@ConcealedPsycho@hchavers Wait! Hol up here! I’ve been coming to this place since nearly day one and they’ve sold me a lot of dodgey shit but there was nothing I considered straight up fraud. I’ve also been very happy with other goods.
Now that I look around my house, I’ve probably spent USD $1K and I only have a decent knife I’ve gotten a lot of use from. This is starting in 2013. Wtf am I doing? I’ve sent a couple decent gifts as well. Ugh.
Can anyone else attest to these claims about this tennis bracelet? Fake af?
@hchavers@w_a_w nope. For one Carat? Even a low grade diamond this is a decent deal. Usually these go on sale for $199-$250. For $99 it must look like SHIT. OH WELL, Got one for the wife. More costume jewelry - not for high end use. More like for the beach , casual stuff. Daily usage.
@hchavers@w_a_w Well all I can say guys and gals is if this is not real diamonds than MEH will be sued to all hell and back. They’re too much of an honest straightforward company to pull that kind of shit. These are definitely real diamonds. They’re actually not even that low grade of a diamond. Don’t get me wrong they’re not high grade at all they’ll have inclusions & definitely cloudy with imperfections but they are, real!
Concerning my comment that I have a bunch of cheap shit I haven’t used from here: looked through my purchases and there are actually a lot of things I love and use daily. Top couple things: 2x different couple of Ray Bans. Great bedsheets. Espresso maker. Great story about the espresso maker: it was $68. Straight out not the box it started peeing all over our counter. Sent it back to Mr. Coffee. They emailed a few weeks later and said they were out of the model and would we like a $375 model. Yes, please! Thing is absolutely amazing. Cappuccino, latte, and espresso. We grind fresh espresso grounds at Fresh Market or Sprouts. It literally makes the best I’ve ever had. A little Bailey’s doesn’t hurt either. Cheers, Meh!
I live where tornados blew through last night and was very grateful for some of my Meh crap. Power banks to keep my phone charged and that little hex light thingy for starters. Ate waaay too many of those Jules Destrooper cookies though.
@ConcealedPsycho I can’t say for 100% fact, since I do not have the bracelet in hand. I can however say that everything for sale on Amazon from this company (DiamondMuse)is labeled as “fashion jewelry” and says they are white or yellow “flash plated” brass. Also, their s-link bracelet looks nothing like that one, you can see here for yourself.
@hchavers@w_a_w I bought a similar one months ago on SideDeal or MorningSave, cannot recall which, and the diamonds are real, but cloudy and icky. Would advise against it - the photo is 100x nicer here than the actual item.
I meant to say that I3 (noticeably included), J(meh)-color, 3-pt diamonds, in silver, make for neither a bargain nor a fraud at this price. It’s probably “real,” and it probably sparkles. It just won’t be wonderful.
7.25" is medium-to-large-ish for a woman’s bracelet. Unlikely to fall off, unlikely to be too snug, but might not be a 100% perfect fit. It’s jewelry; everything is in the perception of the wearer.
@Gutterpunkz When I worked at a pawn shop, the value would be based only on the weight of the gold. We wouldn’t buy a silver bracelet by itself. We might buy silver if there was some gold or something else of value in the same transaction.
We only paid for diamonds that weighed more than a carot each.
A carot of diamond dust isn’t worth enough to justify the paperwork. Pawn shops in other areas may have different rules.
@hamjudo yea i used to manage a shop like 12 years ago. Thats what i was saying because the description cracked me up. A pawn shop MAY take it but only for scrap weight of silver and for 925 might get 10 bux an oz
Huh?!?! Zales description of this says: ( I’m not at all trying to discourage anyone from buying this here for a really nice gift, am just confused by that).
"This item is electroplated with rhodium or finished with an e-coating. These finishes may wear off with frequent use. "
@sawaustin@scfd0766 it’s very common for white gold and silver to be rhodium plated. Yea it wears off, but you can easily have it reapplied. The rhodium plating gives it a brighter color. White gold and silver have a slight yellow tint when not plated.
Technically, Sterling is nearly pure silver; the minimum percentage required in order to meet the definition varies from one country to another, but here in the US it’s minimum 92.5% silver, with up to 7.5% copper and/or other metals. Count on it not being 100%, though; absolutely pure silver is a right royal pain in the ass to work with, because it work-hardens so damn fast that you sometimes can’t complete a bend before it goes stiff. (Even Sterling work-hardens fast, but it’s far less aggravating.)
Yes, mine says Dec. 20th - but I had a problem twice recently with my MEH order never shipping & so am watching this one extra close. Anyone else getting orders that never ship, & then are suddenly just cancelled & refunded? I’ve also got cookies out there right now that made it all the way to Orlando, & now are somehow back in Texas.
@seraphimcaduto - Just sent out my support ticket. I REALLY need this order to deliver … but not feeling very hopeful about it right about now. Would be REALLY nice if they let all of us know what is going on - they sold over 700 of these things!
Got a response from support confirming that my deliver date is tomorrow but hasn’t shipped yet and it might be late…Yeah I don’t care about any credits, hell I offered to pay EXTRA for shipping. It wouldn’t be so bad if there was a notice that it was delayed, because I could have planned for a different gift for my wife from the kids.
