Usually, I don’t take or do anything. I rarely take acetaminophen (Tylenol) and use naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn) rarely. [They made two mistakes in spelling ibuprofen.]
@Pony Same, 5mg Norco to be able to function with a totaled knee. Still working full-time as a maintenance Millwright, without the pills I’d be a shut-in cripple.
All of the above. Haven’t tried a massaging device, but it seems like manual massage and ice seems to help me. Not so much for my heel pain as it’s very short lived (can’t massage my foot forever) so I’m looking for something that lasts. Only reason I slept well last night was because of a combination of Advil and the one (?) night this year where it was 55 degrees in South Florida.
Choice gets made based on need for relief and type of pain involved. Tylenol is not my first choice. I keep most of the FDA-recognized OTC oral pain meds on hand. Herbs are for herbivores.
Ibuprofen helps for inflammation, but for general pain I have no response to most things. So basically I just sit with my eyes closed and try to convince myself it doesn’t hurt.
Depends. For GI pain I go with Grips BMGet a grip and let 'er rip. For headache, I reach for a glass of Crystal Pepsi. Muscles, I definitely call me friend Shaquille O’Neil for massage.
Pain relief? In THIS household? Preposterous. I have had the body of a hundred year old since I turned 20 and it has been a painful 8 years of nothing working.
Typically nothing. Sometimes ibuprofen and or acetaminophen. I also love African Botanics Therapy Gel for anything muscle related. That stuff is amazeballs!
Suck it up buttercup
@show_the_maw Usually this, sadly.
Nap
Wait it out.

What is ‘ibprofun’?
@PooltoyWolf The hashtag for someone who really likes fun…?
@ircon96 I like it!
Muscle: beer, wine, a good whiskey.
For migraines: don’t drink so much beer, wine or whiskey before going to sleep.
Opioids. Only thing that works on my osteoarthritis pain.

Kick a chair. What pain I had is gone, replaced with a new pain.
Just tough it out, mostly.

Make mine puh-puh-puh-vicodin!
Also, this:
Aspirin.
Yet again, I gotta go with Bourbon.
Beer and Excedrin, although usually not at the same time.

NSAIDs
I prefer A&A - Advil and Alcohol

Depends on the pain. Arthritis gets heat, Biofreeze and NSAIDS. Sprains and pulled muscles, any injury that results in swelling get ice.
Physical Therapy for my arthritis said heat on the back and ice on the legs.
Typically nothing. Sometimes ibuprofen and or acetaminophen. I also love African Botanics Therapy Gel for anything muscle related. That stuff is amazeballs!
Tramadol
Usually nothing at all. Recovering from a wrist fracture on dominant hand now, broke down and bought some aspirin.
