- Habanero’s heat! Lime’s refreshing acidity!
- {Whispering} Also… cilantro
- Big delicious bowls of painfully spicy ramen
- But you can tone down the spice by adding less of the sauce
- This brand received top ratings amongst many brands from Babish in this video (This flavor is reviewed at 29:50)
- Best by 9/13/24, but they’re good for many months after
- Can it make a margarita: Nope, but it is probably the most appropriate flavor to be accompanied by a margarita, at least that we’ve sold
Spicy, Citrusy
Alright! A new fun flavor of everyone’s favorite ramen! Habanero Lime! LET’S FRIGGIN’ GO!
Although, wait. What’s that we spy on the lid?
Could it be another ingredient? A little green sprig of something not included in the flavor’s name, but whose presence in the bowl is nonetheless made clear here…
…and also here?
That’s right, friends. This stuff’s got cilantro in it. Which we make a point to mention because this is either a) a selling point if you’re someone who loves cilantro, or b) a huge turnoff if you’re someone who hates cilantro.
Oh, sorry, excuse us. Not a hater, but someone with:
a variation in a group of olfactory-receptor genes that allows them to strongly perceive the soapy-flavored aldehydes in cilantro leaves.
That’s from Britannica. Is it real? Yes. Has it emboldened a number of haters whose distaste has nothing to do with their olfactory-receptor genes? Probably also yes.
But the point stands: some love it, some revile it.
And really, the reason we’re focusing on the cilantro bit is because this is a newer flavor, so we don’t have much to fall back on like we usually do. And also, because, look, whenever we sell this stuff, people buy it in bunches, regardless of the flavor.
So please: prove us right. Buy it in bunches.
