Fookin’-L, man. New buyers please. If this is the sort of thing we’ve got to get to ensure it doesn’t sell out for VMPs, then let’s risk VMPs selling out.
BAMBOO PILLOWS!!! CHROMEBOOKS!!! BUT NO SPEAKERS!!!
@elpepe Dang. Love my buckwheat pillows for precisely that reason (conform to your head). Did you try removing some of the filling? Do they heat up like other foam-filled pillows?
Terrible, terrible pillows. Worst thing I’ve ever bought from Meh. Kind of surprised they’re selling them again considering last time. Don’t be fooled. Stay away.
Couple of years ago, stumbled onto TASC Performance gear. Mostly t-shirts, lots of workout gear, some polos, all bamboo blend. That’s they’re thing.
Like buttah. Buttah that never stinks. Silky smooth buttah that you never sweat in.
Over the next couple of years, replaced every t-shirt, undershirt, workout shirt with TASC. Got some on sale, full price for most. Bought 10 v-necks for peejays, a dozen undershirts, maybe two dozen t-shirts. Plus some shorts, boxers.
Personal opinion, way better than Tommy John or Mack Weldon or the rest.
But the thing is … if I were to wear a cotton t-shirt under a bamboo TASC tee, it would totally defeat the purpose.
And since you’re going to stick this in a traditional pillow case, I’m not sure what the benefit is.
I only have their loose fit boxers, not those bike short / boxer / brief thing the kids are wearing these days. So can’t address fit. But the material itself is super breathable. Never sweat.
New Orleans company. And that town needs all the help it can get.
Laying on one right now. Very firm pillows. Put my head on much better, but not for so cheap. You won’t miss them if you pass. Took forever to fluff the stuffing chunks out of rock hard pieces.
@elpepe That’s why they slipped in the word “rayon” in this sales pitch - because that’s what these really are - rayon pillows, i.e. crappy synthetic material pillows. The Bamboo is treated so harshly and processed so heavily the FTC declared that bamboo can’t be a selling point and they have to disclose they’re just crappy rayon. I’m assuming that’s why there’s mountains of these in some warehouse. Costco pulled them, Target cleared them out, no one wants them.
If you ever really, really, wanted to win a pillow fight, these are the pillows for you. As you beat down your pillow foe and they try to shield themselves with a lesser product, you can cackle with delight knowing that since you got two of these you could make it a fair fight… nah, screw that – dual wield!
I got the two pack of king size of these back when they came out a long long time ago. I agreed that they are some of the best pillows I have ever owned. They still have all of their spring. They still don’t smell weird. But you’re going to have to work to get them to inflate, get soft, be usable… like, a lot. And then put them in a cool dryer to tumble for a couple hours…
I got these last time and they suck, even after all the work to fluff them (thanks to the members of these forums for figuring that crap out). After converting them from unusable slabs of memory foam, they’ve become so massive that I can’t rest my head on them without my neck being forced into an almost-90° angle. I wouldn’t give these to my worst enemy or my mother-in-law.
@harveydanger … Your mother-in-law? You should be ashamed…!! ALL mother-in-laws should receive stuff like this from their, “daughter stealing” sons-in-law.
Tonight I’m wearing my parachute pants. I have one of these same pillows that I bought from Frys. The odd thing is, it is pretty hard when you lay on it like most pillows, flat side up. But if you set it on one of the side edges and then lay your head on the other side edge that’s pointing up, it is actually pretty soft and your head sinks all the way down. Just another sign that it’s a crazy world.
I can’t believe you’re selling these again Last time you sent a message to all buyers apologizing for how bad they were. Run, don’t walk, away from these!
@grmeyer Did they? I didn’t get that. I did get this email:
“Hey there,
We’ve noticed a bit of discussion in our forums about the best practices for getting those bamboo pillows you purchased to go from a weird condensed slab of bacon shipping form in to tip top sleeping form. So we thought we’d pass on a few helpful tips.
Our own resident do it all guy, @Moose, suggests making sure that any lumps are broken apart manually and then throwing the pillows in the dryer one by one on a no or low heat setting to allow them to fluff up. If running them through the dryer doesn’t quite get them to where you want, @osodrac found that running the pillows through a delicate cycle in warm water in the washing machine followed by a low heat drying session did wonders. Once that’s done, we’ve heard that these pillows end up feeling pretty soft.
