Look, we could fill your earcups with honeyed words about this SteelSeries Fnatic Headset. We could sing the praises of its 50mm drivers, and its two sets of interchangeable cushions you can swap out depending on how much meatspace noise you want to filter out. We could point out that they were created with/for the Fnatic professional videogaming team, and assure you that you don’t reach the stage where you get paid to play video games without very particular tastes in gear. We could even point out how expensive these usually are, and let the implication of high quality do the rest.

But let’s just not play this game. Either you know a lot about gaming headphones, in which case you already know all this. Or you don’t know a lot about gaming headphones, and you’ll just have to take our word for it. There’s really only one thing that everybody knows for sure about this situation:

We’re in this to make money. So you can’t trust what we have to say. That’s why we have real talk in our forums. Sure, every customer has his or her own biases, motivations, and limitations, they’re generally not trying to pry a buck out of your fist.
