We've Created A Monster

Anyone else getting tired of the same old monsters. Dracula? More like Drab-ula! Zombies? A bunch of real zom-bozos! Werewolves? Get-the-hell-outta-here, wolves! Enough with the masked killers using gardening implements, with the typical ghosts and ghouls, and enough with the clowns! No, it’s about time we forge a bold new direction in horror. I’ve even roped in our own resident monster-sculptor @KoolHandJoe for his expert opinions on the matter. Let’s see what we’ve got.

A dripping sound comes from another room. From the ceiling to the floor, a red, semi-viscous liquid is slowly falling in droplets into a large puddle. At first, one might think it blood. But blood is overdone. We’ve seen enough blood in horror. No, this is merely paint. But you wouldn’t know it without closer examination. Cautiously, an investigator sticks a finger into the puddle, coating the tip of their index finger with the liquid. Staring intently, they squeeze it between their index finger and their thumb, assessing its qualities. They quickly conclude it is nothing but red paint. Yet before they can say anything, a red-coated arm reaches up from the ground and grabs their leg. More hands emerge from the red, dragging the investigator down backwards. Both the flailing, crimson limbs and the investigator disappear inside the puddle. We’ve got ourselves a monster that moves through paint.
