Meh, thought about it. Unfortunately, I already ordered it. Maybe I should have ordered the middle size instead of the big size. I get so confused. Oh well, who doesn’t need another battery pack.
@jonjen2@narfcake Yeah, but it was 4 of the 9000 ones for $20 for VMP. And wall warts seem to multiply around my house- you can’t open a drawer without finding one or two.
/giphy breeding chargers
@jonjen2@narfcake@sammydog01 Now that I find myself in need of chargers for the kids - I would jump all over that 4 pack deal if it was still ar Morningsave. The chargers really don’t matter to me, but the 4 9000 ones would have been perfect
@phendrick of course. If inefficient charging is your thing no one’s stopping you. It’s shitty for everyone but there’s no law against you being an ass. Yet
How is a charger worth 3 power banks? Am missing something??? The power banks are good. (Got the 4 pack from morningsave.com) for 2 bux less. Alibet the charger. But seriously; the charger ain’t worth the difference of 3 power banks.
Does the charger put out 2.4A on each port when two devices are plugged in, or 2.4A total? Asking for a friend, I have too many electronics for my own good…
@Jonas4321 This depends upon whether or not the circuit inside the charger is split vs. shared. But since I’ve yet to see a product (especially wall/portable battery chargers of any sort) list the charging amperage as anything less than the maximum available–no matter how many ports–this is almost certainly 2.4A (or, if you’re charging two devices, 1.2A per device).
TL;DR If this is actually a 4.8A charger in disguise, I’ll eat my hat. In fact, I’m so fully-engorged with confidence that this is 2.4A shared circuit that I’ll just come clean right now and admit that I don’t even have a hat, which means if I’m wrong I’d have to go buy one and then eat it.
It would be a cheap one though because I am very poor.
The power bank I carry around with me in my backpack holds in excess of 20,000 mAh. Going by the framework laid down by today’s writeup, what kind of person does that make me?
In for the 9000…Perfect for my moron stepdaughter who never charges her phone, is absolutely unprepared for emergencies and will have lost this anyway the first time she needs it…
@RedOak she knows shes a moron…and so is her video gaming boyfriend…not only do they have one 11 month old…they have just announced she is pregnant…again. All this with her not working, them breaking up and him living with grandma making 300 a week…and yes, I adore all of them…but they’re morons
So I live Wilmington North Carolina which just had hurricane Florence come through. During the eight days I was without power which was seven more days than the mayor of Wilmington was without power Democrat bill saffo. I started to appreciate all the things I had bought from the old woot and meh.com. like that Halo Lantern 3 pack and the fire alarm CO2 sensor motion sensor night light thingamajiggy that they had a while back pocket knives that I bought the Bluetooth speaker the d o r c y flashlights etc… Then my son brought out a Duracell power bank that i also got from here and that bad boy kept us going for a a while but I realized I did not have a power bank myself so thanks for offering a power bank today and thanks for all the stuff you’ve offered over the years that I’ve said ti myself “well maybe when the power goes out or when we have another hurricane it’ll get used” cuz all those things and many more that I can’t remember right now I’ve gotten used during my eight days without power 11 days without central air and 14 days without cable. You will not be surprised that Spectrum our cable company sent a bill for a full months worth of service yesterday.
@dino2269 Not surprised about Spectrum… Sorry for all that you experienced. I have a friend that lives in Wilmington as well. He tested his generator and thought he was good to go, only to have it shut down almost immediately. I went thru Harvey. We were blessed to be on west side of storm, but were stiff affected. I know things are not all up and running yet, but happy there is some power restored. Any phone bank is awesome in a disaster. I bought a combo car charger, compressor and it has usb ports, so can also charge phones. Not sure how many phone banks I actually have…lol I have a box in my closet.
Stocking up on USB battery banks is nice insurance that it will be at least another 10 years before you lose power again… at which point these banks will be dead.
If you really want to ensure your community never loses power, spend $4,000-10,000 on a whole house generator.
@dino2269 I live just north of you in Jacksonville and had pretty much all the same issues except Spectrum was out for 20 days in my neck of the woods and power was out for 12 days but it could always be worse, we could be living in the new Bern or Pollocksville area. My dad lives about a mile for me on the new river in Jacksonville and got about 2 foot of water in his house and my best friend lives in marsh sound ( behind Bradley Creek ) and had about 2 foot of water in this first floor so I definitely consider myself lucky and I to have pulled out all of my stuff that I bought in recent years from meh and woot and put it to work for me (Especially the solar power generator from woot in able me to watch over the air TV for a few hours each day). Anyway hope your recovery goes well, I will be down in Wilmington probably tomorrow helping some friends out with their mess.
@bigtom67@dino2269 I drove through Pollocksville just today. Amazing to see the huge piles of furniture, insulation, drywall, 2X4’s, electronics, and other belongings pulled out and heaped at the curb to be picked up and taken to the landfill. Some houses it looked like virtually everything they owned got ruined. And all the multiple businesses that had their display cases and other furnishings ruined, just sitting out at the curb awaiting the scrap heap. Sure, seeing a news story about how ‘cleanup will take months’ is one thing, but seeing the sheer, absolute amount of stuff people were forced to remove from their houses really brings it home on a more personal level. I even had a guy in the gas station parking lot in Emerald Isle offer to hire all five of my crew for demo work, because they’re so swamped. It’s just amazing how much STUFF we all have, and how quickly it can all become stuff we USED to have.
I bought the 9000mah one. There are 5 leds to indicate battery level. I’ve used two leds to go from 51% to 96%. This is on a 2800mah battery. Not conclusive, but not impressive.
Finally had a need to use this sneaker and it did not work! It will hold a charge but just won’t give that juice to any device. I smashed the hell out of it and threw it away.
I am sure too much time has passed to try to get a refund. For the future any Meh items you purchase, try them out right away, fully.
My 9000 worked for a while, but now that we are passed the 90 days, there is no longer any power on the ports. It does detect a cable being plugged in, but won’t charge or run a USB device.

