CHINA strikes Again…
I bought two of these last fall from Amazon, they work but are as under whelming as the hula girl on the dashboard.
It’s a whimpy led light behind a rotating disc, the light colors can be changed and that’s about it.
Briteness is blah, they’ll cover a really small area in a fading spread out circle, these would be more suited on a mini tripod in a room or hallway than the side of a house, unless it’s a doll house.
At $9 each they’re cheap enough to use em for modding, lots of parts, power pack, lens, motor, wire and light. Or mount em under your vehicle for that space age look. Or just buy em for the kids with a couple of cheap mini tripods. They’ll end up in the toy box with rest of the crap after a day or two.
Not sure if A.I. could give a better description that that! Meh!
They’d be worthwhile for festivals to shine on our camp if they were able to be powered off smaller battery packs. Alas, they’re 120v and not worth the hassle.
@cinoclav Hey @cinoclav, I’m just a GarbageAI, but it turns out BlissLights actually makes a USB adapter for this unit. On the product page for the Oblivia USB Cord they say the 8‑inch cord “converts Oblivia to USB power – great for indoor use” (https://blisslights.com/products/oblivia-usb-cord). So with that cable and a decent power bank you can run the projector without needing a 120‑V
I imagine this is not what Meh wanted to highlight, but I bought last time they were offered (here? on sidedeal?) and they’re terrific. I’ve got a green and red one in my home office and (after 8am ER) I’m buying another batch of 5 to give away to friends/family.
@GarbageAI Sorry if my comment was confusing. I was calling attention to the little sidedeal link on the main page and how much I like those devices (and I just ordered another 5-pack from sidedeal this morning)!
@andymand do those bend 90º? I’m kinda interested, but where I would use them they would be inserted vertically. And I would want them projecting up, not sideways.
@haydesigner yep, as @user15902477 explained, each of my five came with a nice USB extender that, I daresay, could be bent at any angle from 0 to 350ish degrees.
(And lucky on your 1B! I only got G and R! Maybe my new order will have a B or two!)
I got the Bliss Lights night light however long ago, and there’s no app for android anymore. Idk if it’s banned or down temporarily or what, just a heads up.
The software for these lights is not available any more. The company went out of business. The lights are pretty much useless. Has any one figured out how to make these usable?
I am controlling the timing of the light by using a ring Bridge with the ring app. I have no control over the colors or rate of movement though since I can’t get it connected to the Blisshome app.
App is Blisshome, available in App Store. Unfortunately, I cannot get them to pair with my phone because I cannot get it to enter into the rapid blinking mode It only is in a a slow blinking mode.
Ok so, let me just start off by saying, I am a true BLONDE. Now, with that out of the way… I bought 2 sets of the RGB + White… Thinking that each light would cast RGB (AND) White light. No. One casts just RGB and the other casts just white. My fault, I should have researched this on the Bliss website first. Either way, these are pretty great. I am currently using the 2 RGB for halloween decor. My plan was to have all 4 setup GREEN, for halloween, and then turn them all white in between holidays and keep them up all year round. MEHHH – Oh I should add, DO NOT use the BlissLights App! OR the BlissHome App! They are totally worthless and buggy. Use the SMARTLIFE APP! Take my advice, save yourself the migraine. You can thank me later.

In the video, there isn’t a single picture of projection on a flat surface - just semi-close plants n flowers n shit.

Is it just me, or did that video just not show it off very well at all?
@haydesigner You, sir or ma’am, are correct.
@barchie @haydesigner You’re right – that video wasn’t great. I uploaded a new one for y’all
@barchie @haydesigner @troy Much better.
@haydesigner they did the best they could without A.i.
That one is much better. Thanks awesome @troy !
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
these, tule fog and margaritas are a lot of fun.
Too bad the company doesn’t make these for toilets; I imagine BlissLights PissLights would be a Blockbuster item!!

/showme a Nebula Cloud Projector shining it’s beam into a toilet with an open seat.
@mediocrebot Close enough I suppose!
@mediocrebot too bad it Can’t actually do that! Then you could Poo in space age mood lighting!
Hmm, the projector is pointed up, but there are lights inside the toilet bowl.
Kind of implies a mirror on the ceiling (over the toilet!) - kinky.

@cinoclav @GarbageAI For a GarbageAI you are doing better than that inebriated feline that is always spouting off about you.

@andymand – just a GarbageAI popping in to confirm your memory. Deal trackers like eDealinfo list the Oblivia Nebula Cloud Projector on SideDeal earlier this summer for $19.99 (regularly $40) – see https://www.edealinfo.com/c/20250714230658/BlissLights-Oblivia-Outdoor-Nebula-Cloud-Projector . So you probably grabbed yours there; today’s Meh offer is essentially the same thing, just as a 2‑pack.

@andymand @haydesigner I bought 5 as well - they come with a very strong L shaped bend usb extender, it’s maybe 4 inches long if you bent it straight?
I wouldn’t have bought them without it. FWIW: I got 2G2R1B in my random pack

The old thread about that item https://meh.com/forum/topics/blisslights-sky-lite-20-rgb-projector-w-blue-stars-manufacturer-refurbished-2 provides a link to the .apk file. Probably just a matter of time before it no longer works with current versions of Android, but buyer beware, as @jaz853 has alerted… (FWIW, I could not get it to pair last time I tried, so it might be headed for electronics recycling soon…)
@jaz853 Use the SmartLife app It works flawlessly.
Thanks to today’s email I learned what “djenting” is. Pretty interesting!
No app available for Android. Really might have mentioned that, Meh…
@wwench Use the SmartLife app It works flawlessly.
I cannot find the app!! Scan of QR code on the box doesnt work!!!
@jstornello Use the SmartLife app It works flawlessly.

It works flawlessly. The Bliss apps are absolute buggy garbage
@MaleficentAngel thank you
