@Michaelforman The Libratone app has worked fine for me. At any rate, you only need to get them set up because you can just use them with airplay 2. I don’t have a HomePod mini, but I think the audio is pretty good and the sound sync actually works well too.
That said, these aren’t airplay 2 speakers and I have no idea what the sound quality is on this model.
The stereo thing is neat from a tech/engineering perspective but seems like more hassle than it’s worth for on the go. Do people often find themselves wanting to put time into arranging speakers but aren’t bothered by the actual audio quality?
@wendigee Umm, you use SONOS speakers only with bluetooth… You’ve really missed what makes SONOS speakers unique.
The simplicity and abilities of using SONOS speakers on a WiFi or ethernet network were what made them so popular.
I bought a pair of these solely for use as shower speakers, since they hang around the curtain rod and lie flat against the walls, and they’re perfect for that role. They sound good for music, although I usually listen to things that are mostly speech like news while I’m showering (because I don’t have to watch the accompanying video.) Battery life is excellent; I can use them for about 30 minutes a day and charge them once a month (and even then they’ve got charge to spare, according to their status lights.)
The only downside is that, while they sync up and work as a pair via the app, I have to re-create the pair every time I power them up; only one of the speakers will connect to the source device and the 2nd one has to be paired in the app.
I’ve enjoyed my Zipp and Zipp 2 speakers. In my house’s “large” room, I have a four-speaker “Soundspace” which, despite occasions glitches, works pretty well. I can use the AUX in to wire an Amazon Echo to one of the speakers, and that input propagates wirelessly to the other three. Pretty cool, although Libratone’s software puts the speakers to sleep after awhile and waking them up requires some slight but annoying effort. So, I have had some success with Libratone stuff. But why pay $99 for these pairable BT speakers? No WiFi? No Airplay? For half the price, maybe. Maybe not. I’d rather pick up a Zipp mini for the bathroom, honestly.
@manhattnik I would agree that the ability to WiFi and AirPlay2 was the main reason I went for the Zipps, and I liked that a lot. I’d never used AirPlay before that and was sitting happily listening to music via AirPlay on 2 stereo-configured Zipps without too much setup effort (longest part was doing the firmware updates from Libratone, but that is a 1-time thing – well, it was 2 updates). Without the WiFi feature on these, and I’m not saying they’re bad at all, but it seems the Zipps offered quite a bit more for the $, especially in the later discounts on them. I think the last time, the Zipp Mini was not much more than this. Though the Zipps were designed more for sitting on a shelf or desk, not for carrying around camping or to the shower…
I have one used it for 1 hour a day for six months now the bluetooth is losing connection. Go with one of the other libratones if they have any and avoid thisnone.

Requires 9 AAA Batteries (included)
9 … are these rechargeable batteries? This type of power architecture seems odd or dated if not… anyone know? 50 watts is sounding pretty good even if the speaker was designed and released 4’to 5 years back
Perhaps I am the @ignoramus here, but where do you see 9AAA? I must be missing something I don’t see that anywhere in the description or this forum. What I see in the description is “Charged through micro USB” which sounds like this has an internal Li-Ion battery, which has been true of all the other Libratone portable speakers that have been offered here. It also says 2x Power Supply included. Which I don’t think means 18 AAA batteries.

The first email estimated ten days for delivery. The order arrived twenty-three days later. The product is fine - the process leaves much to be desired.
@rbennett4 Mother nature threw a curve ball to many in the nation. All of the shipping companies suffered disruptions in the deep freeze, not to mention that the warehouse is located in Texas.
@amaGoh1 these are the best Libratone’s IMO. I have pair of the Libratone zip 2,s and they aren’t as clean. I wish they would get us some clicks again .
@amaGoh1@sammydog01 very. Pairing the stereo can be frustrating. Sometimes you have to remove and re add and it’s dumb. But once they are paired and in stereo mode and they are split at the right distance, the stereo really adds a lot.

This deal really speaks to me.
So not only is it more bluetooth speakers I don’t need, but they’re ALSO a hundred bucks? Where do I sign?!
Don’t get sucked in! Ear implants are the next wave of stereo sound.
Not very practical as luggage. All functionality sacrificed for style.
I got my One Click in on the Meh button. (Or do i need two clicks for a 2-pack of One Clicks?)
It’s late, my eyes are bleary. I first read that '50 Watt" in the blurb as “So What” and clicked accordingly.
Bought the Libratone Zipp 2 and the software on iOS is nonfunctional and the speaker sound pales in comparison to a HomePod mini.
@Michaelforman I have been using the Libratone apps on iOS with no problems. Define “nonfunctional?”

bought a pair of these (for more $$) a few months back. I’m kinda picky about my audio and I am impressed with the sound.
I bet these really TWEET loud, until Twitter takes back their logo.
50 watts in a 3 in speaker?
@mcemanuel and your remember everything, whether it happened or not…

How do i order a boatload of these “wireless bluetooth speakers” immediately? I can’t find the button. Only a hundred bucks? Kiss my butt SONOS

50-Watt? Press X to doubt.
@FightingMongoos “X”

I believe the Libratone Warehouse is actually inside the Meh Warehouse given the volume of speakers offered for sale.
These look like power banks wearing little headphones.
lol - 50 Watts
/giphy sure jan
Leave it to Giphy to fuck something so simple up. But, apropos for Meh I guess…

@ignoramus the Amazon page is wrong. I don’t know why it lists AAA batteries when it’s got a rechargable battery inside.
@pmarin the Amazon link but I guess it’s not accurate
@bakav2 gotcha ok tnx

It’s DeMarco not Demarco.
Thanks meh for the effort in yet another libratone offering. Unfortunately eye can not seem to find the buy now click tab. Oh geez good attempt.
so i get the feeling meh items are one-note.
therefore, I unsubscribed.
Has anyone had success pairing two for stereo?

Can these be re ordered through Meh athon?
@amaGoh1 these are the best Libratone’s IMO. I have pair of the Libratone zip 2,s and they aren’t as clean. I wish they would get us some clicks again .
@amaGoh1 as of right now they are still available
@amaGoh1 @Num1Zero FINE I ORDERED THEM I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY. In green.