We hope these suggestions help. If you have any questions our community has proven quite helpful on offering up suggestions. Of course you can always reach out to our support team for help as well.
-meh”
I think these pillows are great, but I know others had different experiences.
nuh-uh. I bought into the last set, and although these are packaged properly, there is no way I’d do it again. One of the pillows was soaked in kerosene and took almost 3 hours to burn out (delivering a very satisfying and cathartic experience) and the other was cut open, half of it’s filling removed and put into another case sewn shut, and even then, they suck ass (not int the good way).
Is it just me or do they look pre-inflated in the shown flat rather than rolled up package like last time? In for the last two I hope to ever buy.
jolly-ludicrous-trail
It’s not the firmness that gets me. It’s the flat pizza stones you get when they arrive, then after a wash and dry cycle they’re a barrel of knobbly frumpy mess. Tried sleeping on it one night, my neck did not forgive me. It’s like a foot thick.
These are literally the worst pillows ever made. They smell awful, they are firm in all the wrong ways, they are not comfortable, and all around bad. I cut them open, dumped out the foam mattress leftovers they call padding, and then used the foam cases as padding for some chairs/car seats.
Do not buy these if you want a pillow. Because they are definitely not pillows.
Being a modern panda I am always on the lookout for all things bamboo. That is why I love these Beautyko Bamboo Memory Foam Pillows!!! Imagine sleeping on bamboo!!! A dream come true. Please excuse me I am late for the audition for the new World of Warcraft movie, Warcraft: Midnight Pandaren Express.
In for 4 sets of 2 and of course I got VMP… it’s sweet like fresh bamboo shoots.
I missed these last time around and have been waiting for them to show up again. A bit worried about the comments that they smell bad. Sure hope not. These are to go with m bamboo sheets which I love completely. Here’s hoping.
@Desotom looking at the picture these don’t seem to be the same ones as last time… the last ones were rolled up and tightly compressed (and my guess is they were then stored in shipping containers near mount doom for several months)… these appear to be uncompressed in a zipper carrier bag… also the “bamboo” logo seems to be horizontal on these while the logo on the old ones was the picture above the word. Are they all made in the same factory or are the different? No idea…
Tempting. I use to love feather’ed pillows until recently when I keep having to pick out loose feathers (even with pillow protectors). Plus I hear there are cruel practices involved with animals to get these feathers so I would like to get something else.
It’s pretty “meh-ronic” that the first circuit breaker was tripped for the whiny babies for pillows as they so innocently slept through the night, with dreams of sugar plums and lollypops dancing in their darling, whiny heads. Aren’t they just sooooo cute…at least until they wake up…
@mediocrebot But I am a VMP. You’re forcing me to wait until 4pm? Is that how you treat VMPs?! Are you using my $5 every month to develop more technilogical measures to prevent VMP members from buying when they want to? #RageCancelVMP
/giphy I want it now
Can VMPs access this deal before 4 p.m. EST. If so, how?
BTW I have the king sized version of this pillow. I love it. Just let the pillow grow from its vacuum packed state and let the smell abate (takes maybe a day or two) and it rocks. Apparently it is a love it or hate it product.
@garveydd Nope. You have to wait until 4pm so all VMPs have a “fair” chance at getting one. Set a reminder now.
It’s a new experiment they’re trying to see how it affects levels of butthurt for items that sell out quickly.
@garveydd Thanks for the info. The VMP info on the site is pretty unclear. After reading your responses and some more below, I now understand how this works.
Alright. I own these pillows in the Queen Version (maybe I don’t. Maybe its the same exact pillow.) The pillows are fantastic and have changed my life. I used to be a two pillow sleeper. I’ve now converted to a single pillow dream chaser. This is because of the “fluff” inside the pillows. It’s quite large and someone who doesn’t enjoy a big cushion under their head wouldn’t want to purchase these pillows. My SOS is still warming up after sleeping with a pillow that resembled a piece of laffy taffy more than a pillow for the past few years.
Buy this pillow if: You don’t mind a pillow that doesn’t “break in,” you have big pillow covers that won’t bust at the seams, and your old deal-a-day site still doesn’t know you’ve left it.
