@einrad Me three. Picked this up a few months ago (when it was just one) and it’s been great so far. Works well, travels well, and holds a charge well. My absolute only complaint is that the charging LED is a bit too bright if you have a connected bedroom/bathroom.
I actually had one of these in my hand that I had my phone in at the same time while this loaded. Scary. I mean, it’s okay as far as $12 electric shavers go.
I’m not going to buy this because I already have two, but I came here to say that these are GREAT, and the company’s customer service is even better. I had a loose clip and I wrote them asking for a spare. They sent me A WHOLE NEW TRYM2 with all the attachments.
I cut my hair with this every two weeks and it works great. No pulling or ripping. Clean cuts. Also, I use the 6mm guard to trim my eyebrows.
Buy this.
Also, meh: If you end up with extra parts due to returns or whatevs, I’ll take all the 1.8mm guards you gets your hands on.
I bought one of these on an earlier sale. It does a decent enough job, but it shorted out on the charger shortly after I put it on after nearly completely draining the battery.
Thankfully I was right about at the end of the 90 day mediocre warranty, so they sent me a new one
Got one of these for $14 last time they were on sale. Not sure why you’d want two of these but it is a good deal. I’ve been looking for a shaver that actually works for a long time. Finally!
@katbyter I just bought two, I have one from the last time - I have no complaints and really dont need two more, but figure if they get here in time they are good emergency stocking stuffers… Santa can always use a trim.
damn im so glad I’ve been needing a shaver for weeks and we have this expensive one at home but a new charger costs 25 dollars so I’m glad I got my hands on this
@nicolaspratt Very first time on here they had this shaver I bought it and loved it, it lasted me almost a solid year of shaving off my neckbeard and trimming my beard and um…other places. When they offered it again I bought one for a backup without hesitation. Well when the first one died and I got into the second one the quality of the shave wasn’t the same, an it’s just like you describe Scratchy and rough for sure! I wouldn’t buy it again. I still use it, but not as often and I’m just kind of waiting and watching for a deal on a better one from somewhere .
@TBoneZeOriginal Exactly right, $40/36 months = $1.111/month… much cheaper. Unless all those 10 month comments are exaggerated. But who would do that on Meh?
@pskemp2 Well, I have a sneaking suspicion that spending a little more on one will be a higher quality cut too. Let’s not pretend these cheap-o shavers will be the same experience.
this is not a beard trimmer…Beard trimmers have an assortment of narrow cutting blades for curves and cutouts…ex: Norelco multi groom…so unless you plan on looking like Sasquatch and not stylin’…this is worthless.
Someone put beard trimmer on their Christmas wish list but I’m worried they won’t like changing brands. Better than mediocre reviews: Best Beard Trimmers
This thing uses a very low power and very cheap soldered in Ni-Cd battery and offers zero charging protection circuitry. In other words it could be the best shaver in the world but it has a 12-16 month life-span of usage and charging (if not much shorter) before it fails and can not be fixed.
I bought one of these last time they were here on Meh. I’m still using it, but it’s already started to show its age, starting up really slowly despite being fully charged and well lubricated, and it now frequently grabs and yanks my beard. I left this review on Amazon a little while after I got it.
I bought these back in May - they still work great. Note: Never leave your Trym II to charge more than 8 hours at a time and only charge when necessary. Unlike other clippers - these use Ni-Cad batteries. So you can’t just leave it on the charge and forget it. I usually charge it once every other week before I go to bed and then unplug it in the morning.
I will say the casing cracked slightly - but for $14 (what I paid last time) they are good. If they only used Lithium Ion batteries - these would be much better - even at a higher price.
I have one of these shavers. Actually trimmer is the correct definition. I use it to trim my beard. She likes it too PC police lurking around here? Don’t worry, I’m turning myself in.
Looks decent, but Ni-Cad batteries? No thanks, those things have always been terrible. I remember jacking around with Ni-Cads in the 1980s and swearing off them then. Weak output, finicky charging requirements and relatively short service life.

