@spatialdrift Cotton holds too much moisture against your skin. If you can afford it, merino wool is a much superior fiber. My wife got me a long sleeve merino wool base layer shirt. I never would have spent that much on it but man was it worth it. Far and away the best garment I have ever owned.
@madanthony I hate to break it to you but your state is more than happy to take your money for any frivolous purpose. Add classic vanity plates to the list. Claiming that cars from the nineties are classics doesn’t make it true…it’s just a way to market premium registration fees to more suckers.
@tweezak- i think the brand’s name Is Tailor Vintage, but the shirt is neither Tailor made, nor Vintage by age!! BTW, i can’t beleive they sell for $58 each,…i hesitate to buy’em for around,$8.50 each! Oh & they’re actually simply winter shirts!!
OK, so where are the UPF 50+ Sun PANTS to protect my bottom half from the Sun?? You want to see me walking around like a half-moon cookie meh??
/showme a guy wearing a Tailor Vintage UPF 50+ Sun Shirt while his legs are unprotected so they get a deep dark tan. When he takes off his shirt he then looks like a half-moon cookie with a pasty white chest and dark, almost chocolate colored legs.
I learned the hard way that a regular cotton T-shirt offers very little UV protection. I got the worst sunburn of my life through a T-shirt. My arms were fine, since I’d put sunscreen on them.

What is Meh’s aversion to cotton?
@spatialdrift Cotton is a commodity. Polyester from China is probably made from our recycled waste and a non-zero chance of household hazardous waste.
@spatialdrift Remember, Meh sells all the stuff that other outfits didn’t want.

Since when is 1993 vintage? Maybe with wine. I must be medieval.
@tweezak If it were a car it would be old enough to get historic license plates in my state (and probably a bunch of others)

@tweezak Actually, at least in my state, historic tags are significantly cheaper than regular tags, and also don’t require inspection.
You are, however, not supposed to use it as your daily driver, only occasional use.
Option 3: You wear whatever suits you, and stay indoors like a sensible person.

@MrGoodGuy Here’s the image you requested for “a guy wearing a Tailor Vintage UPF 50+ Sun Shirt while his legs are unprotected so they get a dee…”
@mediocrebot @MrGoodGuy Mulatto? Black from the waist down. Ending this post here.

And then I had a nine hour flight.
Hey, My Toyota Xcab is Vintage 1992…
Daily Driver 150K miles… 5 Speed, cuz what else?
@Mandamm '05 Scion xB, 5 speed; I say that it’s my Emotional Support Stickshift. (With a shiny new clutch, yippee!)
I hate sunscreen so much I wear long sleeved UPF shirts and a floppy hat when I’ll be outdoorsing for a while even when it’s 100 degrees out.
