@osiris3mc I checked at BJs Wholesale and for the storage versions, it's $8.49 for 144 gallon bags and $8.49 for 248 quart bags. ($8.49 / 144 * 68) + ($8.49/248 * 88) makes it worth $7.02 at BJs any day of the week so it's not really that good of a deal on Meh today.

Sorry. More sorry for the bird. There was a big thing about what they are finding in birds recently. I have been reading way too much of it and feeling guilty opening up milk cartons/bottles w/ the plastic rings and lids on them.
It's gross and sad, but it's also amazing that the birds eat that stuff. They said in a few years all seabirds will have plastic in them. Maybe pictures like this are what we need to figure out some better ways ?

Re : your purchase -- -- Reuse and recycle. And don't feel too bad. It's hard to avoid plastic these days.

@ceagee I've seen the pictures, especially when I research the impact of plastic on the environment. Forcing a graphic image into a product thread is... over the top for me. Reminds me of the pro-lifer flyers outside of high schools.

I do not feel it is the same as a pro lifer pamphlet. #ouch. I am not any kind of zealot. Just a bit of a science geek.

Study published in National Academy of Sciences 8/31/15 ( linked for your interest --in case you missed since you stated you research such things. No pictures at link) News coverage by reputable science mags had the photos. To me it is science, not propaganda. It is topical and connected to product.

That said, I do realize that the general vibe of meh leans toward light hearted quirky fun. In that consideration, I am perfectly willing to have @JonT or @hollboll or @moose edit the picture out. Happiness of members important. I do not take joy in causing distress or offending others.
I hope the comments on the subject will be left.

I don't think you're a zealot and wasn't trying to equate you to that - though it seems that I did just that, unintentionally.
