Contour Rest 3-in-1 Insta Cool Standard Gel Pillow

  • A pillow that is contoured to support your head, neck, and sense of self worth
  • Has a layer of “cooling gel” that seems to actually do its job
  • Not sure what the “3-in-1” business is all about, TBH
  • As memory foam pillows often are, it’s on the smaller size (19” x 11”) compared to “normal” pillows.
  • Model: None (Why gild the lily when you’ve crafted a product name as perfect as “Contour Rest 3-in-1 Insta Cool Standard Gel Pillow”? It stands majestically on its own)

As Cool As Cool-Slumbers

When does a gimmick prove useful enough to be considered a feature?

Foam sleeping products have a persistent problem with temperature control. That is, they tend to get too hot. Manufacturers add all kinds of “cooling features” to combat this problem, but they are often mere hand-waves that fail to address the problem. Gimmicks, if you will.

It seems, however, like the “cooling gel” in these foam pillows actually accomplishes what it purports to. We sold them previously and those who bought them corroborate.

That gel layer really does make the back of your head stay totally cool.

Says one Meher.

The one I got for the cat has been mostly rejected. She will sit next to it, but not on it.

Says another, by which we can deduce (along with the well-known feline love of warmth) that the gel really does keep it cool. It’s no gimmick, it seems.

Don’t worry: If you’re trying to save money and are looking for another excuse to hit “Meh” instead of “Buy It,” we can help you. These pillows (like lots of these foam contour ones) are pretty small. So if you like to roll your head across vast swaths in the night, you will find them lacking.

But if you were looking forward to deriding the cooling gel as nothing but gimmickry, you’ll have to wait. Don’t worry, we sell products featuring useless gimmicks regularly. You won’t have to wait long.