I’m done with MEH…don’t make everyone believe they will receive this on December 20th, then not ship. MEH should send out a message to everyone who ordered this and give an update. That is customer service!
Last time I order from meh, this is pathetic. Ordered ten days ago, said it was expected to be delivered TODAY, still hasn’t shipped. Meh support was useless. Terrible customer service. Estimate or scammy lie, you decide…
For those unaware, shipping times from meh.com can be quite variable. Placing an order here and expecting it on a certain date, especially a $100 1.0 carat diamond and sterling silver bracelet for Christmas ordered a couple weeks before, well, you might be disappointed. You might have better luck thinking of meh as a site where you get a good deal, forget that you ordered it, and get a surprise a month or so later. Sometimes shipping can be quick. Just don’t bet on it.
In general I agree but to sell something like this 2 weeks before Christmas with an estimated arrival date (not a range of dates) before Christmas is baiting people to buy this as a Christmas present. 9 days to deliver is a reasonable amount of time even for a discount site and while my shipping times from Meh tempered my expectations it’s understandable people are mad.
@meh_mod they gave a date. They could have given any date, chose one that they missed, and have no update nor explanation. I only expected it to be a small purchase arriving before Christmas because that’s what they said. Normally I do bet on trusting what the seller says is the case: In stock, out of stock, on sale until a certain time, and of course shipping times to your given address with shipping options presented by delivery dates they provide vs the shipping costs.
@meh_mod This has nothing to do with shipping times as it hasn’t even been shipped yet. So quit making excuses and give us what we paid for, when you said it would be here. This will be the last time I give your company any money.
For me personally it’s more of a matter of trust. Meh said that it would sell me this for $$$ & that I would have it on this date. Now I feel like I am chasing them for my purchase, which they seem to have forgotten all about.
I assume most of people who bought this (including me) as x-mas gift for someone.
Today is expected delivery date, and this thing is not even shipped yet.
What a bogus.
Probably my last time spending money on meh.
@ChadP Most of us have been around for long enough to realize that, however it is very rare that you’re items don’t ship by the estimated delivery date, meh-athon excluded. The most surprising issue from any of us is that you are usually on top of this, notifying of longer than expected delays. Typically in your descriptions, meh also goes out of their way to say when to not expect it for a particular holiday, so many of us assumed that it would be something to make it in time for Christmas. I know in my case I would be more than willing to pay extra for shipping for it to be here by Christmas, but I’m not going to speak for anyone else here. It’s a rare flub on meh’s part.
Yesterday evening it was marked as shipped. It seems odd it doesn’t link to any tracking information there though. Yesterday afternoon (a few hours earlier) a response to my request for an update noted that it is shipped and provided a USPS tracking number.
I don’t quite understand the meaning of how USPS presents tracking progress though:
December 20, 2021, 6:07 pm
Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending
SECAUCUS, NJ 07094
Your shipment was received at 6:07 pm on December 20, 2021 in SECAUCUS, NJ 07094. The acceptance of your package is pending.
December 20, 2021, 4:11 pm
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item
CARROLLTON, TX 75010
Does that mean a label was created in TX but the package is being picked up in NJ, and it hasn’t been picked up there yet?
Or does it mean that the package was sent from TX to NJ leaving at ~6pm and that when it arrives in NJ it’ll get updated again?
@riskybryzness I believe I did mention it in the latest support request but it’s more that I hate chasing and tracking down support on my off time. Honestly this is the biggest issue I’ve ever had with meh; you guys are usually on top of this, notifying me if there is a problem without having to track you down.
Still no signs of my order - do we have any pictures? My sweet granddaughters are ages 15 and 13 & they are quite slender so far as wrist sizes go. But geeze; even at their young ages, I still wouldn’t ever dream of giving them something butt ugly as a memory maker for Christmas. Pictures please, somebody!
I also got a really shitty bracelet that doesn’t look anything like the S-link bracelet. Don’t expect anything decent coming. The support reps say “with all due respect the quality is a matter of opinion and we listed clarity” but this thing looks like it wouldn’t be caught dead at a convenience store clearance rack. They also want me to pay return shipping of course! Purple pouch was the best part of the delivery.
Oh, that is just NASTY looking! Seriously - sparkley? I wouldn’t even pitch that in the Goodwill box! Not only would I never willingly buy or gift that, if somebody gifted it to me I would definitely think they hated my guts!
I haven’t received my product yet.
But looking at the pictures people posted, that is definitely scam.
It doesn’t look anything like the product on the picture.
I have no idea when I’m going to receive it but I’ll post update once I receive actual product.
It’s not a scam, we’re just now seeing the extent of this with incorrect items. As I’ve said above, if there’s an issue with your order, please write to us and as always, we’re happy to get this fixed.
I just got the junk bracelet. What a joke. Well, so much for a nice stocking stuffer for Christmas.
May need to think about ordering anything in the future.
So, are they going to make this right? I’m sitting here with a piece of junk, and they have my money.
How do I return this? I have a ticket number, but really, this is ridiculous.
