2020 sucks hard, but at least I have this meh-rathon...
20Hey y’all, I’m just having a rough time as of late, as I know a lot of people are. I don’t mean to bring everyone down, I just feel like this damn site is the only thing bringing me any joy right now.
Last month we found out our dog Bruno had cancer. He was 5. We had to put him down Saturday.
Sunday I got a call from my mom. My dad’s been in and out of the hospital for around a month (not COVID), and it doesn’t look good. I’ll be flying out to see him Tuesday.
Anyways, thanks Meh for giving me something to do tonight, cuz it beats dwelling on my reality right now.
How’s everyone else? Anyone have some good news?

Oof, that’s a whole pile of bad juju to have to deal with at once. I don’t think there’s any good news to offer that can compete with that though. Been there in both respects and def sending you my condolences. Hang in there!

@cinoclav I was able to snag the 2:15 IRK. It did help a bit, I guess retail therapy IS a thing.
That’s a lot of bad stuff to hit all at once. My heart goes out to you and your family.

@f00l Thanks, yeah, I’ve been slowly reaching out to friends to loop them in, on one hand I’m thankful because with COVID it’s “easy” to take off a week, but on the other hand, I can’t SEE anyone
Sorry to hear. I’ve definitely used this site as therapy when I’ve had shit happen to me. It helps some to vent.

I’m so sorry about Bruno. I lost a dog to cancer and it’s so hard. I hope your dad recovers. Some good news? Although the weather is turning colder, we are still harvesting peppers from the garden and freezing for winter use. Umm, we haven’t had a freeze yet, although it was damn cold this morning. That counts, right? It’s hard to think of good news nowadays, but hang in there. Good wishes coming your way.
@mehnyblooms We expected cancer given that he was a rescue and probably came from an unscrupulous breeder, just didn’t expect it at 5.
Glad to hear your garden’s still producing! I need to dig up the potatoes to see if any of them got bigger than my thumb, and I’ve got one last watermelon that’s probably past ripe at this point.
I do appreciate the cold, though, fall is probably my favorite time of the year.
Agreed about this year, it can just stop anytime.

Good news- I am on vacation, well staycation since the travel plans got changed. I am getting a few of those put off forever things done. I am also talking so me time to just relax and not think about anything. It has been absolutely beautiful weather although a bit chilly.