Don’t buy this pillow if: You can’t afford it. Seriously. I don’t think your payment will even process.
@packers bad news, you cant buy them. right now the deal is paused and will be unpaused for VMP members only at 4pm, since you are not a vmp member(since yesterday), you cant buy them until next time they are offered for sale.
If you read this, they have a circuit breaker thing happening. First sale starts at midnight, eastern. If too many sell, they pause it again until 8am eastern to let other people try to get a chance. Then if they’re selling a ton, they’ll hold some for the previous VMP members at 4pm. So if you’re not VMP, and didn’t buy at midnight or 8am, you’re out of luck.
Seriously? I was refreshing my screen every couple of seconds starting at 3:59. The “buy one” button popped up and by the time it processed my payment (or, more precisely, didn’t process my payment) they were sold out. Meh - that was not particularly helpful as it caused me to spend all afternoon thinking about buying the best pillow ever (in my opinion - I’ve already got one) only to be shut out. Thanks a lot.
Why would someone want a memory foam pillow in the summer? They are HOT! Now, if it were a similar size pillow made from buckwheat oat groat hulls, it would be awesome! I would be all over that! They are both airy and supportive.
Well, looks like CB1 was a success. I know I checked several times, even poked around the forums a bit. BUT, now that I know how it works, unless I really want whatever “meh” is up for grabs, I’ll just return to my normal one time a day behavior. I suspect that’s what most folks will do.
I see how you are trying to add some value to the VMP membership, but you should probably increase the percentage held back for them, because if it’s set so low that you have a fuku’s chance of buying the item during the exclusive window, it’s not really much of a benefit.
As I think about it, if you wanted to add value to the VMP membership, you should allow them to buy an hour earlier than the main release (yes, even fukus, why not reward those who support you?) If you’re gonna experiment, this seems like a positive way to go rather than making VMP’s wait til last for the sugar.
I’m confused. I checked this afternoon, it said on hold for VMP members. I am a VMP member, but could not buy one. Now in the evening they’re sold out.
And there we go. Now the pillow fight has gone viral!
bamboo pillow wannabes vs vmp vs non-vmp vs those who don’t care, easties vs westies vs fly-over!
Holy. Hell. These are firm. Not firm like “Ah, nice support, I like to sleep on my side” firm, but “wow this couch seat really doesn’t give at all” type firm. This could be used as a car bumper, or possibly to inflict serious pillow fight damage. Not recommended for sleeping.
@Jamison Don’t cut them open; run through the washer on ‘delicate’, then put in the dryer on low for a few hours. If you have any unused tennis balls, put them in also. The compacted memory foam will unstick from its solid clumps and become very soft and fluffy. You may want to manually break apart large clumps, which will then help break apart other clumps. Read the suggestions on the original sale thread. https://meh.com/forum/topics/2-for-tuesday-bamboo-pillows
Fuck these sacks from hell. I’ll piss on them both and return them back to sender after I call my bank and report such fraud. I bought a pillow. This isn’t a pillow. Shame on you MEH.
a rectangular cloth bag stuffed with feathers, foam rubber, or other soft materials, used to support the head when lying down.
synonyms: cushion, bolster, pad; headrest
"his head rested on the pillow"
For the price I thought, what the heck. I could have set my money on fire, then used the smoldering embers for a pillow, and I would have slept better. These pillows were falsely advertised. Just a brick of urethane. Shame on you meh. First the paper thin Moscow mule mugs, now this. Won’t be buying your dregs in the future.
Fyi, this from the sales pitch, is abjectly false:
" You get a pair of standard-size shredded memory foam pillows like everybody’s talking about "
Instead, you get a quite solid brick of foam.
These did come un-rolled so they are pretty fluffed up I didn’t need to de-stick the pieces from another… these are also overstuffed compared to the PCH ones… like really overstuffed… like maybe too overstuffed…
They are pretty tiny as well… and the “bamboo” covers are not zippered like they are on the pch ones.
Got these for lounging pillows for the couch will report back if they are any good once I let the smell disperse.
ok so these are very over stuffed… but they are memory foam so… when lounging with them under the body, once they warm up they give, like most memory foam does… but since they are so over stuffed I have not ever seen them get warm enough under my head to ever give.
