@Cerridwyn
Even with a dishwasher there’s still a lot of stuff I refuse to put in it like pots and pans, knives, certain baking pans so it’s still a lot of hand washing.
@Star2236 I washed the non dishwasher safe knives when I use them. I don’t usually use the junk ones but if I do they just go in with everything else. Pots and pans most of the time I use something that’s okay in the dishwasher, if not I’m going to wash it what I use it. So other than washing the chef’s knife most days or pairing knife everything goes in the dishwasher most of the time.
I have no flooring (it’s either carpet or dirt at this point; sometimes carpet and dirt), so technically mopping is nothing to me. But if I’m in a household with flooring, then I’d rather pick dish duty.
Def dishes.
If the floor needs cleaning I can wear slippers, sandals, shoes, or boots (depending on the level of attention it needs)! On the other hand if I want to eat, at some point I need to have clean dishes at the house.
I did have a manager when I changed jobs to a new place and he had a recently remodeled kitchen with shiny wood floors. And a very fluffy cat.
The trick was to slide the cat as quickly as possible across the floor so it could go a good 15 feet or so. The cat would get up and come back to be launched again. This could go on for quite a while.
I have the help do both. That’s their job not mine.
It’s called a dishwasher.

Truthfully I’d probably do neither. Load the dishwasher and sweep the floor is about the extent of it for me.
Neither.
i don’t have to worry about mopping the floor; i have a dog for that.
@phendrick
@phendrick When the kids were young (and prone to spills at mealtime), our Doberman would come running when we called “Erin - vacuum!”.
@kittykat9180 Looks a lot like my dog, but obviously this one is better trained!
Due to recent inventions and innovations, I can hire a maid.
@hchavers what did you invent?
@hchavers @kittykat9180 a good story, if nothing else…
/showme cats washing the Dishes
@mycya4me That’s not how they do it.
(Tap on the picture if it’s not showing)
@Kyeh adorable.
I’ll be doing both

This is why I have a husband. I cook, he cleans.
@Kiki_D
Divide and conquer!
Neither. Dishwasher and wood floors. (sweep and bona)
@olperfesser
At my house, loading the dishwasher IS “doing the dishes”! If it won’t go into the dishwasher I try not to use it!
I have to do the dishes in order to clear out the sink so I can mop!
We’re not playing with the pets the Roomba takes care of the floor and the dishwasher does the dishes so I’m cool either way
