Basic (but Good)

It’s just an alarm clock radio.

Okay, it’s also a bluetooth speaker. But we want to focus on the radio bit. Because, damn, listening to the radio can be really nice!

Of course there are times when you want something specific: that fresh new album that just dropped by your favorite musician, the latest episode of an exciting new true crime podcast. But when that album starts to feel a bit stale, or you’re out of new episodes, and you’ve gotta fold laundry, you’re either gonna waste a bunch of time trying to find something to listen to, or you’re going to listen to something you don’t care about.

In which case, wouldn’t it be better to listen to some classic rock or NPR?

You can do that with this alarm clock radio, thanks to its FM (and only FM) tuner! (Also, to be clear, you can listen to a new album or podcast too, because it has bluetooth connectivity.)

The other thing it can do? Wake you up.

Which, to be honest, isn’t very impressive. Just about anything can wake you up these days. The problem is: not many things can only wake you up. Like, your phone, for example. You can set an alarm and it’ll go off. But once it goes off, you’ll be checking your email, and seeing if you missed anything in the group chat last night, and looking into waiver wire pick-ups for your fantasy team, and watching TikToks, and doing a whole bunch of other stupid shit before you’ve even so much as gotten out of bed.

This will wake you up, and that’s it.

Well, okay, fine. As stated above, it can also play the radio and be used as a bluetooth speaker. Did we mention it will charge your phone via USB? Yet, none of these things involve losing the first few waking moments of your day to staring at a screen. And we consider that a win.

What we’re saying is: it’s just an alarm clock radio. And we think that’s pretty cool.