I got these and actually like them. I put each in the dryer for 30 minutes on no-heat tumble and they’re great! Yeah, they’re firm as far as pillows go, but I’ve wanted a firm pillow forever.
With the hyperbole ITT, it seems like some people are getting pillows made entirely of salt.
Seriously? Worst pillow ever. I did laugh myself silly reading some of the comments. Almost worth buying these bricks to laugh. I will use them in decorative pillow shams.
I received two nice looking packages with pillow looking things in them. The word Bamboo was prominent on the covers. The covers are nice. The stuffing is equivalent to a 40 lb bag of concrete. Fortunately not set, so it can be moved around a bit inside the cover, but definitely no less firm than concrete in a bag. This might be cheaper.
Man, I read all the comments and suggestions. Dryer with tennis balls. Breaking clumps. Praying for it. Killing people at pillow fights. These things are still hard as strongnomium! It actually pushes my head away from it!
Worst purchase I have ever made. EVER!
/giphy I want to die with feathers
@ELUNO I’m about ready to use my seam rippers to take out half the stuffing. WHY SO MUCH STUFFING??? They could have made 3 pillows with what they shoved into one!
@Barney I wanted to listen to you. I tried listening to you. I just love hard pillows and figured these were perfect. I was the wrongest I could be. I will never doubt you again.
@Barney But how can I read comments when I am clicking so fast to buy? Plus you might be telling us not to buy them because they are white and not purple!
Tried the low heat dryer thing. Still hard as a rock. Punched the shit out of it and still hard as a rock. Ive done everything but rip the seam to take out some of the filling. Worst purchase I’ve made in a while. Pretty disgusted with these.
I tried everything suggested by other buyers and these are by far the worst pillows I have ever had. Want a neck ache? Just use one of these! They are so thick, i don’t see how anyone can actually sleep on them unless you are using it as a body pillow or something.
Got mine a while back, used a lint roller on them and let them air out in the laundry room for a few days. I got lazy and forgot.
When I went to use them I couldn’t find them. Turns out my daughter claimed them and they were in her bed. So I got some protective covers and let her have them.
She told me they’re the best pillows. My kid doesn’t care for pillows that she sinks into right away. Guess I made a good purchase anyway.

Soft sell tonight
@AttyVette You obviously didn’t buy them last time around.
@AttyVette Tainted comment.
these are the best pillows i ever had. but then i like really firm pillows.
these pillows don’t adjust to the shape of your head when you lie on them. your head adjusts to the shape of the pillows.

@cblack It seemed that everyone had strong opinions, both good and bad last time. I really like mine.

Deal paused?? Do u want to sell pillows, or store them? Are u a pillow museum?
-Mike Lindell, inventor of the My Pillow
@packers bad news, you cant buy them. right now the deal is paused and will be unpaused for VMP members only at 4pm, since you are not a vmp member(since yesterday), you cant buy them until next time they are offered for sale.
Says holding back some until 4p.m. Eastern time…only 2:20 eastern time as I write this…what am I missing here?
@havasuflash https://meh.com/forum/topics/or-you-can-please-none-of-the-people-at-all-of-the-times-----1-of-2
@RiotDemon muwhahahaha…I am loving this whole hold back thing!
My question was why are they sold out at 2:20p.m. if they are “holding” some back until 4 p.m…my gray cells are short circuiting…
@havasuflash https://meh.com/forum/topics/or-you-can-please-none-of-the-people-at-all-of-the-times-----1-of-2
If you read this, they have a circuit breaker thing happening.
Many thanks…now I and my little gray cells can go back to doing what we do best…binge watching Leave it to Beaver.
@garveydd I guess this proves that they don’t keep very many for the vmp sale. Makes sense as they want to make sure they sell out.
/giphy distasteful flimsy secretary
Why would someone want a memory foam pillow in the summer? They are HOT! Now, if it were a similar size pillow made from buckwheat oat groat hulls, it would be awesome! I would be all over that! They are both airy and supportive.
@pellucid the same reason you buy air conditioners in the winter and buy heaters in the summer
What gives?
@stiege They had some to sell at 4 EST sharp. Those sold out too.
