You’ve got grand plans for 2018. You’re going to read 2 books a month, do 24 pushups every day, and earn enough money to buy the car of your dreams. The only problem with those plans is that they’re not going to happen.

Which is why we recommend downsizing all of your goals and resolutions by a factor of 24, starting with these 1:24 scale RC cars.

What’s better, failing at your goal of buying a brand-new full-size Lambo by the end of the year, or immediately succeeding at your new goal of buying a 1:24 scale Lambo?

And reading 2 books per month? Come on. Divide that by 24 and you got yourself an achievable goal: Read 1 book this year.

Doing 24 pushups every day might sound doable, but that’s 8,760 pushups total. That’s probably more than you’ve done in your entire life up to this point. Set yourself up for success and divide that goal by 24 — just 1 pushup every day.

Planning to run a marathon in 2018? Try 1.09 miles instead. It’ll be way more fun.

Drink 3 cups of water every day? Try 1/24th of that instead: Just a shot glass of water.

We set ourselves a goal of writing 5,000 words every day this year, but that’s also too ambitious. If we scale that by by a factor of 24 we’re looking at something like 200 words per day. And hey, we’ve already hit that by writing about these RC cars. Better stop before we over-achieve.