@shahnm I need to sleep on whether that’s a good thing.
@cinoclav @thechinglish I snorted.
Was tempting until I saw you were offering a plug-in wall charger.
I was looking forward to seeing one that goes into a car with a cigarette lighter.
eh, why not

@D_a_v_e Sorry, this deal contains 3 unique items and I’m not sure which one you want. You can review how to pick one, or just try ordering from the checkout page.

Meh, thought about it. Unfortunately, I already ordered it. Maybe I should have ordered the middle size instead of the big size. I get so confused. Oh well, who doesn’t need another battery pack.
@charlie_tca Not too late to cancel and reorder.
Also I don’t. I seem to have a lot of battery banks already, for some … reason.
This is cool I guess but still not MEH face pop socket cool
@deathbynoodlez I am now in desperate need of the face pop socket, too
@reclaimercube keep the dream alive
They had a 4 pack on morningsave for 22.00. WTF Meh.
@jonjen2 That’s without the charger, right?
@jonjen2 @narfcake Yeah, but it was 4 of the 9000 ones for $20 for VMP. And wall warts seem to multiply around my house- you can’t open a drawer without finding one or two.

@jonjen2 @narfcake who on Earth needs or wants another USB charger? Its giving away junk
@jonjen2 @narfcake @sammydog01 Now that I find myself in need of chargers for the kids - I would jump all over that 4 pack deal if it was still ar Morningsave. The chargers really don’t matter to me, but the 4 9000 ones would have been perfect
@mfladd They are perfect, mostly because my kids took all the other ones. These are mine, don’t touch them.
@narfcake ,well ya, but who doesn’t have 20 or so chargers by now?
But can I use the 9000 to charge the 6000, and the 6000 to charge the 4200, and the 4200 to charge my phone (so none of them feel left out)?
@phendrick of course. If inefficient charging is your thing no one’s stopping you. It’s shitty for everyone but there’s no law against you being an ass. Yet

@jonjen2 You paid how much for which ones?
A DC charger and a AC charger; a fraternal twin deal.
@hchavers not WORTH IT!

So, I’m confused. I live in Cincinnati, do I still need the middle one, or is the small one big enough for my scenario?
@kjgreen all answers lie at Senate Pub on Vine street…order the poutine and a beer…