And there we go. Now the pillow fight has gone viral!
bamboo pillow wannabes vs vmp vs non-vmp vs those who don’t care, easties vs westies vs fly-over!
12:02 am. I actually thought these were shredded bamboo until right now.
VERY firm. Yes indeed. Sleeping pillows? Hmmm. Reading pillows? Yes, ok.
Holy. Hell. These are firm. Not firm like “Ah, nice support, I like to sleep on my side” firm, but “wow this couch seat really doesn’t give at all” type firm. This could be used as a car bumper, or possibly to inflict serious pillow fight damage. Not recommended for sleeping.
Firm like a rock and way too thick for sleeping. No zipper so I’m going to cut mine open and see what can be done to make these usable.
What a crock of shit.
They absolutely need to be modified to make them usable. Could probably make a third from two.
This is almost as bad as the GARBAGE foam rubber mattress woot took me for a ride on a few years back!
OH GREAT. Should be sold saying "Must run through washer, then in your dryer WITH TENNIS BALLS for A FEW HOURS. BULL CHIPS.
@Hathachips The comments from last time these were sold were much more explicit, not to mention bitter.
Fuck these sacks from hell. I’ll piss on them both and return them back to sender after I call my bank and report such fraud. I bought a pillow. This isn’t a pillow. Shame on you MEH.

I’m super glad I skipped this deal.
I don’t know why anyone likes super thick or firm pillows. Hurts my neck.
I think it’s pretty funny that the pillows we fought so hard for are getting such bad reviews.
@sammydog01 If that many people are buying, it must be good!
Comments about its firmness started 3 minutes in, so why some people would assume these are some super squishy soft pillows, I don’t know.
Size reference
Fuck these pillows.
@evan_t what you buy these pillows for is your business.
Seriously? Worst pillow ever. I did laugh myself silly reading some of the comments. Almost worth buying these bricks to laugh. I will use them in decorative pillow shams.
I am doing the same thing now. Absolutely worth it to laugh. Just saw these reviews from the current meh sale link in the description @cheerrein
@looseneck I warned you not to buy these pillows, but did you listen to me? Noooo. Nobody listens to me.
@Barney I wanted to listen to you. I tried listening to you. I just love hard pillows and figured these were perfect. I was the wrongest I could be. I will never doubt you again.
@looseneck I forgive you.
@Barney But how can I read comments when I am clicking so fast to buy? Plus you might be telling us not to buy them because they are white and not purple!
@ELUNO Oh.
Tried the low heat dryer thing. Still hard as a rock. Punched the shit out of it and still hard as a rock. Ive done everything but rip the seam to take out some of the filling. Worst purchase I’ve made in a while. Pretty disgusted with these.
I don’t even mind how hard they are, they’re just too tall. By a lot.
@sammydog01 Yeah, that too. My neck would break if I used it one whole night.
I tried everything suggested by other buyers and these are by far the worst pillows I have ever had. Want a neck ache? Just use one of these! They are so thick, i don’t see how anyone can actually sleep on them unless you are using it as a body pillow or something.
@Diane777 Of all the things I’ve bought on meh, this is by far my worst purchase
@Diane777 Maybe as a body pillow IS the best way to use these. Do they get hot or stay relatively cool?
@compunaut I haven’t used them long enough to be able to tell how their temp is. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
@compunaut it gets hot. If you want a cool pillow don’t get these.
Wow these pillows are hard as concrete. By far my worst purchase on meh.com.
Way to firm to be comfortable. And it gets hot. Not a good pillow for hot days or summer.
I will have to try going HULK SMASH on them and see what happens…
/giphy hulk smash
Got mine a while back, used a lint roller on them and let them air out in the laundry room for a few days. I got lazy and forgot.
When I went to use them I couldn’t find them. Turns out my daughter claimed them and they were in her bed. So I got some protective covers and let her have them.
She told me they’re the best pillows. My kid doesn’t care for pillows that she sinks into right away. Guess I made a good purchase anyway.
@MzSooze Your daughter surely needs more than two! Can I interest you in a pair?!?!
@ELUNO Tempting, not sure if she will have room to sleep in the bed with two more.
Like sleeping on rocks!
Best pillows I ever bought and I bought a lot of pillows. Why all the hate? Anyone got a model number so I can get some more?
