The Whodunnit Gang and Jack the Pumpkin Man: a Meh-rathon
Uncle Victor wiped his brow.
“If you’re feeling peckish, feel free to have a bite,” he said. “It’s just through there in the mess hall.”
Bushy and Tooley rushed off through the door Uncle Victor had indicated.
“Soon that place will live up to the name, with those two,” Delilah said.
“How do you mean?” asked Uncle Victor.
“Let them around a bunch of food, and you’re sure to have a mess,” Delilah said.
Uncle Victor laughed half-heartedly.
“Now, I have some work to get done, but why don’t you kids have a look around,” Uncle Victor said. “Whether or not the Halloween party happens, we certainly have some exciting specimens.”
