@werehatrack
Cotton = Sweaty stinky feet. I’ll take breathable, wickable poly/spandex any day. (But i don’t need green or white socks, so i will pass.)
@toddjackson My experience is precisely the opposite; polyester = athlete’s foot and a stench in both the feet and the shoes that could corrode the chrome on a bumper, and the feet require scrubbing to take them out of Superfund eligibility. Cotton, OTOH, comes off with a slight odor or none, and the feet usually have no stink; if they do, they rinse to “no aroma” with just water. Maybe you’re buying a different kind of polyester than I did, but I never found one that didn’t have those results, and I’m not going to repeat an experiment that failed so hard, so many times. .
@heartny@toddjackson@werehatrack I prefer cotton over nylon, but I’ve taken to wearing bamboo fiber socks as they have the breathability of synthetics but the comfort of cotton. They’re quite thin, however, so if you need thick socks they’re not so great.
@jmkiii If you have size 11+ (Men’s) feet, it’s a Feature. (I wear a women’s 13, same range, far more difficult to find, and almost none of the men’s socks are very useful.)

@toddjackson @werehatrack Polyester and nylon socks for me are like wearing plastic bags. I much prefer cotton for my tootsies.

/showme Steven seagal wearing low socks
Still with the truly creepy eyes, and eleven fingers.
/showme john Madden wearing low socks
The 'bot obviously does not understand “low cut socks”.
And the hands, ewwwww.
I’m dubious when socks say they fit up to size 12. Seems like a recipe for overly squnched toes.

Was anyone else ordering Steve Madden socks expecting women’s socks? Wasn’t expecting large men’s low cut socks…