Manscapers…NOT
Would these work on cats?
@jmhsrv Anything with hair.
@jmhsrv I use mine to trim the Zoe Monster’s furry feet and ears.
One for each hand – you are ambidextrous, right?
Mine works so well that I don’t need another one
@einrad heh came here to say the same thing
@einrad me too. Well worth much more money.

@DaveInSoCal Who did you contact? I have been trying to get a replacement 3mm guard for ages
@LSUTripleC if I remember correctly I did the contact us on their website.

Why do you need two?
One for upstairs and one for downstairs?
@AiraCobra are you talking about upstairs in your house, or… oh… … …
@kadagan :snicker:
@AiraCobra this wins Meh today
Unless following the trim there is a bong and a blitzen, or a smoke and a pancake,or a toke and a tiramisu I’m not interested.
Please don’t sell these to idiots like myself.
I’m not even gonna get into it…
@wew No, really, lets do…

@chr ummm. this’ll work
I have one of these from last time. Pretty good.

@legendornothing I picked up this item for myself from Amazon for $16.45, everday price, Target too. Saw the new stainless model for $50 at Target.

PS, also got this Trym shaver for $14 back on May for my son.
Estimated Arrival: Monday, December 18th - Monday, December 25th
Mine is terrible, scratchy, rough and doesn’t cut well. I don’t recommend buying it.

Randomly checked Meh after staying away for many moons. Damn you, you drew me back in. aloof-raging-spice
Those reviews on Amazon… ouch. Too many people saying their failed after 10 months.
@TBoneZeOriginal So $1.20 a month is not worth it ?
@jmbunkin Not when I can spend $40 for one that will last me several years.
@TBoneZeOriginal Exactly right, $40/36 months = $1.111/month… much cheaper. Unless all those 10 month comments are exaggerated. But who would do that on Meh?

I’ve had mine since June, and have had no problem with them. They do the job quite well (and I shave my head as well as my face. Sometimes.)
/giphy sometimes
I have traditional hair and not ‘modern hair’? Will it work?
@givemehdeal Not a chance, better update your hair and do it soon.
Getting closer to the nose hair trimmer I’m hoping for but still not there.

@SSteve You just need to push it a little harder
Can you shave a little more off the price?
@hchavers Aren’t you a sharp one tonight.
OhMehgerd! I lurv two-fers!
With one in each fist, I can take care of bidness upstairs and downstairs at the same time.
this is not a beard trimmer…Beard trimmers have an assortment of narrow cutting blades for curves and cutouts…ex: Norelco multi groom…so unless you plan on looking like Sasquatch and not stylin’…this is worthless.
How come no pics of II womyn using trym II?
Someone put beard trimmer on their Christmas wish list but I’m worried they won’t like changing brands. Better than mediocre reviews: Best Beard Trimmers
Will this work on my Taint?
@Bumplepimp Anything will if you try hard enough and your heart is pure.
@Bumplepimp Not sure if joking…but it definitely nicks sensitive areas easily…be warned

@fung Yeah…the lack of charge protection was a bit surprising (and disappointing)
Are we sure this isn’t pronounced PETRYM2 (Pet-Trim-too)?
It works so good it takes off hair and skin! I’m older now you see, and the Trym likes that loose skin when I want a closer shave without a guard.
I bought one of these last time they were here on Meh. I’m still using it, but it’s already started to show its age, starting up really slowly despite being fully charged and well lubricated, and it now frequently grabs and yanks my beard. I left this review on Amazon a little while after I got it.

@accelerator Um…you trym your PC?
@accelerator For her vagina? I don’t think we have a PC police here.
@therealjrn No! Don’t be silly. Beard is a slang word.
And Vagina makes me uncomfortable
Broke first time I cleaned it. Cheesy plastic construction.
Looks decent, but Ni-Cad batteries? No thanks, those things have always been terrible. I remember jacking around with Ni-Cads in the 1980s and swearing off them then. Weak output, finicky charging requirements and relatively short service life.
Been thinking of replacing my aging trimmer for a while now. Seems that folks are happy with theirs, so…
