!! Phooey!!

I don’t care if they’re good for me, they’re chocolate-covered fruit, and that’s enough!
These are good. Especially the apricot.
@sammydog01 Agree, though I wouldn’t mind a bit more fruit in those ones, the chocolate is a bit too sweet and thick. I love the cherries but they are far too rich to really snack on. The blueberry are good but sort of gritty?

Also… Hi, @sammydog01
@christinewas Hi!
@Telanis I only got dark chocolate too, I was afraid milk would be too sweet.
@sammydog01 @Telanis I can confirm, the dark chocolate ones were good, the milk chocolate were too sweet.

Way too much sugar
I think we broke Meh.
But I guess it is back.

These are frookiting good!
Of course, being probiotic will anger supporters of the antibiotic movement, but sometimes you need to put politics aside.
You know what? I’m tired of trying to score magical internet points.
@yakkoTDI you win. You proved to everyone that you are the fastest midnight typist ever.
Enjoy those meaningless internet points. You have one less person to fight.
@guybrush01 But I didn’t even try tonight. I dozed off on the couch and got here at 12:30.
Thanks for including a milk/dark blend. We are a household divided

I got the dark chocolate ones last time, they were very good

@robson Sorry, this deal contains 3 unique items and I’m not sure which one you want. You can review how to pick one, or just try ordering from the checkout page.
I like them. They are 350 Cal a package. But, who’s counting…
Always remember: NBFFM (Never Buy Food From Meh)
@Frijid More for the rest of us!
Eye love fruit, white chocolate is the shit. Eye suppose one could settle for the mix assortment.
Is it cereal?
@mexicantacos if you pour milk on them and eat it with a spoon. Anything can be cereal if you try!
Get ur frook on!

Alas, already out of the dark chocolate. Boo!
Take out the fruit and I’m in…

I’m interested in the poops this snack produces.
@wickhameh
USPS regs do not permit shipping, sorry. (Dunno about FedEx Ground; they shouldn’t care, given the condition of some of the things they “deliver”.)
These are good. Would have got more but no dark left.
No dark chocolate ones left? Nope. Next.
Milk chocolate only? Nope nope nope nope nope.
I did enjoy these last time
/giphy fortunate-usual-birch
Oh look, another snack that isn’t nut-free…
The Dark Chocolate are the better ones. The milk chocolate just seemed too sweet.
I’ve been considering these all day but after learning you’re out of dark I guess that makes my mind up for me.

They’re tasty so far, too early to judge any after effects.
Got some the last time- Delicious!
Let’s see how long this batch lasts ! Cherry is the tastiest

I’m (almost) addicted to these
@ladyhawke001 I wish I could buy more.
@ladyhawke001 @sammydog01 And now you can, for up to a day, at least. With limited selection.
I finally talked myself into trying them (back in February) but they were already sold out of the dark chocolate option, so I’m glad that ¾ of today’s deal is dark chocolate.
