“Listen up, buddy,” Bob said into the receiver. “I got your damn drive, so now find someone else to play your weird little phone games with, got it? Because I have a lot to do today, you understand?”
The line was silent, and for a moment Bob felt satisfied. He’d managed to send the caller into a shocked silence.
But the voice that eventually spoke was not who he’d expected.
“Mr. Anton, this is Greg from reception,” the man said. “I was just calling to let you know that your wife is down here.”
