Hey, the poll didn’t update so it’s the same old one from about 8 hours ago. Not sure if others noticed but the question changed a few times throughout the mehrathon but today’s poll is the same as the last question from yesterday.
@therealjrn Maybe you should update your payment information. Do you think the same name and card number associated with 1000 different shipping addresses would attract some attention?
2500mAh?!? Ugh, that’s like a single crappy 18650.
I got a 20,000mAh Aukey for $40 a few years ago and it is awesome. This isn’t worth the desk or backpack space. Plus, RFID blocking?!? ugh, two things that never needed to go together.
So when one of these powerbanks short-out in my pocket it’s now a guarantee that any documents that would identify my charcoaled husk will have been at kept at ground zero?
Cool.
I thought of clearing out the accordion to imbed an electronic board. Does anyone know how big the internal space is sans accordion? The reviews say about 4-6 credit cards with the accordion. I wonder if a Pi Zero or similar would fit without the header? (Or with a little Dremel artistry)
Also input and output are rated at 1A, so that’s a limiting factor as well.
@mehcuda67 Those LiOH batteries hate heat so where’s that going to go? Be careful with that Dremel tool too. LiOH batteries and air don’t mix. Wear eye protection at the very least.
@Kidsandliz Most of us in the US don’t even need RFID protection (right now). Theft through RFID here in the US is quite rare compared to other countries.
@curtisl42 Realize that according to the write up he was only going to help display the “fine” products sold on Meh so I doubt we would have seen him much anyway.
I’ve never seen such impressive Photoshop/MSPaint skills. I found myself actually worrying about Brent when the water started rising. RIP in peace, bro.
Well on the positive side 2- 2500 mAh portable chargers for 10 bucks is a very good deal otherwise they look useless as a wallet.
Just a comment but a professor of mine told me never to trust people with tiny heads such as Brent aka Hunter Ellis, that also extended to people whose eyes were too close. He was usually correct.
After all this blah-blah this one gets a big Meh for reasons stated. I have a 10k mAh someone gave me because they couldn’t figure it out anyway.
Knock it off with the TrackR jokes.I did the 5 for 5 here got a huge pack of CR2016 batteries from Amazon for cheap and one of those dog-gone things saved me a whole lot of misery. I will admit the suggested retail price and their “free” battery for life deal are very cruel jokes.
@Dog19026 That free battery deal is a joke for sure. I have about 10 of those TrakR’s and wanted to get batteries. Let’s you get one at a time so you have to pay s/h for each one separately. For a battery worth about 19 cents, they charge $1.99 s/h.
They don’t tell you about the $1.99 until the last page of the checkout so you have to put in your Name, address, email, and phone first. It should have all this already because you have an account with them that you need to create for these things to work. Just a sneaky way to market “Free” battery.
I just bought a 15 pack through aliexpress for $2.84 with free shipping.
Product sucks. Highly disappointing. Neither 1 will even charge a phone 20% above what power it already has. Used both of them fully charged got 1 phone to 46%
SAVE YOUR MONEY!
I ordered 2 for Tuesday. Good price but 1 was difficult to open. I sent a message via the “Need help” function but got no help or answer. I don’t know the return process and now I may be too late.

Nope, these look gangster
Poor Brent, he was cute too!
/giphy hello sailor
Well, Goodnight everybody.
Would these fit reasonably in a front pants pocket?
@pat4ever Sure, if these are your pants.
If nobody buys these, they will end up in those IRKs.
@cengland0 There won’t be any space after the TrackR’s have been poured in.
Because my wallet isn’t thick enough yet?
I was just thinking I need a bout of sciatica. Now I can share it with a friend.
Thanks meh!
@mehcuda67 That’s why you get two: One for each pocket! I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure it’ll actually help align your spine.

@cengland0
Hey! Thanks meh! I now have C.F. Frost’s credit card number thanks to the product pictures! This will really help out on the old budget!
@therealjrn Maybe you should update your payment information. Do you think the same name and card number associated with 1000 different shipping addresses would attract some attention?
@mehcuda67 Naw…if they ask, I’ll just tell them I travel a LOT.
2500mAh?!? Ugh, that’s like a single crappy 18650.

PASS
Just like George’s wallet, but instead of a filing cabinet, you’ve got an IED under half your ass.
@Aspirant_Fool That’s why you get two - so you won’t be half-assed.
So when one of these powerbanks short-out in my pocket it’s now a guarantee that any documents that would identify my charcoaled husk will have been at kept at ground zero?
Cool.
Do I see a mini-USB charging port for the power bank? Which archeological dump was this fished out of meh?

@mehcuda67 pi zero with right angle headers might even work
@mehcuda67 You may have a winning idea there. If not a Pi then maybe a cmoy headphone amp. The power source is right there.
@mehcuda67 Those LiOH batteries hate heat so where’s that going to go? Be careful with that Dremel tool too. LiOH batteries and air don’t mix. Wear eye protection at the very least.
Research I have seen indicates that most of these that claim RFID protection actually don’t protect.
@Kidsandliz Most of us in the US don’t even need RFID protection (right now). Theft through RFID here in the US is quite rare compared to other countries.
@Kidsandliz @theonlybuster and cards with RFID are rare. None of mine have it. Those that do have that little “tap and pay” logo.
I’m pretty sure “Brent” is actually Hunter Ellis, a military vet who frequently hocks various “tactical” gear on TV.
Although, he does also sort of resemble “Brent” from Season 4 of The Good Place. So there is that.
Anyway, I already have a more than adequate 10,000 mAh Anker PowerCore battery, so I’m going to pass on this deal.
Think of all the water 2 of these would hold.
I’m gonna miss Brent, poor guy.
@curtisl42 Realize that according to the write up he was only going to help display the “fine” products sold on Meh so I doubt we would have seen him much anyway.
Wow, this has garbage ratings. I feel like meh has been way more meh than usual the last few months
I’ve never seen such impressive Photoshop/MSPaint skills. I found myself actually worrying about Brent when the water started rising. RIP in peace, bro.
RIP Neil Peart
Those of us not endowed with large butt cheeks would find this a little lop-sided.
@Bumplepimp there was a kid in my elementary school who had only one butt cheek. No one ever discussed it. Maybe he grew up and invented this.

Nothing says great design like adding an explosive lithium battery to a huge uncomfortable wallet to thoroughly destroy your bum. Bravo.
@gflwookie Do you ever put your phone in your pocket? Same issue, right?
Integrated charging cable would be a plus.
is it fart proof?..asking for a friend…
Jeez, it was ages that I’ve not seen such ugly design. And I come to meh daily. Wow.
bought before reading the thrash reviews on amazon. Hope it’s just slightly trashy.
Sweet - I’ve always wanted a wallet that held much less stuff, but weighed ten times as more!!!
Wait a minute! The discription says it does not include phone charger. I thought is was a phone charger…and a wallet. What gives???
I need to recharge my wallet, not the phone. Next time please have a wallet charger not the wallet with the charger.
@avante296 Great thought!
Stop carrying your wallet in your back pocket. It is terrible for your alignment when you sit on it
@riceatusc Yep.
Hate to keep ragging on whoever took over the PhotoShop station, but what the heck? If I put this in my pocket, will it slice through my butt too?
Will these work for USB-c ports?
0.35 lbs?! Over a third of a pound! You want me to wear a belt and suspenders? Never. How do you trust a can’t trust his own pants?
Update: I’ve received and it’s bad.

Follow up. After reading the above reviews I have to agree that this is a poor product. I’d return both if I could.
