@johathom You my friend have a LOT to learn around here. I’ve been around for thousands of days, I know Meh well, and I can pretty much guarantee these suck.
@johathom@Stallion@stinks I too will chug this tug boat a little longer that I too have been here for thousands of days and they may be cheap and they may suck that doesn’t mean I might not be a sucker for some cheap suck
@sp3ar You my friend like to live on the edge…and waste money, lol. I was actually VERY tempted to buy these but I’m refraining, I just know they will be such crap that they’ll go immediately into an IRK swap box or worse.
@Stallion, not that it matters since they, AND Factory Direct are both SOLD OUT! I have Panama Red for $5 an oz, but I’m currently SOLD OUT!! My Bad! Yeah, Right!!
For $15 what could go wrong? Now $5 each with a 1 year warranty. What whos gonna provide the warranty some China man in the Kong rainforest. Nah I don’t think so. I would rather pay more for actual consumer support. I wouldn’t even gift these. The recipient would never shut the fuck up once they broke or gave them cancer.
@whomeyesu worse case, you use them as audio bugs that you can “accidentally drop” in the office to get dirt on your boss for that juicy juicy bonus! YEAH BABY!
@flehm That sounds worse than flehm coming up a smokers throat. No my boss would be like what you trying to bribe me or give me Corona with thes cheap china buds. Somehow I would receive a devotion instead of the annual promotion.
@flehm@whomeyesu “phlegm” and “demotion” respectively, although it’s amusing to think of a Meh user being coughed up a smoker’s throat and also of getting a devotion from your boss.
To be fair to the price comparison, Factory Direct charges in Canadollars. That means three of these, were they not sold out at that fine establishment, would cost a strapping young buddy a rousing rendition of O Canada, a small poutine, some maple syrup that got dribbled on snow to pretend it’s candy, some way overpriced beer, a bit of hockey or curling (dealer’s choice), and proof that they can name every possible connection to Canada that anything anyone ever liked bears. Or, about 33 USD.
Hey, I’m bored and I live in Canada now. I get to poke overlong fun, eh?
@KayceMcM Nah, it would be ~20.30 CAD for the Meh offering price. The 33 USD mentioned was in regards to the listed ~45 for 3 at Factory Direct (which would be 45 CAD) price comparison, not the Meh offering price. If 45 CAD were equal to the 20.28 USD you mentioned, I’d be exchanging my US money for Canadollars right the heck now and finally be able to afford one of these ridiculously overpriced, hideous split-level townhouses! Pyrrhic yay?
@venussuz you add it after you realize that hiring your newly graduated engineering nephew to design the audio and power management circuits was a terrible get rich scheme and you need a distraction from awful audio quality and battery life so the Italian “investors” don’t break your other kneecap.
@venussuz I’ve always thought it would be useful to have a Siri button on earbuds so I can say “Siri I like this song” while out on a jog. This way I don’t need to pull out my phone from my running belt just to unlock it (while wearing a mask so I can’t use Face ID) just to click the like button on Spotify.
Well, I’ve had $50 pairs of these fail on me twice after short periods of time. At least now that I’ve ordered these it won’t hurt so bad when they die and I’ll have spare sets at hand.
I wonder if these companies manufacture items specifically FOR Meh? I mean it seems all their junk ends up here. Why bother with actual retail channels?
Plus, They probably sound like fart smells in the shower…
@catthegreat Same thing happened to me. They were DOA. I contacted customer support and received a replacement. when the replacement didn’t work, they issued a refund. Customer support is always extremely helpful.
The one redeeming quality these seem to have is that the battery / controller section is in the middle of the cord. That seems better than the ones I have where it’s close to the right ear bud and keeps pulling out the ear bud and being generally annoyingly off balance.
I bought exactly the same one at Target for $2.50. it’s originally $5, on sale for 50% off. Also don’t have to wait for it in the mail. You can probably find one cheaper at any dollar store or any discount stores like Big Lots.
So what the Hazel? (dubious-festering-meeting) I’ll just give these to people that I don’t particularly like all that well ( Unless they buy some miraculous chance they actually work semi Ok, then I’ll keep them ).
FWIW One can find many “extreme” brand products at Menards stores and my experience with them has been positive overall. One of their two-port USB power adapters charges my dad’s phone and tablet and one of their battery packs holdS a goodly amount of juice in a compact stick for juicing up my phone on the go.
@GLaDOS As Venato said

