Love the Holidays: a Meh-rathon
Christine took her laptop out of her Case Logic Bag at the coffee shop.
Another Christmas without love, she typed on her blog, which was apparently her job that earned her enough to afford an apartment in the city.
Just then, a man who looked like a catalog model walked up to her table. “Would you sign my petition to save the pine tree at Saint Martin’s Square?”
“Oh gosh,” Christine said. “I love that tree. I visit every year with my grandmother.”
“Yeah, they’re going to take it down unless I get enough signatures,” the man said, charmingly. “I just wish there was a way to spread the word. Perhaps by using the internet? But I wouldn’t know where to start with that.”
