@guybrush01 My stress relief will be not having to watch Georgia political ads several times an hour. (I am in a neighboring state where the TV markets overlapped into parts of GA so it was pretty much saturation bombing of negative ads)
@tightwad we got this exact model in a slightly different box/name and it was okay for me but it really gave my wife terrible pain. she probably just exacerbated an existing issue and maybe it would have happened the same with any massage tool like this but still she was pretty miserable for a few a days
I’d love to hear how this kind of massager has worked for others as i’ve been wanting to try one for months! I’d like something for in between my monthly trigger point injections. Even though I love my tens unit it eats a 9 volt battery in a day!
On my battery budget… that’s TOO rich for my blood!!
@Lynnerizer have you tried lithium rechargeable 9v? I like the ones that charge by plugging a micro-usb directly into the battery. They aren’t cheap but work better than previous rechargeable versions I’ve tried. They maintain a steady output unlike previous 9v rechargeable technology, and since they incorporate a battery management circuit they protect themselves and are usable for many more cycles in my experience.
They do not work well for me in cordless microphone or radios, or anything audio related - introduce too much electrical noise - and it is possible they won’t work well in TENS either.
@Lynnerizer I have a very similar unit (the strappy one), I got it just over a year ago as a gift. It takes a few times to get the pressure and position right. Overall I enjoy it!
@Lynnerizer Heat is your enemy. Heat draws more fluid into an area which promotes inflammation. Use the acronym RICE instead. Vibrating an area is no substitute for massage whose goal in this case is to clean out fluid lurking in the area and replace it with fresh blood to remove lactic acid and promote healing. A heated buzzer will not do either. Meh.
The wrap around shoulder and neck massager look just the right length to also massage a perky chest. And that first picture of the pillow massager reminds of something rappers like.
Is Meh using marketing tricks or am I seeing things in strange ways?
@tweezak
Breathe in for 4-6 seconds letting your diaphragm expand your abdomen.
Hold for 6-7 seconds, whilst concentrating on relaxing any of your muscles that are unconsciously tensed.
Breathe out for 7-8 seconds, repeat as necessary for eternal stress relief.
Are these actually “rechargeable” meaning they have an internal battery? I assumed they were not, but the description says “DC charger for the car.”
I suspect it just runs from the 12V from the car directly. But then I see 3.5V 800ma for one of them, which doesn’t sound like enough to run the motors and generate the small amount of “heat.” So maybe it does have a built-in battery? Which is both good because it’s kind-of handy, and bad because Meh usually sells stuff with built-in batteries that may be near the end of their useful shelf-life and won’t hold a charge for longer than the return period.
@Fuzzalini I have one of the “pillow” types, which I use on my lower and middle back. It is shiatsu, so definitely hard, not soft. The trick is in how to position it so that it does a massage with just the right amount of pressure. I use a lounge chair, which I tilt back slightly with the massager behind my back. After the first try, I decided not to use it on my neck because it kept catching part of my neck between two (hard) moving objects, which was decidedly NOT relaxing!
This is quite frustrating. Neither the pics nor the “specs” tell us what is under the material, what does the massaging. Is it just two large red things, which would be really odd, as most have four nubs (or more or less) on each side. If it’s just two large objects, I doubt it would be as effective.
I have a couple that have four on each side, and it’s the closest to having an actual pair of hands, as you can get, especially so inexpensively. And I’m a 40-year licensed massage therapist.
When online stores don’t include all pertinent details, it means they’ll either lose potential customers, or have to deal with a lot of returns. We need to know what it is we would be buying…please.
My son just gave me this model (shiatsu neck massager)
for Christmas. It’s not bad. I like how you can rest your arms in the loops comfortably and gently move the massager around to hit the “trigger points”. I also used it on my lower back and my calf. It’s a little big, but I like it.
@stefgullett Same. Was it the “pillow” or the “sleeves”? Mine was the pillow. Less than 5 minutes and the power supply died.
Swapped in the power supply with the sleeves and it works. The dead supply feels a lot more chintzy and when I cracked it open the board is labeled “12v 1amp” which is half the rating on the outer sticker.

STRESS!!!
@yakkoTDI I thought “Eternal Stress Relief” was a nice way to say “death.”
@Pufferfishy He is funny as hell when he shows up on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Too hot for me.
Go Georgia! Sorry, no comment on the item for sale.
@guybrush01 My stress relief will be not having to watch Georgia political ads several times an hour. (I am in a neighboring state where the TV markets overlapped into parts of GA so it was pretty much saturation bombing of negative ads)
@guybrush01 I’ll be more stressed when our civil liberties are eroded and the SCOTUS is packed.
@catthegreat @guybrush01 I don’t think that’s what they were voting on, but… Mkay?
I, for one, applaud Meh for helping our collective mental health and starting out this year in normalcy… by keeping everything… meh.
Eternal? Not sure I can commit that long
@ybmuG eventually you will…
I tried one of the neck ones you put your arms in. I used it too long and was sore for 2 days! You can’t really use it while doing anything else.
@tightwad
Same thing happened to me.
@tightwad we got this exact model in a slightly different box/name and it was okay for me but it really gave my wife terrible pain. she probably just exacerbated an existing issue and maybe it would have happened the same with any massage tool like this but still she was pretty miserable for a few a days

I hate to rain on the parade but eternal stress relief is a thing but it doesn’t come from a shiatsu massager with or without heat. Just saying

“Your Choice of Eternal Stress”
Did you really want a line break right there?
Is the big one really a pillow or hard plastic? It’s very hard to tell from the pictures.

The part number is ShiatSusanBoyle?
@mdiaz Yeah but you gotta say it right:
Shiatsu-san-Boyle
EDIT I didn’t get it until your clue and then it made sense.
Eternal Use Only?

Hello. I ordered three of these and I only received two of them. Please advise.
@harbolt If you haven’t done so already, contact support so they can look into the matter.

I already owned the neck massager and liked it. The back massager just arrived and it feels SO good!