@Stallion first day here? You can be cheap and good
@johathom You my friend have a LOT to learn around here. I’ve been around for thousands of days, I know Meh well, and I can pretty much guarantee these suck.
@johathom @Stallion I too have been on meh for thousands of days, and I can counter that it doesn’t always stink.
Though, um, yes, it almost always certainly does.
/giphy not wrong

@johathom @sp3ar @Stallion @stinks
A woman walked up to my car a couple years ago at a stop light and offered me, in her exact words “a cheap suck”.
@bdb @johathom @sp3ar @stinks So…Did you take her up on her offer???
@Stallion, not that it matters since they, AND Factory Direct are both SOLD OUT! I have Panama Red for $5 an oz, but I’m currently SOLD OUT!! My Bad! Yeah, Right!!
OH MY GOD THEY JUST USED GLEN IN A PICTURE FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER!!!
@shahnm What? Oh man, you just ruined it for me. I thought Glen was the included “virtual assistant” order cancelled
Box says these are Bluetooh
@Alowishus In English and Français no less!
@Alowishus OMG
After the extended play pair that lasted all of 2 songs?
Meh.
@brainmist, even dat’s better than a SoundBot speaker, which I have Not gotten to work, ergo, it leads me to think THEY DON’T WORK!!
I can’t find a single review for these online
@DavidChurchRN There’s a claim earlier in this thread saying with confidence that they stink. Does that count?
@DavidChurchRN @stinks, C!!
@DavidChurchRN, search no mo!! <^> <^> - 2 Stars- Reason- I don’t like the fn color dammit!!

@flehm @whomeyesu, actually, ‘demotion’ would Sound better, or, at least, make more sense!!
I’m going to give these to people I hate.
@andrewj That’s the spirit!

@Venato Is it true Canadians still leave the doors open. If so I sure hope the backdoor doesn’t just flap in the wind.
@Venato - Actually, it would be $20.28USD.
@KayceMcM Nah, it would be ~20.30 CAD for the Meh offering price. Why add Google or Siri to frigging earbuds? More to screw up what should be a simple product.

@MrMikenIkes @venussuz Yes but will the button actually work ???
@venussuz
Will these make my Virtual Assistant more extreme?
@MrMikenIkes I’m guessing that if by “extreme” you mean “even less reliable than normal” then the answer is probably yes.
/8ball Will these make MrMikenIkes’s Virtual Assistant more extreme?
Cannot predict now
@MrMikenIkes @yeppers RoG LmFAo
Earbuds on meh… this time will be different! Right?
@thismyusername
So, do these come pre-awfulled, or do you have to charge them before you throw them out? Or is it a more buy-3-and-one-might-perform-acceptibly?
Well, I’ve had $50 pairs of these fail on me twice after short periods of time. At least now that I’ve ordered these it won’t hurt so bad when they die and I’ll have spare sets at hand.

I was thinking of getting these for Christmas stocking stuffers, but after seeing the specs:
Talk Time: 2 hours
Play Time: 2-2.5 Hours
Charge Time: 1.5 Hours
That’s Xtremely terrible!
Ahh, no. In case I was unclear, like their sound, no.
I bought a similar set of twopair last time offered. Neither seems to work at all. Anyone have any suggestions?
@catthegreat Same thing happened to me. They were DOA. I contacted customer support and received a replacement. when the replacement didn’t work, they issued a refund. Customer support is always extremely helpful.

@mediocrebot @meh Were they $45 at Factory Direct in Canadian Dollars, or US Dollars???
@GLaDOS As Venato said

I’m kind of happy. It had been a couple of days since Meh offered a speaker/earbuds etc. and I was kind of going into withdrawal.
MINE are out for delivery today via USPS
Stay tuned for review
The screens over the earpieces on all 3 fell out before I put them in my ears. I wrote and asked about returning them and no answer.
@bfaplanet it usually takes about 7 business days for a response right now. If it’s been longer, check your spam and promotions folders.
You can also check at meh.com/support to see if the latest reply updated there (if it’s been past seven days.)
1out of 3 works… 2 will not charge!!
Any response, replace, ebate, or ???

Still have not received my order. Placed back in June. Can someone help?
