Mr. Vernon didn’t think things through.
It wasn’t a good idea to distribute bartender kits to children on Halloween. It was an even worse idea to hand them out with the cocktail shakers full of cocktail to prove they “worked.”
Then again, one should expect this kind of logic from Mr. Vernon. After all, he’d sampled quite a few of the cocktails himself, to prove they worked, and so wasn’t thinking very clearly.
