Hell yes she is. In fact, she’s willing to sacrifice our love. She never takes advice. Someday she’ll pay the price, I know. I’ve seen it before. It happens all the time…
This is a little off topic for this thread, but apparently, we are not to discuss our go-to summer cocktails. Even though we were invited to do so in the poll.
@shahnm I post this and a few minutes later the summer cocktail thread mysteriously appears. It’s almost like someone at Meh is reading these posts. Or that I’m a little impatient and that was going to happen anyway. Either way, I could use a drink.
How tall are they (specifically the beer and juice glasses)? I want to make sure I have enough clearance in my freezer to put them rim side down per the instructions.
Also, according to the amazon listing they are NOT dishwasher safe, which makes sense. I was surprised to see them listed that way here. Which is it?
@psantora they are about 3" and 6" tall.
As for the dishwasher safe question, according to their promotional material, they have a one-way pressure valve that lets them be “dishwasher-proof,” but the box they come in says “hand wash only,” so to be on the safe side I would hand wash. Sorry for the confusion!
Okay, each lasts for up to thirty minutes, but how long do they take to refreeze? If they take more than sixty minutes to refreeze, then a three-pack will not allow for continuous usage, assuming each glass is used for a full thirty minutes of beverage cooling before being placed back in the freezer and removing a new glass for the next beverage.
@blaineg@Targaryen Yes, buying more was my initial thought, but I’d still like to know the refreeze time to know how many would be needed for the continuous cycle . . . three, six, forty-five . . .
What is the purpose of Bud Light level beer? Is it for those of us who do not like the flavor of actual beer and don’t want to get drunk, but genuinely enjoy urinating?
Based upon sales stats, that demographic seems to represent an alarming percentage of American beer buyers…
I have already bought like a hundred or so Bubba, Stanley and that vaguely Italian sounding brand of thermos from you guys already. Literally have boxes of them in the basement. My ability to keep drinks cool OR warm is already far beyond my capacity to actually drink them.
@ponagathos Might have still bought them, if they were not so ugly. Except for the cocktail glasses, which are too small. And I already have some similar that are about 10oz capacity.
“there are the people who prefer their cocktails neat. These people will speak to you for hours about nuance, about vanilla notes in their bourbon, about the smokey honey-laced leather taste of their Scotch. They despise ice because, in its quest to cool the beverage, it melts, thus reducing the potency of every flavor and ruining the drink’s balance.”
Wrong, sir! Wrong!
The bugger issue with ice in scotch is that it numbs the taste buds, not that it waters down the scotch. Many of us prefer a splash of water to “open up” the flavors. Although I agree that a lot of ice dilutes the drink, I would not drink a glass of fine scotch in these glasses either (not to mention they are the wrong shape for the best experience).
Well, i didn’t click unto meh.com until 3:29PM & the beer mugs were sold out. My Bad!! I was gonna say, “Now, you speakin to the chior”, but no mug, no Now!! Shit!! Maybe Morning Save will have some, but if you all are sold out, that’s highly unlikely!! As i said, “Shit!!”

Cold beer cold beer —-what a glass act!
You know what I do when I want a frozen glass? I stick a glass in the freezer.
@norman8 I just climb into the freezer and drink in there, it’s more efficient.
@norman8 I call Elsa, she hooks me up
@lichme @norman8 think you need to let it go
@lichme That bitch is cold.
@lichme @nolrak @norman8 nah… the cold never bothered him anyway
@lichme @nolrak @norman8
@lichme @shahnm is she as cold as ice?
@lichme @nostrom0
Hell yes she is. In fact, she’s willing to sacrifice our love. She never takes advice. Someday she’ll pay the price, I know. I’ve seen it before. It happens all the time…
Just store your booze in the freezer and you don’t need to worry about exchanging glasses every other drink.
It also helps if you drink it fast enough where it doesn’t get the chance to warm up
@MrMikenIkes “and will stay cold for up to half an hour” — this seems like it’s about 29.5 minutes longer than a beer should need to be kept cold
Yes! 3 beer mugs please.
They’re like little portable battery transportation devices… My batteries can go on half hour trips away from the fridge and still stay fresh!
@shahnm except for those weird green ones from a couple years ago that leaked all over the place
@nolrak Are you talking about poorly made drinkware, defective batteries, or incontinent alien visitors?
@shahnm I was talking about defective batteries, but now I’m mildly curious about the aliens
These kind of seem like items that should have been put into the fukos
@nolrak fukos are so 2 days ago.

Meh.

I am a little frightened of the “proprietary freezing liquid” – what if there’s a leak? Am I drinking antifreeze or what?
@elpepe Probably. That’s only a problem if you’re not already blind, though.
@elpepe wouldn’t it be profreeze?
In truth, the number of glasses I have seen leak versus catastrophically fail is relatively small.
Do I have to be the first one to post a Mr Freeze image?
@melonscoop Ugh. Yes.
In for 3 beer mugs
did somebody say margarita glasses?
@alacrity We have to know… What kind of margaritas do these make?
@djslack the kind that really fuck up your digestive track if they’re not blended fine enough.
@alacrity Are margarita glasses similar to beer goggles?
/giphy beer goggles
@alacrity He’s wearing a red shirt, so I have to assume it ends badly.
@alacrity brain freeze?
How many pieces will be in your delivery box? It starts with three, and arrives with … A reverse Candy Corn phenomenon.

“Freezable glasses”, so regular glasses?
We have to buy three of the same type? Fuck that. No ability to buy just one or mix and match is bullshit. Stop doing shit like this.
@Dizavid Pretty sure you don’t, the mix and match is the entire point.
@Dizavid look again. It would appear you can do all the things you claim cannot be done, although I did not click buy to prove it.
@djslack Oh, well, it was also too expensive anyway.
@yeppers Actially, looked again and it is a three pack of one type of glass I’m pretty sure.
/giphy shiny-unzipped-burst
I like that you can mix and match I’m in for at least 3

@CatFriend The obvious answer here is just drink it faster.
@CatFriend @Targaryen I would have thought the obvious Meh answer would be to buy more of them.
@blaineg @CatFriend I figured that was implied.
@blaineg @Targaryen Yes, buying more was my initial thought, but I’d still like to know the refreeze time to know how many would be needed for the continuous cycle . . . three, six, forty-five . . .
Beer should never be poured into a frozen mug.
It gets too cold to taste it!
@daveinwarsh Have you seen the mass produced beers people drink these days? Not tasting it is a feature, not a bug…
@daveinwarsh Not if it starts at room temp. Then the right frozen glass brings it to perfect temperature.
@daveinwarsh If I’m drinking Bud Light level beer I’m not trying to taste it.
@daveinwarsh I’m with you. I prefer beer that tastes good rather than the swill that requires a frozen mug.
@daveinwarsh @Targaryen

I’ll stick with Bubba.
@JT954 What is something a Mehtizen might say in jail, Alex?

@Bumplepimp
“Triple…”
Damn, the only ones I want are sold out!

I really want to be a buyer for MEH. I would get a decent 6 figure salary. I know where to find quality stuff like this.

@spavlis It never occurred to me that spirits needed to be cold. (Well… OK, Margaritas…) I’m fine with a splash of water as well.

Why is Leo flipping my off!!!
@davidfast Why is your off flippable?
Good news: your drinks will be cold.
Bad news: frostbite on your hands, lips, and tung.
“Maximize temperature” is fairly high on the list of things I would not expect a freeze glass to do to my drink