@Mrephunk what email
Do I send photos to?! What was sent is a complete piece of garbage and does
Not even resemble what was advertised. This is absolutely rubbish. I am for sure unsubscribing after this.
@bhall1121 you can post them here and then send a link to the comment through the Support Form.
Or send them here email@example.com, I’m just not sure if attachments might get stripped from messages sent there.
Ticket in to find out status on 20th, & Meh support supplied tracking # in e-mail reply initiated on 21st. Sounds like there are many like myself for whom this was a major player gift, as opposed to those lucky enough to only need it as a stocking stuffer. Just received update from USPS advising that anticipated delivery will be on the 26th by 9:00 p.m. I am saddened by hearing that we are going to be sure to get a 1ct if we ordered a 1 ct. As that was the only option, kinda goes without saying - but also like saying you’re gonna get that gallon of milk you ordered from the store, and it’ll be milk … even if it’s been the consistency of cottage cheese for over a month now. Carat weight, length of bracelet, quality of silver, & all bits there & working - a piece of “sparkly” jewelry that’s advertised as fancy enough for day thru evening wear & and “tremendous value for the money” still also needs to satisfy those visual and value descriptions in order to be the item we purchased as described.
I received the “other” bracelet today. I would have preferred the S link style I actually ordered as the tennis bracelet style accentuates the cheap diamonds. I’m already communicating with Support but just commenting for anyone keeping track.
@j37hr0 oh that looks so nice. Only wished that one of the three that arrived from my order was exactly correct like that nice looking bracelet. Three cheap low quality o linking style bracelets is what arrived for me yesterday. It was a lesson to never expect anything of decent quantity to arrive from meh.
I posted earlier that the bracelet did not arrive. I checked my mailbox a couple of hours later and the bracelet was there. Came on Christmas eve, just on time. Good thing do happen… Merry Christmas everyone!
Um came here to acknowledge that what was received was something that was not as expected. Apparently, eye am not the only one who has received something of different sort. There is no S linking design. Bought 2 than 1 more just cause the price could not be resisted. Now, the bait n switch tactic is on pure display once the order arrived and this was going to be a gift. Eye can not emphasize enough was going to be a gift if it was actually what it was supposed to be. No box, zip bag with small cloth protector which screams low quality gas station display case. Shame on me for believing a meh item would not be a flea market swap. Eye will eat this and learn from my damn mistake.
So this bracelet with completely cloudy diamonds is supposed to be comparable to one at Zales that retails for $1069 marked down to $499 dollars. I seriously wouldn’t pay $25 for this piece of garbage. I didn’t even have the heart to give it to my daughter today. It looks like an afterthought last item left in the jewelry counter at Wally world. I wasn’t expecting much, but man did you way under deliver. Shame on you.
Well; I did end up receiving my order just as we were leaving the family get-together. They are all the wrong setting, being round as opposed to S-Link, one is damaged, and are definitely not even close to looking as visually described – ie: there is NO sparkle to be found in these stones. I did relay the story & offer my granddaughters the choice; their response being several “eeewwws” & “yucks”, with my step-grandaughter sadly correctly describing them as looking like they are set with “lumps of snot” instead of stones. One bracelet is shorter than the other by one segment, & one won’t open at all, being completely jammed shut somehow. The quality of these bracelets is seriously non-existent, & they are nowhere near the item as described up for sale. Ie: I couldn’t gift these away, nor would I wish to, & I sure would never want to wear anything that looks like them myself – they are just that bad! I have amended my original ticket regarding no shipping to now reflect a request for refund instructions.
FRIX: - Yeah; looks just like mine of the same type - not S-link, for starters … but wait, there’s more! Check each to make sure the clasps work - one of mine is completely jammed shut. Then count the segments - one of mine is shorter. Lastly; do your “sparkly diamonds” look like little lumps of pale yellow plastic? If you say yes to all these, you just might want to reconsider gifting those.
Well eye provided pictures both through email response to the original contact link mercatalist Ariana responded to and again through an actual email referencing a particular ticket # which was sent a day or 2 after the direct email response. It has been over 3 days ago and now going on day 4.
Eye am not one to complain as it was my own stupid mistake to ever expect quality from morning save jewelry. Eye get it. Yet why even say contact customer support for questions regarding product. Just to leave those questions unanswered is even upsetting me more than the actual purchase itself. Figured it’s the Holidays. If Meh needs my funds that desperately than they really could just keep the sale as it was. Eye am good. Eye will just add jewelry to the long list of what to not buy from meh nor its affiliates.
I contacted support to find out what the deal was with the return label for the “items” that were sent. They said there would be no return labels sent out, however, there was no mention of when the correct items would be shipping out. Anyone heard anything regarding replacements?
Ended up getting something that looks different. No idea what was shipped to me and MEH is not responding. It looks like a tennis bracelet. No idea what carat or quality or anything. Not one document was shipped with it. Prolly fake and I just got screwed. Never again Meh you pile of rotten crap. You got TONS of emails about the mistake with this and didn’t reach out to any customers letting them know the mistake and their choices.
FRAUD. I’ll be filing a report with my local attorney generals office consumer protection division.
