Why is this hard?

For all of the technological magic and limitless access to information built into modern cell phones and tablets, those things sure suck at the pretty basic task of propping themselves up where you want them to be.

Imagine going back a few decades and asking someone what problem was more likely to be solved in the near future: making a supercomputer fit in a pocket or reading a dinner recipe at eye level. They’d find it wildly hard to believe that we can instantly access every television show ever created but that dropping the amazing show-watching device on your own face while viewing in bed would be a pretty common thing.

There’s like one phone from Samsung or somebody that gives you a single sad little leg that pops out of the back to hold the phone at a reasonable viewing angle.

That’s it.

That’s the sum total of ergonomic technology built into phones and tablets.

Well, screw that. Maybe Apple won’t come up with a non-awkward way to scroll through TikTok videos on the couch because they’re too busy with innovations like screens that don’t turn off, but that doesn’t mean you have to take it lying down.

Unless you want to be lying down. Because with today’s deal you can lie down and still have your phone pointed precisely at your face. Or you can stand up and have your phone pointed precisely at your face. You can slouch halfway over and have your phone—you get the idea.

Cooking in the kitchen or doing a video conference or making a video of some stupid dance challenge where the angle needs to be just right? This will do that.

It works with phones. It works with tablets. And you get two of them.

But seriously, shouldn’t your device just hover in place by now??
