10-Pack: VegoBears Organic Malibu Gummy Bears (3.5oz)
35 ounces total (2.19lb)
That’s $2.29 per pound!
- Not gummies that get you high
- Gummies you get when you’re high… in the air (like, in a Delta aircraft)
- Here’s a compilation of the feedback we got from customers the last time we sold these
- Best by December 7, 2024 - formatted as 7/12/24 because they’re European but the same as 12/7/24 in the US. (See Candy People’s FAQ for more info)
- “Best By” does not mean expired – these will still be good at least through the holidays!
- Can they make a margarita: you know, someone should really melt a few down and use the result in a cocktail… for science
On The [Ve]Go
If you’re like, “Where have I seen these VegoBears before?” there’s a simple answer. Well, actually, there are two simple answers. Maybe you saw them when we sold them here, previously. But, more to the point, you might recognize them from flying Delta.
Or so we learned from a quick Reddit search for ‘VegoBears’: most of the results are from the Delta subreddit.
Here’s a good one from u/CTRexPope:
To the poster who originally talked about these gummy bears as the best snack: my gods thank you! I don’t usually like sugary sweets like gummy bears, but these are sublime and not too sweet at all!
Down that thread, you’ll find a whole bunch of equally excited comments. Like this:
I will sometimes upgrade just for the VegoBears.
And this:
Just discovered these on a flight last week and I’m OBSESSED. How are they so good?? And I’m not even a big sweets person (like you).
And this:
This is my Delta joy right here.
And herein lies the danger. What happens when you take an air travel treat home?
In our experience, it doesn’t ruin the treat. Sure, there are some things people savor at cruising altitude that they barely touch when ground-bound. Like tomato juice for example, or coffee that’s basically just hot water with three drops of brown food coloring in it. But other things land just fine. Like, Bischoff cookies. Or these VegoBears.
The problem is, it could ruin your next flight. After all, air travel sucks. So having a few things that are ‘plane treats only’ makes sense. Reserving them solely as a reward for packing, going through security, and navigating the airport dulls the pain of the experience just slightly. And you don’t want to lose that.
Then again, it seems like these are only available in Comfort+ or even first class? So maybe not much of a risk for most of us.
Anyway, buy some gummies.
